warrior and we’re the best class” Eugene

shouts are healing around 6k x 5 every 20 seconds, if you have 5 warriors running shouts thats nearly 100k heals every 20 seconds without even thinking about the condition removal and buffs they are giving.
Wrong shouts are healing for around 3k every 25-30 seconds. And curing 4 conditions. on a 3 shout build. With no stability, and one stun breaker.
Mending + Melandru Setup is currently curing 3 conditions 5.5k every 20 seconds. and making the warriors immune to CC. Freeing up all the utility slots for even more condition removal than shouts could provide. And providing more stability and stun breakers than a warrior could ever ask for and Endure pain if you wanted it.
Guardians can go contemplation of purity and save your selfs and cure more conditions from a zerg than a shout warrior could ever dream to cure. Rangers and Eles can throw down water fields and gurdians can spam blast in them and heal for more HP than a warrior can ever dream to.
Shouts are not only Over kill but they are not needed and not the best anymore. And its pretty much been like this for months.
Edit I think shouts are still a pretty viable build that still works really well. Just given the other options that warriors and organized guilds can now go I don’t see it as the #1 build anymore.
3.3 k on zerker traits with 0 points in defense and not picking shout reduction, 6k every 25 sec with little effort. Do we know each other? last tsym workshop I was at all warriors had to run 2 water 2 monk 2 sanctuary. I just always ran my shout heals, I use to run with tsym alot before they left sos
I use last stand trait instead of using a utility slot on it for stability.
Well guess what that was a long time ago and that was way before warrior got all these buffs. Back then that was the only way to go. Did all you guys quit the game and just come back? Just seems like so many people are like 6months behind the meta. Seems like I live in NY and listening to the coll new music and got the latests fashions, and the rest of you guys lives in the country on a farm here the music a year later and rocking my gear that is already played out.
FGJ no healing power 1240hp shake it off same thing 1240 since u would want to run stability. Its not 3.3k Since I just tested it 2480 sorry. Way better ways to deal with conditions now. 2480 is about equivalent to a single one of my crits off of auto attack on a hammer.

So is it not worth it to run Soldier runes double shouts with healing at all?
I run with the zerg and am one of the few “puggies” who actually is on TS and who does pay attention to the commander. I’m not a member of one of the major WvW guilds mostly due to time constraints but I aim to be as useful as possible.
I never find conditions to be an issue just using traited warhorn/soldiers runes/shouts x2 but as pointed out I’m not working in a void.
I guess I’ll have to break down and double gear to test a Stance build with Melandru.
I never dip down low into my HP numbers (you can see pic above, around 32k) unless the entire team has wiped so I thought I should mess with trading vitality for other stats.
So today I am experimenting with swapping my rings and earrings for knights.
Self buffed stats with no sigil stacks now look something like
3460 attack
43% crit chance
21% crit dmg
3409 armor
28k healthI am pretty excited to try this out later.
How exactly do you achieve these stats? <.<
He is obviously including a ton of boons in those figures.
Warriors in ZvZ shouldn’t even be concerned with damage in their builds because every other light profession heavily out damages you from a range. Warriors can’t fufill the DPS role.
No offense intended…
This seems to be a prevalent (and erroneous opinion) among a lot of people who are ironically trying to emulate setups from guilds who may or may not share their view on the warriors role.
The fact that we use shout heals and condi cleanse on shouts does not in any way shape or form mean that the warriors are not also the core of the focused DPS in guild raid groups.
I think you might be surprised at the gear some of the top guilds are running on their warriors. I can tell you its not pure 100% PVT gear… And if all the warriors in my guild tried to show up to a raid in pure PVT gear our commander would NOT be happy.

I stated they were self buffed stats.
Boons were.
Fury (permanent uptime)
8-11 stacks might (permanent uptime)
Gear is basically Soldier armor, Soldier runes, Soldier amulet, Knights Earrings, Knights Rings, Berserker weapons.

Ok thx. First I thought you meant the buffs from killing npcs which give you 5 stacks power/health. But the critchance looked strange if only rings/earrings had been changed.
Crazy health. Wish I’d got my war to 80 before the Sentinel gear was discontinued and still cheap. Have the jewels from left over Azurite Orbs, but not the full armor.
And that is really nice to be able to switch up stats like that. Do you use the same build, or have to retrait too?
Sorry, I wasn’t Home and couldn’t answer you. I have to retrait.
My longbow build is a basic and simple zerk build (No heal, no healing power, no sustain, etc… Just pur degat). Whereas my other one is a tanky one.
In blob, you can go full zerk if you have ranged weapon.

Yeah the ring/earring change netted me a solid 13% crit and more toughness. I’ve done some WvW with it, nothing crazy yet, but so far I’m very happy with the changes. Definitely consistently hitting quite a bit harder and don’t feel like I lost really any sustain.

I really like having both a Melandru and Soldiers set, highly recommend it. I equip whichever is needed in any given situation – usually Melandru/Stance/Physiscal for roaming or pub zerg, or Soldiers/2x Shout/Balanced Stance if I join up with a tagless guild with their frontline all running Soldiers. That flexibility is well worth it.
You can get the gear either from badges, or if you have a ton of karma you don’t know what to do with and want to save your badges for something else, Melandru Temple in Orr has 4/6 PVT, and one of the other temples (forgot which) has PVT boots, leaving only Helm you’ll have to get with badges.
