Since the jumping puzzles provide siege equipment which can be used to a server’s advantage in WvW, getting it for your server and preventing others from getting it by setting up siege can be akin to setting up siege in a supply camp to get supplies for your side and deny them to the other side. It is quite valid strategy and in no way ‘trolling’.

Isaac. What I’m trying to say is that we getting siege for our guild. It event we do every week. No offence but when we do it we lock it down for an hour or more so every person can run they low level alt

As a guardian who always rushes in, I keep running into the invisible zergs when it’s too late. If they are really fixing it, I am going to be one happy dude!

Culling will be addressed next patch, bug whether that fixes this problem is hard to say.

I’m actually pretty surprised at how ontopic and non-rage filled this thread has been.

I have the privilege of fighting with GODS and doing my part in one of the spec ops group. I also had the privilege of standing behind a wall waiting to ambush some ET, while I watched the Ele hold his own against 7 or 8 ET. It was pretty cool to watch. Later I got to run AC with the same ele and he definitely is incredibly skilled and knows his class very well.

Also just wanted to I’m enjoying this match up a lot, regardless of night-capping or whatever people want to complain about. All I know is during our peak times and when the GODS are out, it’s a tremendously fun match up.

when the 5 or 6 of us rolled in there we had no idea how many of you were there at Godsword. I expected to not find any ET on the map hardly, glad i was wrong. Made for some good fighting. I’m glad to see ET still fielding a good force nightly if even in just that one borderland.

It’s always fun to have numbers on your side I guess. There are a lot of other guilds on FA that have been great and haven’t given up, hopefully we can work on our participation as a whole over the next few days. Also what’s up with the whole no signature thing, if you’re going to gloat about destroying the other server at least post your name and guild.

I must say that FA numbers have greatly increased since last night, and today, we seem outnumbered at many places. Well, it looks like an already good fight is going to get better.

I am yet to encounter those D/D ele’s, I have always had a D/D build on sPvP, but was afraid to try it in WvW, but I suppose it works afterall if you can afford it.

I think last night at godsword and other battles in ET BL proved that we in ET shouldn’t be underestimated. Even though we don’t have presence everywhere, in the areas we do, we work pretty well as a team. The lower numbers seems to actually help us in communication so that there isn’t much breakdown in the chain of command. We do fairly well outnumbered until when one of the servers get pushed off our map and it becomes a 1v1 and outnumbered 3:1 where we get hit everywhere.

Whoa, D/D eles getting popular? I’ve been playing D/D ele several times in WvW, only once against FA and ET due to exams and whatnot (I’m from Yak’s Bend). Using a very similar build as well o.o glad to see eles showing up As soon as I have time to update some equips I’ve been looking for (I get the feeling those stats are from karma merchants or something), I will be joining my server more on the battlefield!

From posts elsewhere it sounds like FA may have picked up a decent sized Japanese guild and may also soon be getting an even bigger Euro guild. This match is only half way through and not won by any means, so if we, YB, slacken off, we could face a repeat of the second SoR match.

Seems like there was a surge from FA and they have capped most of the EB. A big Yaks zerg just showed up, so we’ll see if they can push it back.

I’m quite saddened that ET has fallen so hard. It literally was a good server until several of the guilds there felt the need to run solo and not work with anyone not in their guild. This is always a death note for a server, as proven by ET. Not rubbing your nose in it, but I did tell you what a bad idea it was before leaving. Sad to see that FOE running around solo isn’t working anymore.

Made a big push “overnight” during my timezone. Once we finished pushing Yak’s out of our borderlands, we moved to EB and pushed them all the way to their keep. I then moved back to FA BL with a 10 man team freeing up anyone else to do work in the other maps and we upgraded everything. Disappointed to see it lost during NA prime time. I don’t normally play during this time slot but I was able to see that FA prime time is not as strong as some FA would suggest and has a lot of room for improvement. I also think we need to utilise possession of SMC better to our advantage and learn the value of supply.

It is also a shame we still can’t get queues when we held a +415 PPT in WvW and we obviously need to work on our overall participation and server pride. I saw FA get outplayed today and I take my hat off to the Yaks guilds that hit us relentlessly, hard and fast in FA borderlands.

