[merged] Warrior's New Meta Unkillable Rematch
Honestly, either of those are better options that Spider Venom, and, in fact, my build happens to run them both.
But SB is tossed aside cuz S/D S/D is apparently better (even Jumper admitted that he needed SB in his own build), and Serpent’s Touch is a part of DA that for some reason most people won’t even touch nowadays.

So, you place energy sigils on both of your weapons, and then you complain when you have too much endurance that you’re having to waste it.
Then, apparently, in order to fix this issue, you have to evade 30 feet away from your opponent, when you could’ve combo’d your evade with Slice and done more damage overall while still fulfilling your trait requirements.

You said it, the match up is in favor of the thief.
You need to SCREW UP in order to lose ( or the war opponent needs to seriously outplay you), otherwise you’ll win: there’s a chance you might lose, but it’s minimal.
That’s not the case again stun warriors: you need to be almost exclusively in shortbow in order to win or have your Shadow return out of LoS( and it will take you LOOOONG time), otherwise after the second skull crack you’re going to go down like a fly.
It’s all about lucky dodges since skull crack is istant, and the war has so many stuns you can even FAKE them and force your opponent to dodge and hit skull crack right after.
The best build doesn’t even run gs, gs is decent right now simply for its mobility ( dunno why people don’t ttry merciless hammer, since it deals lot more dps than 100 blades and you can even chain stuns right after, but whatever).

Maybe if we account a standard environment, with the standard 20-20-0-0-30 build. Since we’re talking of a GS-cleansing ire build and a STUNNED player,thanks to merciless hammer it will deal 25% more damage.
BY DEFAULT a simple hammer AA chain will outdamage 100blades if you keep attacking for all 100 blades duration and you can easily compare the damage: 100blades is a 3,5 sec channeling dealing, in my build, 4800 blank damage, while hammer AA will deal, in the same time, 5600 blank damage.
This without accounting, of course, GS traits ( which i don’t have) and merciless hammer neither.
In a GS-cleansing ire build, you’ll only get might with every crit, something that could add up to 10% increased damage overall.
With merciless hammer, you gain, on top of a stronger DPS, 25% more damage against unactive foes.
This without account that 100 blades most damaging attack is the last one, which won’t always connect ( according to your opponent stunbreaker).
This without accounting you can easily stop the AA chain with you hammer and going stunlock with backbreaker, staggering blow and earthsacker ( which deals by itself 5-6k crits if your foe is disabled, which again, will 100% occur).

This video literally made me cringe to watch it. You do nothing but spam 3 and dodge the entire time. It’s the most mind-numbingly idiotic play-style that has ever graced this game, and the day it is removed will be a good day for everyone, INCLUDING thieves.
BY DEFAULT a simple hammer AA chain will outdamage 100blades if you keep attacking for all 100 blades duration and you can easily compare the damage: 100blades is a 3,5 sec channeling dealing, in my build, 4800 blank damage, while hammer AA will deal, in the same time, 5600 blank damage.
I am not sure if you are joking or if somebody is feeding you bullkitten. Simple AA chain from hammer deals the same DPS as GS AA chain (takes you 30 seconds to test it and it will open your eyes). A full 100 blades deals 50% more damage than a AA hammer chain during the stun and that’s with Merciless Hammer in a 30 defense build.
This without account that 100 blades most damaging attack is the last one, which won’t always connect ( according to your opponent stunbreaker).
100 blades’ last attack simply deals twice the damage of the other 8 hits. A simple stun break at any point will hurt hammer AA much more dps-wise, because it is a slower weapon and thus each individual hit will make up a greater portion of your total damage.
This without accounting you can easily stop the AA chain with you hammer and going stunlock with backbreaker, staggering blow and earthsacker ( which deals by itself 5-6k crits if your foe is disabled, which again, will 100% occur).
If you deal 5-6k with Earthshaker without Merciless, you will deal 20-24k 100 blades. Skull Crack deals more damage than Earthshaker btw, just to give you a point of reference.

Against a high toughness target….2.5k is pretty kitten good. Thief backstab on a spirit ranger caps at like 4k at best and requires far more setup than a spammable #3 skill and an auto chain that hits nearly as hard as that same skill 3 in the end part of the chain and applies weakness to boot.
That same thief on a sub 1500 toughness target crits easily for 3k per larcenous strike or more.

Yep, both those builds, the thief spamming 3 and the warrior lolwut regen are out of line tbh. both of them. IMO.
But then, maybe we are seeing a new kind of bunker ? bunker guardians can do the same, the difference is that their health will be at 10% and then with some CDs, back to 90~100%.
Theres also a ranger build that some ppl are using with prot + regen + TU which is very annoying.
GuildWars2 being a “team” game, these warriors could provide some srs CC to a team fight and some very good regen with that build, Insta rezzes with their elite, new warrior meta, just like thieves, spam 3 or D/P, warrior is stun lock or bullkitten regen.
nerf spirits, nerf aoe, nerf ai, etc. pvp is broken atm ..
Ranger and guardian bunker are doing nowhere near the damage of the warrior or s/d thief.
Especially guardian and ele bunkers don’t come close to the damage warrior puts out for being so survivable.
Don’t even compare guardian to warrior. Guardian only survives and controls the point. He doesn’t kill anything, let alone threaten it.
The problem is guardian is hard to play correctly… this looks like another spirit ranger; lets give someone 10000 passives and watch him go!
Guardian bunker is not hard, please.
Good mesmer is hard. Even a good ele and even d/p non-perma stealth thief. DPS guardian is hard.
Engineer is by far among the hardest to play well.
Still more management then passive play with dodges added in..

