For the most part IoJ has remained quiet (minus my 1 drunken banter post) as we’re pretty tied up doing whatever we can.

I’ve been here since beta. IoJ plays for second? Who wouldn’t when you’re getting stomped into the ground by a meta server with 3x the WvW population? For months on end? If you say not I, you’re a liar. DR and IoJ have bumped heads for a few months now, we’ve been up against some pretty beast servers…so I can understand the frustration. We know our strengths. And we do what we can with what we have. Simple as that.

As for the mention of every server having zoombots, I’m in regular contact with every Commander on this server minus 2-3. And there’s quiet a few. If we’re not in WvW together, we at least chat on the sidelines…but I’ve never heard a single player in IoJ even mention using the SAB exploit. And that’s a fact. We’re pretty noble guys and gals, and even through the nonsense…we wouldn’t stoop that low. Especially if we were winning. Just wanted to clear that up.

Whatever happens from here is all on the points scale. I wish you all the best of luck and I’m sure we’ll meet again eventually. It’s been fun to say the least.

If it comes to t7 for IoJ….we’ll probably be even quieter on the forums..lol.

You know, I have been a leader in almost every game I played, and a kitten good one. Because of my health, and the stress involved in leadership, I have taken a backseat this time around. But, as I see it, I would rather deal with that stress than guilt by association to this sort of bullkitten.

Normally, I am pretty laid back, but this sort of thing truly does bother me. Ill do what I can to put a stop to it.

It has been an ongoing issue, as many folks on both side of the fence we can get reporting this kind of nonsense the better.

It’s a game, with all sorts of flaws, but we mean to give you a kitten good fight when we can. This exploit has severely undermined our ability to do that.

Your servers coverage guarantees you the win, using this cheat gains you nothing. Ultimately you are loosing out on valuable experience learning how to counter siege a well fortified structure.

If its DarkHaven’s wish to rise thru the ranks, more DH commanders should rally behind Tuluum now and put a stop to this immediately. Soon enough you will meet a challenge where skill and experience in a situation would of been a hell of a lot more valuable than an exploit.

For the rest of the record, the scenario played out as follows (our POV, of course, which seems like it’s different from your POV):
I duel you. I win. Yay me. But because we’re really cool and because OINK is from my experience cool, you revive, we /bow, /salute, /whatever and mutual respect is reached. Then IoJ shows up. Then DH shows up. Fighting ensues and IoJ dies. DH remaining 3 (4?) follow OINK toward DR spawn from center ruins. SNFU disengages. OINK /w’s that remaining DH are wiped. SNFU decides to go see. SNFU finds OINK dealing with a solo upscaled. Dealing is the incorrect word, but we move on. SNFU reengages. OINK wipes SNFU. SNFU revives and /w’s good fight. OINK gets upset and posts on the forums.

I know you have no problem fighting an upscaled. You don’t have problems fighting more than 2 80s. Now if it’s the jumping without /bowing, I can understand your concern. But c’est la vie when we’re limited to forum posts and emotes.

I still like like fighting you guys, even though I don’t know you. I don’t mind at all that this sort of thing has happened between both guilds in the past, pretty much always having OINK come out on top. Oh well for us. I enjoy the lessons.

Any way it plays out, I look forward to the fights. Maybe even on my somewhat retired main next time.
If you have anything else, I’ll ask you submit a formal report to a SNFU leader of my choosing.

(As for cheating—that kitteny kitten needs to stop. I haven’t ever seen public acknowledgement by anyone of what’s going on and why it’s going on, but like Tuluum, if I see or hear of it it gets reported. DH has seen too much kitten to deal with people tarnishing our reputation for a few extra digipoints or digilootz.)

I had a thief from SNFU jump me while in a close 1v1 a few times. And, that is fine. Just don’t expect any consideration when the situation is reversed. /shrug

Actually Oozo, DR had a treb at the spawn, trying to take back your keep in EB, so we were trying to get to it. Or are we just supposed to let that go too?

I was in DH on my guardian following Darkwolvess flipping camps. We had decided to try hitting DH instead of IoJ to see if IoJ would get the cue to pound DH. The call came that both IoJ and DH were on our map. IoJ was at Bay, and DH at Hills. We were told to defend Bay first. I switched to my ranger, got to Bay and IoJ was through south outer with a treb up on the wall destroying inner (note there was no arrow cart against the wall destroying inner). Vars had a brilliant holding action on the bridge while we were trying to build a counter treb, but the 2 we built had no range on target. Had that treb been able to range, battle might have been different. IoJ surged into inner, and we fought hard with a sieged up lords room for quite some time before IoJ capped.