Shout out to PTX, EE and of course PRO who really brought on the pain when I needed them most while unfortunately some other leaders didn’t respond to our calls at all while we were breached at 2 fully upgraded keeps simultaneously. Shout out to all those crazy insomniacs from NA who stayed up with the small “night crew” to get us where we did you guys should be proud to get a +415 PPT. I need some sleep.

I was their for your initial push and you guys did good. Fortunately when pushed Yaks pushes back. This gives our players heart when we are outnumbered knowing help will be coming.

Hats off to Commanders again as yet more good (not yet great) organisation.

We had a great time last night fighting in FA BL. Taking on those fully upgraded keeps (SH and DB) was a real challenge. I think we spent almost 2 hours attacking SH before finally taking it. That treb you had set up outside the lord’s room played havoc with our plans.

We weren’t able to take DB as the defence there was so strong. If we’d had another hour or so we may have had it but by that time it was really late (Oceanic players).

I also saw FA took SMC very briefly last night, which is the first time we’ve taken it during Oceanic hours. It looks like our new transfers from Japan and the EU are already having an impact.

FA actually did pretty well during the day, and had all of their map and most of EB and a smattering of others. Then toward the afternoon it started to ebb off. I was there for a lot of the day, and fought in a lot of the battles.

Awesome fights in Yak’s BL tonight. Constant fighting everywhere forever, and I couldn’t have been happier. I even caught sight of some ET back-capping our supplies while we were trying to take the Bay, those sneaky devils.

I have no idea who was out there, but thanks for the fun.

You guys gave us a very good fight today, but our server got momentum and made a big comeback after my guild hit your most upgraded keep in your borderland.

Well, at least you got the numbers now after all these WvW guilds transfered to you…And btw dont be under the illusion that Yaks gets queue’s on borderlands, the only one we ever do on is our borderland, occasionally. We are more often than not out numbered in EB for some reason. We’re just fast when we pick up momentum. But I guess this weeks isn’t over considering the massive increasing in FA’s population.

We haven’t had any “massive population increasing” transfers this week at all other than a Japanese guild that I have yet to see in WvW. Through the daytime it was just the same bunch it has always been. Let’s not pretend you’re “more often that not” outmanned in EB, that’s just not true. We have equal peak forces, you carry more overnight unless we can secure a decent PPT as a small group on one map and attract PvE people to play. That’s what happened and will continue to happen.

Don’t be under the illusion FA has ever had a queue on any map in any matchup since the first hours of a matchup reset. Yes, this week isn’t over but in regards to the scoreboard it is an extremely unlikely uphill battle. We’re still going to be wreaking havoc where we can.

I swear these Yak’s are probably the biggest pain the kitten to kill. Everytime you down one 4+ run up and start healing while a mesmer does that thing that blocks projectiles.

I dont think its as Mada thinks and it is just morale some new guild tags out there in large numbers. I say again you have cracked it and grown your server well done. Expect us to fight with all we can muster and make you earn it.

I think a large part of it might be that there’s no school today in the US, so a lot of people who would be in class right now are online.

I was on yesterday in Yak’s borderland around 9pm EST and the battles that took place at the Bay Keep were pretty amazing. The instant wall being back up as we rushed into lord room was hilarious as some of us couldn’t get in and it split our attacking force. Shout out to ULTD and BT for organizing a lot of the action and HOPE for switching between Hills and Bay to help out the cause.

I dont know what map you were playing on but yaks certainly did not put up a good fight tonight. I spent about 4 hours in WvW and after yaks lost out in a couple of decisive battles early we spent the next 3 hours recapturing empty maps as the yak zerg kept transferring to the next borderlands as soon as we showed up to defend.

