TC people are taking this too seriously, lol. I think most of CD doesn’t care aside from a few. Most of FA doesn’t care and some think it’s funny. I’m somewhere in-between so I’ll say I find it amusing.

TC was pushing into FA BL before the event even began. Derv called for GODS to get into FA BL because Garrison was under attack. This was around the time of the Dolyak event so they were independent of one another. We defended it for hours until members got off since it’s late for most of us now. FA really needs more people on the West Coast. This population dip between our NA crew and Oceanic crew really hurts. Kinda silly that TC posters are attributing the taking of Garrison to revenge for crashing your event. But it seemed you guys wanted it anyway and were going to take it once FA went to sleep anyway. Oh well, I guess I’ll have some fun posts to read now.

I always thought of tier 3 as one of the most calm and mature tiers compared to the others, and we’re currently veering further and further from that by the minute.

TC are wiping CDBL in the same way as well. Drama aside, this fiasco shows that TC is by far the stronger server, have the numbers to push hard 1v1 on 2 different borderlands at the same time against 2 T3 servers. Attribute it to numbers or tactics, but there certainly is a decent sized gap between TC and CD/FA/YB.

My posts are deleted. Yes, some quotes exist, but the spirit of the deletion is that this is all silly to argue over and my words aren’t spoken from all of TC or the guild I’m in. I’ll bring it on the battlefield.

But we also have the weakest oceanic coverage in the tier, which is a big part holding us back from getting the needed ratings to push out of T3. It’s also the reason why we will probably get rolled in T2 against servers that can match our numbers in prime time and absolutely demolish us in off time.

Agreed. This is pointless, and trolling us clearly has an impact in game as well as in the forums. That group hurt their server, and they have effectively killed this thread.

Aussie player here (for TC).
It’s nice to do the ‘peaceful’ activities every once in a while, and it really shows that there is good sportsmanship involved between the servers. As another poster has already pointed out, similar activities have occurred in major world wars in the past.
I’m proud of what we achieved today and I am sure that our actions prove, if you selfishly mess with a mature, peaceful activity you will be brought to your knees.

I’m an FA player and I was going to join the dolyak march (with my mystery tonic) but was unable to as I was working at that time.

I just wanted to say I’m very disappointed to hear that some FA players thought they’d get some kicks out of ruining other people’s fun.

You were asked in team chat to NOT attack this one group (which included members from FA as well). There was nothing to gain by attacking this event other than to get some selfish laughs at everyone else’s expense.

Those who say WvW is pvp and this stuff belongs in PvE completely missed the point — doing this in a PvP area was the entire point of showing good sportsmanship.

In fact, you had 3 options -

1. Leave them alone.
2. Join them.
3. Grief them.

I think the fact that a group of you chose the third option reflects badly on both the players themselves and their guilds.

TC didn’t exactly demolish two other servers at the same time. PiNK and the people that follow them destroyed FA while CD did some light raiding. CD eventually pulled back to handle the rest of TC who had decided to come to our borderlands because “Hey, our server is active. Let’s do this!”

Plus CD is really low motivation by Thursday anyway. We tend to think this day doesn’t count, or at least the NA players do.
-Not to devalue anyone that’s trying to hold TC back, but there just isn’t the population tonight. You might as well hang out in Eternal if you want actual fights.

I have nothing but respect for CD players.

In my opinion as an FA Oceanic, we only seemed to outnumber TC during the fist week at oceanic coverage which can be attributed to the Lost Shores event. Other than that, even during the FA/TC/YB match of last week we had outmanned in EB at night and TC could launch an assault with 25~people on FABL whilst we defended with 30~ and TC could have 15 people in TCBL as well holding supply camps. You aren’t strong in any means during Oceanic, but you certainly aren’t weak.

I see alot of TC saying they’ll get smashed by T2 but you haven’t fought BG for a while and you got smashed by SoR because the third server was HoD (I think). Which was the same scenario as when TC smashed FA with ET as the third server. And FA is certainly somewhat competitive with TC still.

A few very vocal and malignant players from FA are basically setting the course for your entire server in t3.

As gamers, we have the ability to sometimes be creative and do the unexpected. Therefore it is disappointing when a fellow community finds themselves unable to keep up and instead resorts to the base and ordinary. Feel free to continue posting excuses as to why your server is not keeping up in this tier, but it very well may just come down to the fact that you have painted such a negative picture of yourselves that people will be more than happy to see you go back down again.

Good on you guys defending. I have more respect for you guys at CD than I ever have after todays events, and I think this last bit is just us wanting some competition since we’ve already gotten all we can out of FA for the time being.

