Dear god.
This is the most overpowered class in the game and yet there are still plenty of you complaining.
I don’t understand it. I can’t understand it. Other classes are unusable and you all feel as if you’re worthless in PvP. You’re complaining about very minimal bugs in comparison to the fact that rangers have two weapons that don’t even work correctly, and necros had one of their trait lines completely unusable. Engineers , too, are no longer useable at all in PvP, as they took away their only viable build.

All of you who play warriors are getting the royalty treatment. Learn to play better instead of complaining about how you get hurt by classes that are far worse off then your own.

Be glad that Issiah and Jon Peters play warriors, because they’re the only class that’s ever going to receive any good treatment.

so we cant complain about warr bugs until ALL the other classes bugs are fixed?

calm down, go out and get some real life. this is just a game… lol

You’re complaining about very minimal bugs

Again, see Vengeance bug. Or are you implying waiting 30-40 seconds for respawn (two respawn timers) is just a ‘very minimal bug’?

Pretty much HALF of our avaliable weapons is useless in PvP.

Also: http://www.gw2league.com/rankings-spvp.aspx (Fun fact – Fredzw, the only Warrior currently on the list, mostly plays Guardian)

In comparison to the other professions? Yeah, it is rather minimal, since vengeance is overpowered in it’s own right considering the massive amount of damage a warrior can do in a short amount of time.

Half your weapons aren’t useless in PvP, it’s just that the greatsword is so incredibly powerful that it’s pointless to use anything else.

Again, it’s a minimal bug and one of the few bugs that warriors actually have. All the warrior has received since launch are an endless amount of buffs and are the most versatile class in the game, and will likely remain that way for a long time considering the road that this game is going down.

Then again, it’s not like anyone playing warrior has a reason to worry; the vengeance bug will most definitely be patched and warriors will receive yet another round of buffs while other, more bugged classes get ignored as the game drives itself further into the ground.

So, warriors? Quit. Your. kittening.

Anyone with half a brain can say that Warrior is going to pop Vengeance soon. Then it’s just a matter of avoiding/kiting him until he drops. Which isn’t so difficult.

Ofc, I often pop Vengeance and burst people who are in the mid of stomp animation on me. That’s exactly the reason I never try stomping a Warrior who’s been on the ground for ~10s already.

Also, many of us play just fine without the GS. I had a lot of fun & success playing axe/mace + sword/shield. There are many other weapons that do not belong in PvP though: Rifle. Longbow. Offhand Sword. Offhand Axe. Mainhand Mace is very rare. Warhorn is used pretty much only for swiftness when running between points.

Also, Sir, I believe you are in a serious need of reality check. 80% of patches since launch never mentioned Warrior. The remaining 20% were either minor bug fixes (like wrong icons in this patch) or buffs to underwater combat no one cares about. You are free to head to News subforum and read old patch notes for yourself.

Also the fact you see all the other classes being useless/ignored makes me wonder which pararell universe you come from.

It’s easy to understand. Because of your claim about being “teh mostest op class in teh game!” all you need to understand is that the only thing coming your way is a flood of L2P. Warriors are consistant in that they:
Blast noobs into paste
Are outshined by any other class (besides rangers atm) with a semi-competent player controlling it.

Fast hands only is broken on the very first swap after you turn it on our load a map. After that it works. Fixing that first time bug is extraordinarily difficult, but we think it is worth it to keep the trait.

Jon Peters, here’s what’s happening:
-you get in combat
-swap in combat
-10 sec cd (bug)
-from this point, if you DON’T get out of combat, swap cd is 5 sec as intended.
-HOWEVER, scenario 2: you get out of combat
-swap out of combat
-5 sec cd (bug)
-get in combat
-swap in combat
-back to 10 sec cd (bug)

I hope this will help fixing the bug.

This is entirely correct. More formally:

The first weapon swap with Fast Hands while in combat will be 10 seconds, and subsequent Fast Hands swaps will be 5 seconds. If any of those subsequent swaps occur out of combat, it is still 5 seconds, and the next weapon swap in combat is 10 seconds.

This is extremely easy to replicate and has been enumerated on these forums multiple times. I thought this was common knowledge, but it seems like only 1 or 2 other people knew what the issue even was.

I’m going to carry this detail over to the Warrior Bug thread. I hope someone at ANet reads it sometime, because seeing that post was a pretty substantial bummer. There are times, especially in WvWvW, where I need to switch over to my Hammer for initiation, but I can’t because I know it’ll reset my cooldown to 10 seconds in-combat and I need to be able to swap back to GS within 5 seconds in order to maximize my potential to survive a deep dive. This happens regularly, and pulling a random mob to set my next fight up is slowly building general irritation.

