Berserkers play like watered down burn guards.
Please buff, seriously. If the dev team could only buff one last elite for the rest of their lives, please make it Berserker.

and maybe buff DH too as a bonus so I have a reason to come to forum and LMAO from the QQ threads

I tried it and I agree this is lazy change. They tried to fix it the easy way and it bring nothing more. It add damage yeah but lack utility and synergy other class have.

They don’t want to fix that. They just did that to mute us.

At least you know forum moderators are relaying warrior threads to the balance team. The improvement was slight and still nowhere near what a herald, DH, scrapper, reaper could do. They are faster with making changes now than they were pre HoT

i was using rune of ogre and soldier amulet on my warrior, was doing great, won like 10 games in a row. Then the next day, they removed rune of ogre lmao. I got kittened and just remade my warrior with the metabuild from metabattle.com. I feel so kitten now compared to my old build. But its still viable. But your right since hot builds are definitely stronger then old meta builds, warrior doesn’t seem to have anything new. But thats ok becaues I didn’t buy hot, so at least I don’t feel kitten on my pre hot warrior build, compared to something like non reaper necro

but rather the skill level of some DH are so underpowered, they started to panic when their HP depleted from my burns and bleeds and thought running away from combat would alleviate the condis I applied on them

The Real Problem why warrior sucks now is becuz of so many random evading attacks, random blind, random block, random slow, random CCs, random invisible traps, random invulnerability, random dodge of other classes.

Even fast hand base line will not solve this problem and I am pretty sure of it Becuase why war sucks is becuz we can’t hit but everything is missing. Zerker (either stance or berserker) Warrior is def unplayable right now becuz warrior does not have ability like evading attack but only purely direct dmg on enemy that is very much predictable.

For support warrior, they heal less than celestial druid unless warior uses cleric or settler amulet plus Banner regen heal. But with those amulet they have absolutely less damage than druid. Even though war having Cleric level of amulet, cele druid does similar healing support to Cleric level of support warrior. So if you run shout warrior it is a bit more playable than zerker warrior, but its like inferior version of the druid and you will get rekt by cele druid ranger at the end, takes long time tho.

Warrior is just almost un-playble in high tier of TPvP matchs where you get matched against high tier people who are in the guild like The Abjured or Apex or watever. I feel like I am getting avg -15% less winrate after HoT expansion. And every people who got me in their party saying like “can you plz stop playing kittening warrior?”

I think it’s just time to quit the game and come back when warrior become normal state. it will take at least more than half an year to one year becuz

these are selected as meta team comps in metabattle.com
which means anet will support only those classes for more than half an year. They will not correct balance until something happened in world tournament and I am pretty sure of it. And we witnessed alrrady that nerfing dd cele ele took more than an year.

The game become like pay to win right now.
Even Tarcis ditched warrior as well. I am probly gonna take long break too.

Well since metabattle.com released those builds and 2~3 weeks after from that date, people got pretty much skilled to their new op build thus my winrate dropped a lot eventually and its from like a week ago. That is why. 2~3 weeks before was fine tho but now is different since people very much skilled at those new builds.

I just started playing revenant! It’s great! Everything warrior could have asked for. I’ll be honest I’m 98 percent warrior with 8k games on it and this is the first time I have every really tired a new class and omg it is so much fun!!! No more running and running after people just 1200 range tele spam or going entire games not even having to use your heal. I’d say just drop warrior and play the new hotness I’ve waited for the buffs but at this point I’ve pretty much lost faith in their ability to balance. O and it only took me a day to feel confident on my revenant lol this kitten is soooooo easy!!! Just spam the duck out of UA and everything dies! It’s amazing the class plays itself. It’s like they introduced botting in the game lol I literally take may hands off the keyboard half the time. Face it warrior is pretty much done at this point, reaper dh druid and rev are skill less and op as duckkkk!

^ to be honest the new specs are fun and very easy to get started on, there’s never been a better time to make the jump from warrior.

Warrior is a bit like vanilla ranger, in so much as it really needs a redesign consisting of an increased skill floor + ceiling to be fun to play against whilst being viable. And I don’t mean just making it UP like it was back in the day.

Berserker is really just like polishing a t**d right now… Whether it’s OP or oki is another matter

Anet devs need to understand that buffing damage of a warrior does NOT help a warrior at all. It’s the bloody mechanics that doesn’t allow the warrior to fully utilize himself.

