I’m ex-Fire, still on JQ. Those that left left due to a clash of personalities, that’s pretty much it. Welcome to reality, not everyone gets along with everyone and I hope those that left are having a blast on DB. (And that they forget how to fight… <cough>) Although it sucked having my guild leave right when I was working hard to rebuild relations and move us beyond that, these things happen.

I don’t want to get into anything because as stated we do have a bright future on DB – and we have no interest in the past. But don’t say things like we forgot how to fight – that is so far from the truth and you know it. And the issues we left over go beyond personality clashes. We made our decision and are much happier for it. We have no interest in forum drama but I won’t let incorrect statements about our guild stand.

We wish the best for the handful of FIRE who stayed on JQ (and not all of those folks have left FIRE they will join us for our next game), and the same for the server as well.

RE should pull an IRON and transfer to a T1 Eu server.

At least the server will actually have an NA presence and their presence will be significantly felt.

As much as i would like to see that, the only problem i could see any NA guild transferring to a EU server would be communication. EU languages varies from area to area and i would not expect everyone to know English. Some servers might have a decent base of English knowing players but i could also see how some might not. Considering this game is about socializing in the end, if [RE] would go to an EU server, i recommend they research each server indept

I would imagine that, unless they go to one of the specific German/French/Spanish servers, the language barrier wouldn’t be much more of an issue than on any of the NA servers with a strong asian presence. Read: not that big of a problem. You’d be surprised at how many people know english, or at least enough of it for basic communication. I agree on the thorough research bit though, EU server or not.

SoS wins like every other high tier server, population during off hours.

Anet is pretty screwy when it comes to game balance.

I don’t think they actually play their own game, they’re too busy fixing it.

Why don’t you tell us why Fire, the guild that was on JQ since launch decided to transfer to DB? how about the departure of Omen? Also, if you are thinking about transferring to JQ, you need to watch out some of the commanders from HzH and AoS, they love yelling at PuGs who question their fail tactics, these so-called commanders even went as far as threatening to ban PuGs who have different views from using the server’s TS.

And people wonder why JQ is doing so bad these days…

I urge the folks from Omen and Fire to speak up, tell us the sad reality of JQ’s wvw community. JQ needs to get rid of its bad blood before it sinks lower.

Those of us that stayed are seeing the community rebound wonderfully as we move on and having some absolutely great fights these days. The AoS and HzH commanders (as well as others, of course) have really been picking up the slack and the TS environment has been fun. Hey, I’ve been less than perfect at times in TS, but we chatted a bit and realize that to honestly move forward it starts from within, not without. What I see now in JQ is a refreshing reminder of the old days of crazy fun and crazier battles, and I welcome any and all to join us and share in that.

Agreed. As a pug, it’s refreshing to not see commanders rage quit because all they have are “a bunch of pugs who don’t follow orders”. The new JQ is finally embracing pugs as a viable force while also allowing the new and old dedicated guilds to run their own forces in tandem. It’s actually made WvW a lot more fun and engaging and I love this new direction. The commanders who stayed after the break up have greatly improved their relationship with the population and the new commanders are already embracing the power of the pug.

That said, the JQ in WvW now brings great fights, a never give up attitude, and a lot of tenacity. It’s also the most helpful PvE and Dungeon server I’ve been on, so for non-WvW guilds and members it’s great. It would be nice to have another NA force to help us cause havoc to whatever servers we’re paired up with each week. There’s room to grow in the NA time slot if “T1” is where you’re looking to go (or whatever the new system will call us).

I’d agree with others that FA is your best bet in T2, though I admit it’d be great to see some of the servers who are always at the bottom have some forces join them and really balance out the game across the board as time goes on.

That said, it would take you a while to get all your guys over to TC, but I think given the fact that you wouldn`t have to worry about server implosion here probably makes it the most attractive idea. Jump once more and never have to do it again. You`d just have to be patient about getting everyone over.