At one point after I noticed briar had been captured on our home borderlands, I went to check it out and sure enough I found a yak zerg pvdooring bays. I went to EB and told everyone, we had some people transfer to our borderlands while some stayed to capture the rest of EB before coming to help. By the time I got back bays was gone and yaks were starting on sunny and the garrison (with golems) at the same time. We were still out manned so we went to defend crag, we managed to get rid of the outmanned buff and defended crag, while we were cleaning up crag yaks rushed through the last keep and only a couple people made it in time to see a big zerg go into the lord room. By now our EB friends had arrived, we went to crag expecting yaks to show up since it was our last tower…. nope 5 minutes after the outmanned buff went off yaks were now outmanned.

its disappointing that we finally get enough people to show up in offpeak to actually fight and we spend the entire time chasing a giant yak zerg around 4 different maps.

We’ve made no secret that we’ve had a new Japanese guild join us. I also saw one of the EU commanders on earlier today and said hi to him but other than him I haven’t seen any others.

Right now from what I’ve seen our Oceanic numbers are about the same.

FA’s score in Oceanic time is mostly because the PRO guild has been jumping between maps very quickly and capping stuff. The TOG guild can probably confirm this as we ran into them on YB BL, followed by ET BL, then FA BL. They were doing a very similar strategy to us and SMC even swapped hands from YB->FA->YB->FA in about 2 hours (although PRO guild was focused more on capturing other Yak stuff to help give relief to our team fighting at SMC).

We just happened to end with more stuff because they all left before we did (around midnight Australian time).

I gotta say I’ve never seen anyone camp their own jumping puzzle before.

Especially while they lose everything on their BL.

Considering FA drops to double digit PPT every night in a T5 match, I’d say FA has a much lower Oceanic presence than Yaks does. However, these recent change of events should make this matchup slightly more interesting than it was.

PS: [JPN], whilst being a Japanese guild as well, has been on FA for quite a long time.

No school? I wish.

As it is, we in college are going in to classes as per regular, so I don’t think this is true.

It is election day, but at least in Florida the schools are not closed and people have to still go to work for the most part.

Where I live all the local elementary/middle/high schools are closed for today (most are being used as a polling place)

At the university classes “technically” are still going on but most professors cancelled class for the day.

I don’t think everybody hate us, some do most dislike us probably, we dont go around saying that we are strong or that we deserve or are equal to T2 servers, we recognize when we get beaten and usually are gracious in defeat(sometimes).

We are getting better more organized, we still have gaps in our coverage like most T4 servers(yes we are T4, pvp population wise), if we are in T3 is thanks to our organization mostly.

Anyway i think if people dislike us is because we usually prove other servers flaws, before we started this match it was pointed that FA had superior NA and we would be dominated, which hasn’t happened and we have better oceanic presence and they have better Asian.

I’m not saying that Yaks Prime time is better, is one of their guys.

Yaks were leading by as much as 111k earlier. FA made a 10k gain. Yaks will still win since they are ahead by a lot, but a rematch would be closer. For that to happen though, they’ll have to stay in T3 with CD dropping out of it after the next match.

A rematch would go for FA by a lot, I’ll explain why.

Yaks Bend Oceanic/Asian presence is mostly due to TOG and COCO there’s other guilds but they are the largest at those hours, TOG is capable of fielding about 100 members twice a week, but they usually field about 30 daily COCO is about the same, so in average our oceanic presence is about 100 people give or take 20 in all the maps, which PRO can attest to that.

After TOG logs, PRO is still strong in pvp and now with the 70+ Japanese guild they will be unstoppable at their night time which is about 7+ AM NA, once they leave FA new EU alliance with over 150+ people will take over against 30 or 50 EU players that we have(i counted) in all our maps, coming NA prime time Yaks will find himself in the same situation that FA has done this week.

As a Yaks player is going to be interesting to see if our servers still logs or if is going to be another SoR week, when people just gave up.

I’m not pointing this as a rant against FA or anything , they found their weakness in coverage and they are fixing it(well done), just explaining what’s the most probable outcome of a rematch between these servers after transfers.

The simple fact is that the guys attacking the camp were just clueless, you can kill the thief if you organize. But no one did and it’s their fault, not YB.

In short: not a hax, l2p issue.

It’s a start but I wouldn’t say a 70 member guild japanese guild and a 150 member EU guild is going to be enough to give us decent night coverage.
