Every server has zergs as well as small groups doing their own thing. No one server is a beautiful and unique snowflake in that regard.

T1 thread was a lot less toxic without BG, yet they seem to think they are the poor innocents being bullied? =D

I find it funny to read people from SoR saying they expect BG to implode, I read that a page back or so. Do you guys think just because the Gaiscioch Family took their time to create the Tuatha Alliance, that your community is strong enough to sit in third place? Wait my bad, yea it is, you guys will sit there forever and ever while BG and JQ beat down on you.

Point is, you guys took a bunch of server transfer, we all did, it would be stupid to point that out as a flaw in a server because it isn’t a flaw it’s a positive reinforcement to anyone receiving it, and even mentioning that shows jealousy that you didn’t receive the transfers into Tuatha, you don’t see us crying wolf.

My point is BG is just as strong, even though we don’t have GSCH as our glue, we have committed guilds and leaders and players. We dropped into T2 and became a wall that kaineng could not pass, and they sky rocketed from tier 6. Now if SoR was in Tier 2 at the time there is no way you’d have been that same stopping point for them, and they might have taken transfers from SoS instead and rocketed up into tier 1, leaving SoR behind in t2. could have, would have, didn’t, doesn’t matter any more. What we do have though is a stalemate, and unless everybody wants to watch JQ sit @ #1 for a really long time we have to do something about it.

The way I see it is if there should be any 2v1 happening, it should be the other 2 servers in Tier 1 beating up the big dog and taking him off his high seat, why?
Well let me tell you why, because they are #1 and we would be doing them a favor to rid them of their ego a little, call it spiritual enlightenment or something.

Kitten please, T1 threads always end up trainwrecks in the end. New servers bubble up to Tier 1, think they have a good chance to win, then figure out by Monday of week 2 that they only get close when JQ decides to coast. Then in week 2 the infighting starts because it’s always the fault of another server blah blah blah. Whaaaa… we tried stacking but it wasn’t enough against this other server that stacks… blah blah blah. Like clockwork.

Your reading comprehension appears lacking, when was it I said where my thoughts of good PvP were. I will tell you where PvP is not and it’s in 70 man vs 15 man or Ballista vs Player, Golem vs Door.

I’m a glory rank 36 by the way and what was your glory rank again considering this is where PvP resides outside 15-20 man groups. Are you calling WvWvW in its current state PvP?

I know it’s asking alot, considering your post history…and my interaction with you, but if you could review the last couple of pages objectively, you’d see exactly what i’m talking about. Your argument is fundamentally flawed, because you’re Human. Maybe you’re too young, but i’ll let you in on a little secret; Your perception is influenced by your point-of-view. I know, shocking. Because you’re a player on Black Gate, all you ever see are red names from both JQ and SoR…and sometimes you see them at the same time and they seem to be focusing on you. The fact is, they may very well be. What you don’t see, is that BG and SoR sometimes seem TO ME to be focusing on JQ. It’s that whole perception and point-of-view thing I was talking about. Of course, I don’t run to the forums and post 2-3 pages worth of QQ that have alot of the players in the OTHER servers pointing and laughing at me. No, I expect this sort of thing in WvW generally and Tier 1 specifically. Of course, I don’t fault you…you are relatively new to Tier 1 after all.

At least swtor pvp took a bit of skill. GW2 is just a zergfest of scrub guilds pretending theyre uber at gaming while hiding behind numbers. Take prx for example, flashing all over their webpage how many wins theyve got like they won it alone as a guild against other guilds when they usually get rolled open field against Choo and the likes on our server. No skill, just numbers and zerging behind walls. Btw did anyone figure out why they give themselves 2 wins per game, and even when they lose the game give themselves a win and a loss? I know people wanna make themselves look good via stats on websites but lol…… makes you wonder how much of their history is also faked.

Here’s an idea. Earn a spot in a small group and avoid zerging like the plague. SWTOR PvP took zero skill dude. Sorry if that was your claim to fame. WvW isn’t supposed to be fair or balanced, as soon as you accept that you’ll have alot more fun. Join a small group, avoid the zerg, roll other small groups, and have fun. OR, log in to the forums and complain that GW2 doesn’t require as much skill as SWTOR.

Glory rank 36 being impressive is debatable. Realistically you can be the worst sPvP’er and gain that rank with time…now if you were say you got to rank 36 in 50 games then I’d be impressed (50 being a made up number as I don’t know the standard for gaining glory, I’m about rank 9 and maybe played ~20 games mostly to test builds)

You’re in a guild that bandwagoned to JQ from BG while BG was in T1 the last time, you know, months ago since BG is so new to T1. So I know exactly what is perception and what types I’m dealing with. Been on Blackgate all along and love to be double teamed, otherwise I wold bandwagon somewhere else for easy mode.

