They’ve now lost first place (not just the week, the rank) and all the fair weather players are going to abandon ship (either to PvE or to another server). The easy wins appear to be gone, so the buffer of players they enjoyed from that are a luxury no longer around and the guilds are going to have to work harder to stay in tier one, let alone win it. That’s something a lot of JQ isn’t used to. It’s going to get ugly (you can see the frustration on GW2Guru already) and as hard as the guilds might try to make up for the loss of numbers, people get sick of over time.

Rush to recruit because if the dominoes keep falling like they have been these last few weeks, the next time JQ will be green might be in tier two.

Yeah an interesting question. Although the next time we are green will be in Tier 8 in a week or two right after the sky has fallen and everyone has jumped servers because we only know how to win from coverage and since BG has the best coverage they will clearly beat us badly this week.

Our SEA may not wear one tag but they are still as devastating as ever though they do pve a little more than they have in the past but can we blame them? WvW can get boring if you do it 5hrs every night for months on end.

I’m noticing SoR getting better with their organization so brownie points for you guys, but man was I disappointed at the competition when we xferred to BG.

Sounds like a “sky is falling” post. Also JQ can’t recruit, they’re actually the only server that’s “Full”. Or maybe that means they finished secret pre-emptive recruiting!

Although if I ever see another HoD collapse, I’d laugh pretty hard. I still remember HoD dominating the Friday and Saturday (and maybe Sunday) after TA disbanded, and then just tanked during the weekdays. Followed by the exodus.

I know youre new, having just bandwagoned to BG and all, so I’ll tell you something funny. JQ lost in T1 pretty much since the game launched til 2 months ago. Losing now isnt going to change much about the server, theres still just going to be a bunch of guilds with low numbers and tons of PVE people who run from fights half the time. Even if 3 servers super stacked and we went to T2 I doubt the JQ community would change much.

But I did hear about a devious plan for all of JQ to move to BG and clog up their Q’s til they get tired of it and disperse. On the even more positive side, this will also give us lots of room to recruit more guilds before we all ninja transfer back in the middle of the night when theres like 4 people playing.

No, it was definitely a rise group. It was so terrible it didn’t even get the normal mumble response of “PORTAL PORTAL PORTAL” instead it was Jed yelling out “BAGS! GET YOUR BAGS!” as he watched the mesmer run up to him and drop the portal. It was such a surreal moment that actualy, I love you guys for it.

The problem is that once a server reaches the top and has tasted the large amount of victories, it becomes corrupt and is more susceptible than ever to collapse. Like a poisoned chalice.

What do HoD, SBI and SoS all have in common? They were the 3 most successful servers in tier 1.

Who succeeded them? Jade Quarry.

Is Jade Quarry immune to collapse? Prior to their success you would say yes, afterwards, I’m not so sure.

The majority of the loyal guilds and players who have been there from day dot, and have been there through the hard times have left SBI and SoS within a short timeframe, the same can happen to JQ or any other server and SoS proved it can still happen after the end of free transfers.

Maybe I shouldnt have quoted you since my comments were more of a general statement. Sorry if that seemed a bit direct.

To the second question, I play for my own reasons. A portion of my friends have stopped playing or have moved to different servers already, i’m where I am because I want to be. I’d still be on JQ and continue to go out and fight the good fight even if we imploded and sank to T8. I never said it couldnt happen, its just something I dont see happening right now. Would I still have motivation to play? Of course I would, everyone plays the game for their own reasons, winning WvW isn’t why I play this game. If my style of play couldn’t be met in the lower tiers its possible i’d leave but i’m not in that situation at the moment. If other guilds/people want to leave thats on them, I have no ill feelings towards them at all because at the end of the day they need to do what makes their time enjoyable on this game. If that means moving to another server with their friends/guild then so be it. Like I said though, this is just my opinion, many others may/will see it differently.

Also i’m sure HoD/SBI/SoS have good communities, then again i’ve never been there so I cant honestly judge them. My statement was regarding the way all of those servers have placed higher than us, had better coverage, etc. Well we continued to prove to ourselves and everyone else we’re competitive even if we’re not ranked number one. We’ll still put up great fights as i’m sure BG/SoR will as well, thats what I’m looking forward to.

I’m being absolutely serious. Whenever I defending against zergs with my Arrowcart Backpack :X , I would lag out and DC. I just now DC’ed twice in a row trying to help defend FABL Bay. Anyone else experiencing this in this tier so far?

