Sundering Mace/Reflect Missiles Changes

If that was done, I’d definitely love Mace + Shield.
MH with a block & CC plus OH with a block & CC ? Yes, please!
Try your best to not make mistakes, but, when you do make mistakes, learn from them.
Better yourself.

What’s nice is that due to the Adrenaline and Skull Crack changes it’s difficult enough to hit that it justifies the powerful effect. It forces a real choice between the AoE/Ease of use that is Hammer and the strong single target CC/Stab stripping of Mace. Atm Mace is USEABLE but not worth taking over all that AoE.

If you had mace just boon strip like Mesmer Sword … I’d be all over that.
Don’t see it happening since their solution was +3% damage per boon on target (meh), but hey, one can dream.
I’m still curious about a Mace build that focuses on keeping weakness on your target while also having good condition removal for itself. Weakness to reduce enemy direct damage while cleanses to reduce enemy condition damage. Then wear them down.
Haven’t gotten around to testing that idea out yet :-/

You could try something like this I suppose. Having 15% extra damage when they’re weaknened could be somewhat useful now that the AA actually works.
EDIT: If you want to try something silly you could do something like this (it’s probably awful).

Aye, I’ve thought about it … though Dogged March is too darn good in my opinion.
Interestingly enough … you could go even farther with that +% damage if you dual wielded:
- Sundering Mace : +10% damage to foes suffering from Weakness.
- Cull the Weak : +5% damage to foes suffering from Weakness.
- Dual Wielding : +5% damage if you are using a Sword/Axe/Mace as your OH.
If you really wanted to be glassy, you could put 5 in Arms as well for Attack of Opportunity for another +10% damage to foes suffering from Weakness. With bleed on-crit from that same line, you’re likely to benefit from this.

Good suggestions Burr.

I like it.
But boon removal doesn’t seem very warrior-y.
a proposal for consideration:
sundering mace- mace attacks ignore stability effects.
thoughts?
wild unfounded thinking:
-promotes use of offhand mace.
-addresses stability blocking cc effect, but in a very limited scope
does kinda mess up a nice clean stability makes you safe from cc riff, but also leaves targets protected from Other cc, ie: bulls charge won’t knockdown.
probably needs some fluff about warrior mace smashing straight through stability, will probably still need an icd, but potentially less since you’re not actually removing the stability.
ya and people will just get skullcracked all day , no tx , won’t and shouldn’t happen.
