rifle need a bit more buff
I’ve got a suggestion for killshot.
they wanted killshot to be a powerful long range move to finish off fleeing enemies, so lets focus on turning that into its strength.
Killshot -cast time 1 sec – aim a quick shot that deals more damage the greater your adrenaline. Does 50% more damage if hitting from behind. 1500 range.
cast time reduction is so you actually have a chance to hit them before they go out of range. Backstab mechanic so it will actually kill fleeing enemies. Granted you may need to tweak base numbers a bit so it doesnt become two overpowered.
also the aftercasts or the precasts on the rifle need adjusting, it feels clunky to me still. The axe, sword, hammer, greatsword all feel great but the rifle feels stiff and unresponsive.
The rifle skill volley needs work. It says a cast time of 2 3/4 of a second. I count closer to 3 1/2 seconds.
lastly I feel like the rifle projectile velocity needs to be increased. The trade off on the rifle and bow is that the bow can actually shoot a little further then its listed range. It can also arc over cover a bit. The rifle however stops like it hit an invisible wall at 1200 and shoots straight so it cant be used to fire over cover. Its only advantage is it is much faster. With recent changes both to the ranger and globally this advantage has largely disappeared.
Rifle needs a whole lot of work. I don’t understand why they removed the bleeds fro the AA when the rifle traits are still in the precision/condi line. At least with the bleeds we could spec for Attacks of Opportunity and get an extra 10%.
I like Fiorrello’s idea for Kill Shot. It would work awesome with fear me.

Hitting them in the back might be a bit too tricky to pull off on a ranged weapon. I’d say make it so that it deals 50% more damage to a moving foe (similar to the Bandit Riflemen in CM), so if you don’t have a well-timed dodge or block, your choices are either sitting there and eating the Kill Shot, or try to run and potentially take even more damage.
I’d also like to see Volley get a bit of a buff, maybe getting the stacks of Bleeding that used to be on the autoattack.