Oh, Give them 800 health regen with minimal investment, and the most broken high cd stances that make them 1v1 gods and temporary immune, but still doesn’t fix them in team fights because the broken 40-50 sec cd godly stances that break them in 1v1 will not be available in many of the teamfights.
Instead of giving them slightly more condi removal more often, they give them 8-10 seconds of condition immunity, 4 seconds of damage immunity, and 8 seconds of stability alongside the brokenness of signet of rage+ lyssa for an unpeelable damage monster.
Everybody should have known that with the damage they do warriors could not possibly have high uptime on targets, but it happened anyways and now you see things melt because there’s no way the other classes were balanced to survive eating a hundred blades or an eviscerate on top of the constant high damage autoattacks of the warrior who’s now regening 800 health per sec and has not only shield stance bur berserker stance and endure pain to wait out the second skull crack into hundred blades.

Just nerf brainless play (Such as rangers, indefinite/uncountable evade frames, defensive mechanics in general such as vigor and protection) just to indirectly improve high skill cap things such as counting frames to be honest. I would not mind if Warriors had ZERO stun breaks at this point because stances are supposed to be used aggressively anyways.
No one would be playing easy mode specs such as triple stance and Mace if it wasn’t three stun breaks with evade on GS. Only reason why that builds working is cause its forgiving due to how triple stance and defense tree = 4 stun breaks. Focus fire kinda doesn’t do much against things like these because BAD PLAY IS FORGIVEN in GW2.

All i see in this video is a thief spamming 3 for auto evade/dps. Besides this is not a 1v1 game and those warriors are mostly good for countering spirit rangers and necros. As soon as Anet changes those 2 builds you will see the warriors less often.

Do you honestly believe that a Cleric amulet and a completely defensive build can be considered “minimal investment”? (Because I really hope you know that you have to run 30 in Tactics and 30 in Defense to get to that number). But that’s not all, you will have to run two mediocre utilities for that as well as a heal that you can never activate.

Get off it, elementalists need to spec water and arcana but nobody called that a huge sacrifice when the valkyrie elementalists were running around and people were crying.

Outhealing damage is a problem in this game over all Rangers are worse.
these warriors are really strong 1v1 but they are easy to just avoid they can chase you for days but they’ll never really kill you, and if your solo on point you can still get a cap from outplaying them… if your anything other than a dagger thief.
Team fights in this meta are a joke anyways and talked about to death so I’m not even gonna comment in regaurds to that -_-

You obviously need to learn to play. You’re mindlesly dodging and spaming 3 all day long. On top of that you’re always standing in burning field he puts down and you don’t stun break his sword burst (which can be escaped either with skill 2 return or shadow step) which bleeds alot.

Oh, Give them 800 health regen with minimal investment, and the most broken high cd stances that make them 1v1 gods and temporary immune, but still doesn’t fix them in team fights because the broken 40-50 sec cd godly stances that break them in 1v1 will not be available in many of the teamfights.
Instead of giving them slightly more condi removal more often, they give them 8-10 seconds of condition immunity, 4 seconds of damage immunity, and 8 seconds of stability alongside the brokenness of signet of rage+ lyssa for an unpeelable damage monster.
Everybody should have known that with the damage they do warriors could not possibly have high uptime on targets, but it happened anyways and now you see things melt because there’s no way the other classes were balanced to survive eating a hundred blades or an eviscerate on top of the constant high damage autoattacks of the warrior who’s now regening 800 health per sec and has not only shield stance bur berserker stance and endure pain to wait out the second skull crack into hundred blades.
When hyperboles like these are presented, we really have to blame ourselves, the playerbase, for the mess that PvP has become.
800 regen per second comes with minimal investment?
Do you honestly believe that a Cleric amulet and a completely defensive build can be considered “minimal investment”? (Because I really hope you know that you have to run 30 in Tactics and 30 in Defense to get to that number). But that’s not all, you will have to run two mediocre utilities for that as well as a heal that you can never activate.
Seriously guys, the hyperboles need to stop, unless you have more fun playing the forums than playing the game.
Get off it, elementalists need to spec water and arcana but nobody called that a huge sacrifice when the valkyrie elementalists were running around and people were crying.
The regen achieved by a warrior that can still hit 7k 100b is just dumb.
Im having some fun now, with mine warr 0/20/20/0/30.. 800hp regen each sec, with full adraline.
100b that can hit for 16k.. Full beserker,, fighting at mid with the gaurd gives more regen. mace/shield for the stuns.. Anyways you dont need valkrie for 800 regen im just playing with beserker scholar and 0 in tacticts/
You obviously need to learn to play. You’re mindlesly dodging and spaming 3 all day long. On top of that you’re always standing in burning field he puts down and you don’t stun break his sword burst (which can be escaped either with skill 2 return or shadow step) which bleeds alot.
There’s alot of room to improve your play.
Yeah L2P. People can try to survive and dodge and whatnot but what good is that when the warrior stays at 90-100% after every burst combo you have? Become a training dummy for the warrior? It’s an attrition build akittens finest. Necros can go back living under a rock. Rangers can do better than this.
But as any other form of condi-type of builds dominating the meta right now, their common denominator is that they can survive a whole ordeal and deal tremendous damage consistently at the same time. Sorry, but you can’t have the best of both worlds. If you do, then clearly something is broken.