Was then told to go to Hills, where SE/DH was in force. Tried coming in through west gate and about got ganked by the DH crew on the other side. Managed to get in via S gate to see SE on outer wall laying down massive fire on our wall. Switched from my ranger to mezmer to help on sorties. Darkest who had been in TS doing homework? came on to lead. Around this time word came in that IoJ was now on Garrison. Command pulled some from Hills to defend Garrison, and we had to just hold for time for the Garrison crew to fight off IoJ. First portal bomb we did was countered by SE with a portal back at our gate entrance, and we got nailed hard. Second effort we did better getting up wall further. 3rd effort involving ballista was going well when DH broke through gate. We went into lords and watched SE portal bomb into massed siege fire..it was a bloody mess for DH. We pushed out and won the keep.

Overall I thought we did a really good job holding off the combined attacks of IoJ/DH. Wonder how DH would fare under a similar assault? Probably will not know because DR is pretty mad at IoJ now. Not sure why IoJ wants to squabble over 2nd or 3rd place when they could instead go for 1st or 2nd by attacking DH.

Just putting in a formal apology for getting swindlered today, I truly am sorry.

I want to say sorry to swindler too, we found you out side southwest garrison fighting some DR, you retreated out due to our numbers, one of your dudes got caught and as Jezri put it, zombied to death. Then some pug laughed, letting you know that it wasn’t anyone of us, just some DR pug.

Hmm I wonder what Commander it is. I only ever see the same 5-10 commanders on when I play WvW (late evenings during the week, EST). I’d try to help watch if I knew who it was.

I don’t know what to do when we run into snfu people. Half the time no one adds half the time it all adds.

Sometimes we get aj’d and say, OK no special treatment. Then we add on someone who probably had nothing to do with it and so the cycle continues. Its how like half the drama in daoc started so let’s keep with tradition I suppose.

I’d just like to say, DH and DR. Last night was the most fun WvW had been in a while for me. IoJ had enough numbers that night to actually be able to compete with you guys. DR you had some great defensive tactics being able to fight off our zerg at garrison while holding off DH’s at hills. None of the three servers were outmanned and it truly was a battle that could only have been won through tactics. So once again, give yourselves a pat on the back DR for awesome defense; I really wish it could be like this every night. /salute

Another day of the week! – But not just any day; the weekly Fight Club is today and everyone is welcome!

Location – Devona’s Rest Borderlands, under Champion’s Demense camp
Time – 8 PM EST (which is after DAILY reset). If you need a conversion to your time, please whisper me before-hand

Standard Tips/Rules:
- /bow before each duel
- Whomever you want to fight, get their attention first! (examples – /point, /beckon, etc)
- Anyone who interrupts a duel should be warned, if they continue interrupting, down them and tell them again. Be mindful of finishing a player; it is unnecessary.
- If you would like to have team duels, 2v2 or more, the duel starts when every attender in the team duel /bow first. The duel ends when the last person is downed (the previous team duelers must be finished first and may not be resurrected until the last teammate is downed).
- Fight Club is about practicing against other players and friendship between servers, hatred between servers will not be tolerated and should not be respected. We’re all here to have a relaxing time, hopefully.

I will be mentioning guilds from different borderlands to try to come to have a pre-planned Fight Club so it isn’t empty!

DH, IoJ, and DR are proudly welcome to join, last week we had a turnout of 50-60 players come to participate, the week before; 40-50 players, let’s make it 70 this time!

If there are any questions that are needed to be answered, please contact me before Fight Club, I will try to clear anything that is misunderstood.

Its like a friendly sports game, where someone else comes in and ruins it with cheap shots. They are not welcome unless they can play along respectfully.

I would be lying if I said I wasnt hesitant to really follow through with taking more of a leadership role. My intent was to put a stop to the zoom/SAB exploit nonsense, but I think there is a larger life lesson for me in this. Its so interesting how the universe works sometimes..

I think we can definitely put a stop to this, but it will require us to work together. Its not a matter of one person giving orders, but of enabling all of us on our server to bring what we can to the table and help each other learn and grow. It limits us when we have those who choose to take the easy and cheap way. We are better than that, and in the long run, it will do nothing but limit our ability to grow and advance as a team.

Now, the only thing left to do is carry through with it.