I joined them after they came to JQ, during an impromptu duo with one of their members in WvW. They’re a pretty laid back group from what i’ve seen. Maybe they just wanted the action of Tier 1 or something, from what i’ve seen so far…they seem about as far as a guild can get from joining servers based on PPT or anything on the scoreboard. Perhaps you just made an incorrect judgement on them, based off of a skewed perspective. Not everything is as black and white as you make it out to be.

It seems the replies are the ones having the issues and anxiety, all I said was it will be fun when Kain gets to T1 and gave a reason, next thing I know I have people telling me 70 man zergs find it hard to take keeps.

Are you going to tell me that BG and SoR don’t have a history and that history hasn’t tarnished what could be in T1? Be honest now, I think Kain would add a refreshing change for a week or two, I’ve even stated they should merge no less than 3-4 times to make T1 photo finish top to bottom

All in all, the fights this week have been pretty great in late oceanic/early SEA fighting the HIRE+OCX squad, and FoO+JQ PuGs where early in the week we had some seriously epic fights (especially on monday) with these two. Fighting FoO is always a welcome challenge and opposed to what some forum warriors say, when FoO appears on the map we actively seek them out because we know it’ll be a good fight win or lose.

I do agree that SoR did get double teamed at the end of the matchup, but if you are playing for ppt do you actively bash your head against an enemy for a couple of hours and gain only a few objectives? Or do you target the vulnerable faction, because if we don’t take SoR’s stuff at this window it’ll only just be capped by JQ. Nothing personal.

Also as a FYI, on a normal night we get 30-40 guildees in WvW – we just have good scouts and know where TKG is going to do their inevitable 2 golum rush on south gate of BG hills (please change your tactics, you’re getting predictable)

In my honest opinion, I don’t think there’s anything that BG or SoR could do (in their current incarnations), that would change the inevitable result of these match ups. I’m not saying that to chest thump, just speaking from an honest perspective. Right now JQ is as dominant a server as there has been in GW2. And before you say anything, JQs coverage absolutely factors into that dominance. And yes, i’m aware of the bad blood between BG and SoR. But I don’t think it makes a difference in the overall war.

Btw props to the thief who basically spends his entire night tapping garrison, it has to be boring but hey you’ve gotta admire his persistence. Seriously you guys did 7 golum rushes on the keep on monday, we stopped 6 of them (one of which we got stuck in outer and basically capped it for the next tick) and in 5 of them we took out your golems – you must have a kitten-load right?

The reason many of us say that we want KN in Tier 1 is because the most dominant time for JQ is SEA timezone, that’s when JQ gains most of their points. Other timezones are fairly even right now. It seems FOO likes to focus BG during that period, probably for the better challenge as SoR doesn’t have a lot around at that time.

War Machine will be a balancing factor for FOO and other SEA guilds. If FOO decide to focus BG like they do so often, they will lose a ton of objectives to WM. Just like if we focus JQ, WM will take a ton of stuff from us.

HMMM AS THE creator of Hands OFf My Octopus all I have to say it that we had a few friends on JQ and we came to JQ that way, we weren’t planning to stay just were visiting friends. Anyway we never follow zergs, we like the small fights. If any of you don’t like it pay for our xfers and we will go to your server and take camps and take out the havoc squads, we enjoy the small fights and even larger.
We went to T1 to find more action and to find harder fights, JQ is just where we landed. ANyway hook us up with gold we will all move to your server!

Hey, I know you guys! It seems like every couple days we spot a few kitten ’s up north trying to take our spawn supply camp.

Well two of us just finished our legendaries so we will see more of us out there

As Wedo was saying Hands off my Octopus was originally from Stormbluff Isle and when the koreans aka WM left because they were tired of Tier 1 the server was slowly dying out. Therefore, we went to Blackgate to have fun in Tier 2 and see how different the gameplay was from Tier1. I must say we had fun but the competition in T2 was nothing like T1 ( which I will say since the transfer to gems was implemented this has changed). So we wanted to stay in T1 and knew SBI was definitely going to drop out since most of the WvW guilds were deciding to transfer. Therefore, we had alot of SBI friends and also some guilds that we respected joining JQ and we went with them, which at the time Sea of Sorrows was the dominate server. We were hoping to find better small fights and havoc squads to go against but like Wedo said if you wanna pay for all of our server transfers to another T1 or T2 server by all means. We are in it for the fights not the PTT ;P