1) Very little survivability – Adrenaline nerf (rapid degen ooc) and Cleansing Ire nerf (draining adrenaline whether or not the attack is missed/block) has hit the warrior’s ability to perform consistently hard.

Solution: Undo these changes

2) Bugged physical skills – Seriously will they be ever fixed? Rush, Bull’s charge, savage leap, Eviscerate and Whirlwind attack (rarely) are the skills that comes to my mind that misses the target ~50% of the time except WW which is a rare case. Imagine if mesmer’s shatter skills missed, a guardian’s trap missed, ele’s burst skulls missed, etc. This renders the warrior completely useless in certain situations where the tides could’ve turned into the warrior’s favor.

Solution: Make Rush and BC teleports and increase the range of the other skills and fix the bugs first

3) Blind spam, evade spam, block spam of other classes – while warrior can’t do any of these lol. Blind is very powerful on a warrior, being a melee class primarily and two handers on warrior are so slow that blind spams almost neutralizes a warrior.

Solution: Nerf access to blind, blocks of ALL classes. They should be rare and should be used wisely, not just spam it. Remove sigil of energy from PvP as well

It’s important for people to play a warrior in PvP settings. Otherwise, who would new players practice their dodges against? Most straightforward and telegraphed skills in the game are a great starting point for people who haven’t done any PvP to learn when to dodge another player’s skills.

I Think I’d rather get warrior skills fixed first, maybe undo adrenaline/CI nerf and then look at how things goes for warrior with their skills actually landing.

If it still needs something else afterward, it could be addressed. But basic skills behavior fix is more important than anything else for the warrior right now.

I agree that nerfing everyone down to the level of warrior would not be the way to fix things. Slightly nerfing the problematic elite specs and slightly improving warrior with their basic skills seems a much better idea to me. After all we aim for a balanced game with the new elements from HoT beign competitive while the core profession should still be competitive. The paradise would be when the name of ‘’elite specialisation’’ doesn’t equal to beign a superior traitline, just another choice for the player to choose for his 3 traitlines build.

You guys misunderstood my post. I never called for nerfs to all other classes to bring it down to warrior’s level. I did ask to tone down the spamming of blind and blocks because often their usage timing decide the outcome of a battle. Blind spamming is ridiculously OP on a melee class like warrior and once zerker stance runs out, warriors really can’t do anything about it. I am specifically referring to certain traits and skills which is on a low CD.

Zerker (either stance or berserker) Warrior is def unplayable right now becuz warrior does not have ability like evading attack but only purely direct dmg on enemy that is very much predictable.

For support warrior, they heal less than celestial druid unless warior uses cleric or settler amulet plus Banner regen heal. But with those amulet they have absolutely less damage than druid. Even though war having Cleric level of amulet, cele druid does similar healing support to Cleric level of support warrior. So if you run shout warrior it is a bit more playable than zerker warrior, but its like inferior version of the druid and you will get rekt by cele druid ranger at the end, takes long time tho.

Warrior is just almost un-playble in high tier of TPvP matchs where you get matched against high tier people who are in the guild like The Abjured or Apex or watever. I feel like I am getting avg -15% less winrate after HoT expansion. And every people who got me in their party saying like “can you plz stop playing kittening warrior?”

I think it’s just time to quit the game and come back when warrior become normal state. it will take at least more than half an year to one year becuz

You should consider giving the Herald spec a try. The OP of this thread was spot on about how Revenant feels almost like a warrior. In fact, a lot of veteran warriors have swapped to playing Herald including Tarcis who I’ve encountered recently on my main acct.

The problem is all about warrior missing most of attacks whose attack animation is very much predictable due to following reasons,

In terms of Zerkering :
1. tons of random evading attacks (rev, rhief)
2. tons of random blinds (thief or many others)
3. tons of random blocks or block to heal (rev)
4. tons of random slows (mes or others)
5. tons of random CCs (guard, engi)
6. tons of random invisible traps (guard)
7. tons of random invulnerabilities (mes or something else)
8. tons of random dodges (thief)
9. tons of perma stability (necro)
10. tons of healing (ranger)

How can zerker warrior land their damages correctly under the system like this?

In terms of Supporting :
1. Cleric/Settler level of Banner + Shout warrior lacks in healing support than Celestial level of Druid. (ranger)
2. tons of interruption stated on above zerker part makes Battle Standard almost useless (thief and many others)

How can Cleric/Settler support warrior support people since Celestial druid does more damage and more healing support under the system like this?