DUDE, finally some projectile finishers, this is all i ever dreamed off!!!…

Seriously, looking at the other professions’ patch notes, i am really disappointed – again.
Why won’t Anet give us warriors some love?

You obviously haven’t properly looked through other profession patch notes to see where their all at because comparatively warriors are in a good spot right now, they really are.

Players load the map many, many times in a match (dying and respawning). That means the extremely lengthy 10 second weapon swap cooldown bug occurs very frequently in a single match.

It doesn’t help that the first time you weapon swap is when you’re engaging in combat with opponents – the most crucial time where you absolutely need the 5 second swap CD.

Hey guys don’t worry. Other classes were nerfed so we’re in a “good” spot right now. Lets just ignore the fact that we’re still the last class(besides ranger) to be looked for in PvP.

Anet is on their way to breaking all their classes, as they foolishly try to bring them down to our level. Instead of raising their “template” standards that some say is the warrior.

I don’t wanna live a thousand years. If I just live through today, that’ll be enough.

I had hoped to just ignore silly public opinion but as it seems dev resources are scarce and affected by words repeated enough times, here goes.

Balance-wise, I’m fine with warriors as they are. PvE leveling could maybe use a nerf but who cares about that. Spvp has issues but those aren’t really warrior issues as such, just the spvp in general has been in bad state (bunkers) and thieves too good at filling mobility/burst role comparatively. WvW is fine.

Bug-wise, warriors aren’t better off than many of the others. Our popular builds avoid bugs where they can, same as others. With a special case like necros, I’ll suggest fixing 3 necro bugs for every warrior one. But in the end of the day, we need our stuff fixed too.

I think were in a good spot in PvE and PvP (tiny bit underpowered against some builds), we do have a few bugs that needs to be fixed than we’ll be the most balanced class in-game. For those saying warriors are op, you’re a bad player.

Thanks for your sympathy but for the sake of fairness I’m gonna correct this one too. Warriors didn’t suffer in the patch and have been mostly not even been mentioned since launch. One of our least used weapons was even buffed a bit. Just the bug fixes were insignificant and not the stuff everybody has been hoping to see for a long time.

The new bugs that got introduced for mesmers and rangers suck of course. Not aware of unintended thief changes yet.

Which one of you is paying off anet devs? patch after patch of nerfs to other, weaker classes (even engies now) and warriors always walk away unscathed. I want to know what the going rate for a complete class is.

Warrior is easily the most balanced profession.

It may be extraordinarily difficult but its is also extraordinarily detrimental to have something not work the FIRST time you need it. First time, every time.

By “turn it on” I’m assuming you mean entering combat and “turning on” a separate 5s cooldown weapon swap, correct? Does that mean “Fast Hands” is an entirely different weapon swap skill that, in order to activate it, you must tell it you’re in-combat by swapping while fighting?

I don’t understand how the weapon swapping skill cooldown is any different from all other skills’ cooldowns. Every other skill cooldown reduction trait works just fine as a percentage. Why not treat the trait “Fast Hands” as a 50% reduction in weapon swap cooldown that applies directly to the 10s swap time?

I would suggest that, before reporting this as a bug, you make sure you have LoS, you weren’t blinded, you weren’t blocked, the target didn’t evade, and you weren’t out of range.

The problem is that many mesmer-only players are currently not aware of how the game works yet because they were playing with a broken/OP mechanic. Since the fix, they’re steadily realizing how OP they were to begin with and wanting it back.

Well even though this is my opinion I would say that it is not really silly. Read up on what other’s are saying, the warrior is relatively balanced. Yes like every profession there are some bugs, but hopefully they will be looked at. Try playing a ranger and have half of your ranged shots “obstructed” there are few things more frustrating.

Yep so true, legitimately balanced is underpowered and overpowered/easy to play/game breaking/easy to abuse is balanced to this community’s standards.

Since people are negative about nerfs, how about we buff to balance then?

Warriors are balanced, that’s what I was saying too. The public opinion I referred to was how this is used as some sort of counter argument when bug fixes are desired. Separate things.

The obstructed shots are not a ranger bug but an issue with projectile mechanics in the game. Warriors have very few ranged abilities that are not projectile based and we see this as well. It’s the main thing stopping Bolas from being popular I think, and besides both ranged weapons also happens with ranged slow gap closers on melee weapons. Shortening the distance and making sure the terrain is completely flat if not actually concave helps of course but reduces the useful situations for these skills. No need for any particular profession to feel insulted here though, even casters have many projectiles.
