Hi all, this is a just for fun parody of the contents in the recent interview where we remaster the changes to professions-Ranger Style.
Well, since the only other profession I have is a Warrior, I’ll start off with the Warrior section.

Banners
-Banner improvement, increased attributes that the banners apply; instead of 90 you will have 95 attribute points.

-However, Boon duration and Crit Damage Bonuses have been reduced to 8% to account for balancing issues.

-Banner skill 5, Plant Standard, will now have its casting time and cooldown removed.

Rampage
-Warriors now have access to the Burst Skill, “Stampede” while in Rampage form which applys 10/15/20s of swiftness to you and nearby allies base on adreneline level. We believe that this will increase the mobility of warriors as well as providing a good team-wide buff.

-Throw boulder has been reworked-it now summons a boulder at your location which can also be picked upped and used by your allies, providing a good utility skill to the team. Cooldown of the skill has also been reduced to 11s.

-Cooldown of Stomp Reduced to 12s

Condition Removal
-The 25 point minor trait in the Arms Tree, “Attack of Opportunity” has been reworked. It now removes one random condition when attacking a bleeding target(10s cooldown)

-The 15 point minor trait in the Discipline Tree, “Fast Hands”, has been replaced by “Refreshing Burst” which removes one random condition upon using your burst skill

All in all, we believe that these changes will certainly be able to encourage more players to use some of the more underused skills like “Rampage”. Also, we hope that it will be able to address the issue of warriors being “shut-down” by condition damage in PvP.

I think he was going for if warrior was treated as ranger has been in past patches.

Pets have been hidden due to rising Player complaints.

From what I understood they wanted to change the banners to have +170 to attributes instead of 90, not 95 instead of 90. That change would be hilarious^^

Well clearly they are focusing on only a few classes at a time, and having a ranger (my first 80) I know where he’s coming from as that class is so useless right now it’s not even funny.

My argument is that things with very similar function all work differently. Look at Swoop, Ride the Lightning, and Rush. All have similar damage, range, and cooldown… except the Warrior is the only class in the game where their movement abilities are affected by movement impairing effects.

And then look at spirits. Effectively the same thing as banners and yet they can’t move, have worse buffs, and can be targeted and destroyed?

I realize they want 8 distinct and unique classes, but that doesn’t mean every ability each class has must work in an entirely different way. This is an MMO with actual group events and dungeons and such… there should be overlap to ensure a group doesn’t need a certain class before they can start.

Spirits should follow the ranger and shouldn’t be targeted just like banners.
All movement impairing effects should be ignored when using movement skills and you’ll simply be snared when you end up wherever the spell drops you.
Now that mesmer GS is a beam, is the Ranger’s longbow the only weapon in the game with a #1 skill that does nothing special?

One of these things is not like the other…. To the point it’s not Rush, in fact it’s Ride the Lightning as far as I have experienced with movement impairing effect.

Pets have been hidden due to rising Player complaints.