JQ….why do you put arrow carts in the middle of zerg v zerg fights? Thought T1 was suppose to be this awesome zerg v zerg competition but as I command for RISE I can’t help but notice the disorganization from JQ and some SoR zergs. JQ’s logic – put arrow carts in the middle of fights because our skill isn’t enough, scatter everywhere to make us look like a bigger zerg, run away. I’m noticing SoR getting better with their organization so brownie points for you guys, but man was I disappointed at the competition when we xferred to BG.

Rather, he should of remained off the forums. Trash talking when you guild is a non-factor is the reason he got so many nice responses!

Looks like BG got some real quality guilds recently. They are just so respectful to their opponents on this forum. Special praise to the leadership of RISE. I can see from the top down what a special guild they are. They put the rest of us to shame.

I would also like to welcome the many new other BG posters who have honoured us all with their presence in the last week. It is great you have found your way finally to the T1 match thread and provide such insightful and intelligent commentary on the match. The veteran BG posters must be just so pleased to see you in this thread.

I have one thing to ask:

BG was impolding at the time and was on their way to T2. They ate another server and now are no longer imploding, but that does not mean they were doing fine 2 weeks ago. Your comment is kind of stupid.

JQ’s PVE forces would also like to thank Kaineng as they can now all easily get blue vistas and POIs apparently. So I guess the question now is “how long til sea of black kainengs implodes!?!”

Actually the more interesting question is how far will JQ fall now that both EMP and FoO have left? They’ve now lost first place (not just the week, the rank) and all the fair weather players are going to abandon ship (either to PvE or to another server). The easy wins appear to be gone, so the buffer of players they enjoyed from that are a luxury no longer around and the guilds are going to have to work harder to stay in tier one, let alone win it. That’s something a lot of JQ isn’t used to. It’s going to get ugly (you can see the frustration on GW2Guru already) and as hard as the guilds might try to make up for the loss of numbers, people get sick of over time.

Rush to recruit because if the dominoes keep falling like they have been these last few weeks, the next time JQ will be green might be in tier two.

I know youre new, having just bandwagoned to BG and all, so I’ll tell you something funny. JQ lost in T1 pretty much since the game launched til 2 months ago. Losing now isnt going to change much about the server, theres still just going to be a bunch of guilds with low numbers and tons of PVE people who run from fights half the time. Even if 3 servers super stacked and we went to T2 I doubt the JQ community would change much.

But I did hear about a devious plan for all of JQ to move to BG and clog up their Q’s til they get tired of it and disperse. On the even more positive side, this will also give us lots of room to recruit more guilds before we all ninja transfer back in the middle of the night when theres like 4 people playing.

I was like you once. I thought it would never happen to my server, we have a proud history, we are not fair weather, we always fight hard when behind and can handle losing etc etc

The problem is that once a server reaches the top and has tasted the large amount of victories, it becomes corrupt and is more susceptible than ever to collapse. Like a poisoned chalice.

What do HoD, SBI and SoS all have in common? They were the 3 most successful servers in tier 1.

Who succeeded them? Jade Quarry.

Is Jade Quarry immune to collapse? Prior to their success you would say yes, afterwards, I’m not so sure.

The majority of the loyal guilds and players who have been there from day dot, and have been there through the hard times have left SBI and SoS within a short timeframe, the same can happen to JQ or any other server and SoS proved it can still happen after the end of free transfers.

We lose one week and now we’re having this impending collapse? I’ve been on JQ since the start, we’ve won and lost our fair share of T1 matches. I WvW daily and see the same people i’ve seen through out our victories and defeats and I doubt that will change. Any outsider can claim this or claim that, the facts are you’re not a part of our community so you’ll never know just how strong we really are. We’re not HoD/SBI/SoS, we’ve proven to be the most stable competitive T1 server in history even if we’re not first. But go ahead, continue with these implosion comments its time for me to bust out the popcorn and watch the show

Put it this way, imagine the guilds that you play with, as well as all your WvW friends move servers. Do you stay? or do you go with them? If you stay, will you have a motivation to keep playing?

I don’t wish it upon any server but to think that it can’t happen to Jade Quarry, you’re only fooling yourself.

Hah, I think MERC is a last guild who should lament the fall of SoS. If you were in it for the community you could have stayed. Could have easily stayed in tier one.

When BG was “falling apart” I know for a fact MERC was all ready to jump ship. Glad you guys stuck it through though. Was proud of you guys!

But you shouldn’t judge JQ’s stability based upon your own guild’s weakness.