In this case, what can I suggest them? idk.

The game system now is just totally messed up for warrior only who doesn’t have skills like evading attack like rev or daredevil does but only purely lands their each attacks that is pretty much predictable to be easily missed.

For constructive suggestion…?

idk~ maybe warrior have some baseline trait that increase vitality based on power+prec+cond dmg they have? so zerker warrior would have like 100000 hp like boss monster of any RPG game, so zerker warrior might kill his enemy at the end somehow? I know anet want to keep warrior being easiest class, so it is easiest way in fact. It will work i guess, becuz zerker warrior has dmg to kill but lacks in survavlity to survive from above lists that makes warrior unplayable. It can start from 40000hp and more buff up to 60k..80k..100k whenver it doesn’t work lol If increasing HP by 2x,3x up to 5x times doesn’t solve the problem, then granting 2s of resistance for using each stance or rage skill to help successfully land their skills would probably solve the problem as well.

Similarly, for support warrior, just buff healing support amount by 1.5x~2x times, so support warrior has similar amount of healing support to druid when those 2 equip same amulet? and faster Battle Standard cast time or granting stability for using Shake it Off to solve Battle Standard 100% failure of summoning it. And more condi cleanse per shout, like guardian bunker does cleanse 2 condi per a shout from both trait and soldier rune.

Actually I am pretty much enjoying pvp in these days.
Whenever I enter PvP, I hear “kitten, we got kittening warrior!” and guess what? In this case we mostly lose and I says “it’s not my fault” lolll

I disagree, actually buffing the damage is good. ANY buff is good! However, it’s not enough! What good is buffing our attack power if can be completely nullified? I swear other classes get a LOT of blind spam, teleport spam, get-out-of-jail free cards. A lot of that stuff is PASSIVE.

I honestly think that warrior’s power is in a good state. The attacks hit really hard but the problem lies in the fact that they’re very difficult to land which is exactly where Anet needs to buff the warriors.

Warrior is dead. I mostly enjoy chat rather than fight in every matchs. I do participate. But when the score gap between them goes higher than 150+ i usually stop figjting but just chat and enjoy Chat Wars 2 life and this is what online game meant for.. Lol (and there is no /resign)

Of course, I still play warrio too. And of course, you can still play warrior too, since the game is designed to be team play. It means your team mates all lose but not just you alone. Since you have companies to lose all together with, you probably won’t feel that lonliness for losing match.

heh on warrior i found that no matter what you do ull die anyways vs a good player well good…..easy to be good on an OP kitten broken class where you just gotta press 2 button and completly annhiliate someone…..anyways ya just reroll warrior are done with pvp you can try any build you want or anything ull just get rekt anyways unless that player is really bad thats how the game is atm

Yesterday’s PvP daily included winning a game with a warrior. I usually just win the game with my Dragonhunter and log onto my warrior before the match is over to complete the daily, but since we now get dishonored if we log out to change characters, I simply decided to play a few games of unranked. After some frustrating matches against reapers and other dragonhunters, I decided to just complete my daily in Hotjoin and be done with it. I join hotjoin and instantly see 6 warriors in a single match, all seem to be competant and have skill, are level 80 judging by the flare of their armor, and playing in Hotjoin.

This is what it’s become. Warriors queue hotjoin to get their PvP daily win.

I think I know what happened to warriors.

Anet brought lore stuff to pvp.

Just found out that a pve NPC named Rytlock was a warrior pre-HoT and became a revenant on expac. Maybe they intended for warriors to reroll to revenant.

I don’t think there was ever a time in GW2 pvp history where guardians could easily beat warriors 1v1 until this expac. Even when guard burns were buffed pre-expac they couldn’t beat warriors. Same for dps guards pre-expac.

Bunker guards are no longer a thing but at least they have DH and burn build

It’s too hard to stack adrenaline on Berserker only to have it disappear when you ooc/reset. It’s like playing a Reaper that needs to build shroud at every engagement, and when it does get full, it only lasts 15 seconds. The burst damage could be toned down or up depending on the goal. Also too many okay traits rely on being cc’d to proc which does happen a lot but too many times to be effective , none of which will help when the cc exceeds the number of traits and utilities you have in stock. It needs a rework on core mechanics.