I will try to make it to the fight club. I am interested to see how I stack up. I just completely re-did my build and it would be a trial by fire, of sorts. Hopefully I can pull off at least one win! I have seen my Maul hitting for 5k+, and I like dem numbers!

To everyone else (including you Gab), I know I make jabs, and even outright troll sometimes.. but its all in good fun. Dont take it too seriously! I think it should be clear, even through the limitations of text, when I actually get serious about something.

Hopefully you didn’t just start that argument back up Myro. It seemed to have calmed down for a bit.
(Btw, this is one of our better commanders, IMO. I’ve been in his zerg several times, and we have managed to either beat larger zergs or at least mostly escape from them, at least a couple times anyways.)

Well it looks like reading comprehension eludes many on this board, so I will restate my points to Myyo in a way you can hopefully understand

1. If you have enough numbers, you can bypass the siege aspect of the game, and just bang on the door. This dumbs down the game, making it boring.
2. If you have enough numbers, no amount of siege, tactics or strategy can hold them off as they keep coming. Pork Chop Hill example was there to drive home what it is like to get rolled by numbers.
3. If you exploit the zoom bug as some on this tier do, you reduce the fortification advantage to almost nothing and victory goes to pure numbers.
4. If you outnumber your opponent, you can start a 2 front war where they only have enough to defend 1 front and you win purely upon numbers.
5. When you have enough numbers, it tends to just degenerate into mob play, with everyone just following everyone else, and no real complexity to the game.
6. A single person killing 2 people of the 10 man group that rolls him gets the same WXP as that 10 man group gets rolling 2 people. This means that people with less skill get rewarded by this game for zerging.

Anyone can take a screenshot of times when they are outnumbered. There are plenty of times when our forces have prevailed against numbers. What gets tiring though is facing the same boring opponent strategy of flooding a zone with numbers until you lose by attrition.

Myro Pyro, I am assuming that you might have been skimming this thread and ran across the word ‘numbers’ then posted without reading any of the reasoned arguments we took time to post. Or perhaps you read them, and did not understand. Or perhaps you like to pick at scabs and see what happens. Regardless I am going to take your post as a plea for education.

First consider pvdoor. If you get your DH brother, and his inbred cousins twice removed, and all of the grand and great grand incestuous spawn that seems to dwell on your server and give them the mighty instruction “Autoattack the door!”, if you round up enough of this refuse the door will indeed go down. You need not take a supply camp. You need not build a ram. You just need lots and lots of numbers. There is not much of a learning curve for you as a commander to do this. There is no strategy, you just round up numbers, and have them pound door, like Hulk.

Now for some strange reason, Anet added supply and siege to this game. Perhaps if you think on that a while, you might figure it out. Why do they have that stuff there, when such a brilliant strategy of auto attacking the door exists?

First of all, Myro is one of the commanders that likes (I’m assuming he/she likes to, not feeling that he/she has to) to drop siege stuff down and have people use it. Only time (that I can remember) we didn’t was right before reset last week when we somehow either had a bug that wouldn’t let any of us drop siege (of any kind) or we were somehow maxed out on our seige.

Or maybe you need to stop whining, grow up, and drop the feigned sense of honor. Your group dynamic is such you can deal with it (and you did). You weren’t 1v1ing anyone. You were jumping people in your roaming duo, which is fine by me. But don’t be surprised when you get jumped sometimes too. I didn’t target you because you were already engaged. I targeted you because you were there and enjoy fighting people of high(er) skill level. This is WvW. Things happen.

I run with Myro quite a bit, and I have honestly never seen him go for a door without at LEAST 2 rams. We are usually told to not AoE the door actually.

Myro is a great commander, and we have a TON of fun running around with him, everyone does. If you see a HUGE zerg, you can bet that it’s Myro, because he has a pretty large following.

Feel bad for the people on my server who spend money upgrading everything just so it can be lost to PvDoor, oh well.

I know that a majority of DH are not cheaters/hackers/exploiters but this AC exploit is really getting out of hand. You had a 30+ man zerg+2 golems taking bay and we had 10+ people defending it yet somebody still felt the need to use AC exploit.

it’s not a feigned sense of honor, it’s just mutual respect (or lack-thereof in your case,) it’s what separates me from you. We didn’t jump you when we saw you, even though I wanted to because you’re nothing but a mindless tab targetting zombie who deserves no better. How am I repaid? By your attempted vulturing, makes sense now, knowing you have no concept of anything other than red=dead.