Well we are rebuilding momentum in T3 with RE’s help we will not drop out of the T3 spot.
Out of all the servers in the top 9 (besides kaineng) FA needs the most help to stay where they are or to move up. And is probably the easiest to transfer 350 members into.

There are degrees of volatility. Cross tier volatility is good to a degree, but the potential to skip 2-3 tiers is a bit much. If it turns out bad, hopefully they can adjust it and lower the volatility.

That was true for as long as XF was staying. With them moving to BG, we will now have no off-hours advantage. Pair that with the sub-par NA and T4 is inevitable I’m afraid.

I don’t see XF’s leaving as a sign that we will drop to T4 for sure. XF is only one guild of many in that timeslot. Absolute predictions are pretty hard to make. If you feel its inevitable you could just wait till we actually do drop to t4 level in rankings (not matchup as new matchup system etc).

HzH does not yell at anyone lol. We do anything we can for the server and always have. I am guessing you are not actually in this server at this time.

Just want to say a quick thanks to everyone that talked to us yesterday. In my opinion this was a great way to go about it all. I think we have made some friends regardless of where we end up transferring.

Having said that by about 5 hours in we were pretty exhausted so sorry to Yak’s Bend and FA if we may have come across as a bit uninterested. That’s definitely not true and we really enjoyed learning about your servers.

Second that. TC is Full 95% of the time, but we know when those non-Full 5% times are and have ways of getting people in.

Always enjoyed fighting against RE when KN was in T2, would enjoy even more fighting with you guys. Good fit all around.

They were social with us until WM left the server (and burned RE by suddenly shutting off public teamspeak and not refunding donations), then they went in isolation mode. I doubt they will be in isolation when they switch servers.

On Kaineng, it is true; currently they stay shut in their own private TS and run things on their own accord. I was not with them in Darkhaven though.

You have NO clue what you are talking about. Kaineng Server had a TS provided for ALL of Kaineng. Every Kaineng guild (some more so than others) constantly reached out to RE. They chose to keep on their own TS and basically if anyone wanted to follow them on a BL was given their private TS to join. They chose not to come to the Kain server TS for their own reasons I suppose. Regardless don’t run your mouth about issues you don’t even know (: Then say lets not derail, if you didn’t want a derail don’t involve yourself and basically call someone a liar for what they posted.

Pretty much this. The day of, or the day after War Machine pulled the plug on the previous server Teamspeak without notice, the new Kaineng TS was advertised. A lot of us managed to find it and hop on, so it was odd that we barely saw RE on the channel. We reached out to them but they already had their own TS set up I think. Regardless, they chose to maintain isolated in their own Teamspeak which fueled the rumor that they’re getting ready to leave the server. Why else would a Guild keep themselves isolated, right? We managed to convince some members to join both TS’s and their representatives passed information back and forth between [RE] and the rest of the server. It was really the best we could get of both worlds I suppose. I’m sure that wouldn’t be the case in their new server, it would be fresh beginnings after all and it would be the best way for them to integrate themselves to the rest of the community.

Theres nothing wrong with a guild having its own voice chat server. Lots of guilds on JQ do it and JQ has always gotten a long fine that way. Heck, I remember one night when SF had one guy in our server, WARD’s server AND JQ TS server. All the same guy. Dude is an awesome multitasker. He also grew up in Zimbabwe, Britain, New Zealand, Uruguay and Soviet Russia ALSO all at the same time. His name is Cue, and he is the sexiest man alive.

Heh, I could write a few pages on what I ‘remember’ about this guild but you are right, this isn’t the place to derail it. I will leave it at this, as long as darkhaven is not considered best of luck.

We stick to our TS since a member bought a server with a year license with his own money and offered it to us to use before the second community TS came out. We don’t stay isolated because we are moving, we advertise our TS all the time. Just wanted to clear that up. Our server is open to those we run with so stop on by.