For bruisers, we lack sustain and guaranteed ways to do damage in the evade meta.

For support, you just bring bunker ele or cele ranger. They ll fit the role better.

Berserk by itself, is nothing new, no new mechanics, nothing, just the same game play with some orange glow.

And apart of that, everything about warrior is the same, just broken because of 3 years of regular nerfing.

What really worries me is how Anet decided to not make any change whatsoever before the start of proleague.

Which leads me to think they believe the class is balanced as it is.

And if that’s the case, Warrior will be a dead class for a long, long time.

What I loved about warriors is how straight forward their mechanics were. It certainly was not a low skill cap class. It took time to master landing your blows and you could always tell the beginners from the veterans by how consistent they delivered attacks.

It brings me discomfort seeing how warriors fall to DH 1v1 of equal skill level.

Sigh…shoutbows were my favorite allies back in the day.

It seems like ANet is trying to make warriors the heavy CC linebacker, similar to the Hambow in days past. However, since hambow was nerfed, shoutbow was the only thing to keep warrior afloat, which was much more of a boon stacking, condi cleansing, guardian-wannabe. I’m not saying it wasn’t a fun spec, but it wasn’t really in the flavor of what ANet seems to be pushing towards.

Right now, berserker seems to be more in line with a glass cannon role, which doesn’t seem to fit anywhere in a meta where a celestial/soldier’s bruiser will just soak up the burst and then melt the glass cannon.

Rage skills, similar to Physical Skills have a lot of potential, but their problem is a lot like venoms on thieves in that they take up valuable utility spots that are needed for defense and stunbreak skills.

Tl;dr There needs to be either some integration of defense/stunbreak/utility with heavy CC utilities for warriors to fit back into a hambow role or the entire meta will need to shift away from where most glass cannons are just hard countered by celestial/soldiers bruisers.

Problem is that warriors are built to prolong combat, as they are described in the wiki/game description. However Anet tried to make them bursters. So to be able to become a good burst class, you need to spend your utility slots for dmg/adrenaline etc. Which means you lack defense. And remember, warriors lack guardians innate defense “f” skills or ranger’s pet help, or engineer’s toolbelt, or necro’s lifebar… you get the point.

In the current meta, conditions are powerful. There are zillions of blocks/invuls, insane bursts and precious gap closer/ escape skills. Warrior lacks most of these. At best his skills have a long cd. His mobility is weak, to be able to move he has to spend his sword skills (and that is dangerous if you meet your enemy at that instant).

For my opinion, this meta is not that badly balanced. There will be problems with reapers and heralds but people are learning now. There are only two “huge” problems that I see;

1- Core classes are too weak to compete. Elite’s can even the field easily if there is a small skill gap only. And if the skill cap is same, elite’s have the advantage.

2- Warriors are not designed, at core, for the current meta and elite system. Without blinklike skills, or combined staibility+condi cleanse/protection skills, warriors will be burned with the amount of cc this meta has. They might not need a big buff, but they definitely need a huge rework.

ps: and also gs 3 has an annoying bug (still not fixed).

Run condi and you’ll do awesome.

Warriors are also a best-in-slot choice for raid groups due to PS and even after you have 2 PS, a condi war on top works great.

Can’t really agree with any of that. Warrior was only viable because of how strong they were in rampage form. Rampage form was a terrible crutch, which was why the class crumbled after the nerf.

This is an interesting statement. I always thought thief is the only balanced class as of July patch and everything else shot way past the balance point. I have to try warrior/berserker in pvp now it seems.

I play both thief and warrior (unfortunately with current meta) and I feel the reason why they are the most balanced is they actually have to land hits to get benefits. If you miss, you’re ef’ed. Cloak and Dagger miss? You don’t get stealthed. Miss with Evis? Lose all adren (or any burst skills).

Would be interesting if Rev’s sword 3 skill failed to hit it’s initial hit, it fails to evade or cancels the skill. Reaper was updated in beta to gain more LF for AAing if I’m not mistaking? It’s a high burst shroud; let them starve themselves if they want to spam their Reaper skills. And so-on.

There was a Mesmer in PvP and I stated that the blind spam really isn’t needed due to their stealth, invulns, teles, etc. Their reply was “it fits my play-style so I like it”. I’m sure if Warrior had blind spam, people would be all ranting. People still think Healing Sig is “OP”, lawl.