Regardless of how things went, I still had fun with the TINY bit of the march that did happen, and I made friends in both CD and FA from the event. I hope the mods dont just flat out close the thread, and I also hope they take care of the obvious trolls that are keeping this arguing going.

It gets worse with each week. You guys and FA have been against eachother repeatedly, and people are getting unpleasant because of it. CD for the post part doesn’t care, but it’s only our first week back in T3 after the little dip we took into T4. Eventually, we’re going to be going through a lot of threads, due to them being closed.

Okay, I’m from TC, Pilkinius Longpaw, or Rootpaw or Theibius Fourpaws.. I enjoyed the ‘event’.. I had missed the Yak parade, I honestly had no plans to make that event as thats a bit pish posh for me, I log back on and check the Forums and wish to continue to level the toon, and this is what we are doing, So for that, I thank you FA.

Someone created and ‘hand shake’ PvE event in a PvP area and a few souls took it upon themselfs to improve upon that and crash the party and bring the ‘A’ game in what in perception was an attempt to be the new bully and get some w v w creds, up there ‘hardcore’ gangsta status. Thinking that perhaps one of the two might side with em in the after effects who knows, BUT what they did do was CREATE a WvWrP event themselfs and for a brief period of time for the victors, a lifetime for the antagonists they brought the larger force and the small force into a defacto 2v1.

I am a bit in envy of the cupcake gangstas that were able to unify the mighty TC, yes we RP and we fell for the bait, hook line and sinker. But now we go back to doing what we do best and if its red, its dead.

As to fourm postings, To the victor goes the spoils. And be proud of this, it will be spoken in hushed whispers and used to frighten children before bed

If the cooperation of todays events can happen between our worlds, I’d say we can be friendlier for longer than we could with FA. Both worlds have been with eachother for long enough to pick up negative aspects of both and continue to bicker endlessly about them. Most of which I havent seen with CD

At this point I’m starting to think TC belongs in Tier 2 for sure.

FA actually has a decent japanese population (I’m guessing by the JPN tags and assortment of japanese guild names) during that time period and they are quite a force to be reckoned with if they show up in numbers. TC’s presence during that time period is very erratic – sometimes we can muster up enough to hold on to what we have, other times we are outmanned on both maps we have any presence on (just 2 days ago, if I recall). Fortunately for us, our weak timing lasts only a short portion of the day and the rest of the time we heavily outnumber the competition, leading to the scores we’ve been seeing the past…2 months?

FA is definitely competitive with TC when the numbers are even. It’s a shame that doesn’t happen all too often.

I didn’t waste my time sifting through the trash of the past few pages, so I’m not saying “you” personally, Nickthemoonwolf. Just anyone/everyone who fed off of this drama in any way, shape, or form, regardless of who started what.

Fun night, thanks to Appledainty for the Yak Walk, had a blast. TC will always support roleplaying even on other servers. Was nice to see a long list of some of our best commanders come out and support the event. Goofing around with your opponents makes future conflicts more fun. Thanks to the many CDs and especially the FAs who participated (in particular [GODS]).

I expected people to eventually get bored and things to end in a (fun) bloodbath, but FAs bloodthirsty attitude made for an entertaining night in a different way. It would have been better to have waited until the walk was winding down though. Events like these are “have your cake and eat it too” – we can do something fun together and then let chaos reign afterwards.

Really proud of the commanders and TCers who called for FA to hit 0 points tonight and then made it happen. Well played – was a night to remember!

I have posted enough on this topic already and would like to end it here. I just want to say one thing before that though:
Its true that WvWvW is a PvP zone and PvP happens there irrespective of whether you like it or not. Similar events were held in the past in other MMO’s which always ended badly. However here we 3 servers full of mature players, especially with all the animosity among ourselves in the past 4-5 days, had a chance to do something different for a few minutes. Some might frown at this move, some might call us idiots, some don’t just give a rat’s kitten what the motive for the event was. Yet players from all 3 servers have shown up. Although those from my enemy servers would remain anonymous to me, I’d like to say, “Thank You for being civil for a good 30mins before the event and for those 3-5mins during the event”. On the other hand, those who spoilt the event, well…

What’s with all the generalizations about FA? I’m in [HOPE] and we always fight honorably, tactfully, and never troll the forums. Who are you guys talkin’ about anyway?!

Well if nobody comes up with anything else I’m sure we could try to escort other yaks through the perilous pathways of WvW and see who comes to wreck the party- I bet one from north camp to garrison on any border would give the saboteurs less excuse to have just been in the area playing normally anyway, and more time for us to block out the sun with our fireworks. I know appledainty still has tons of ruminant potions so we could aim to have twice as many yaks in the parade each time we do it.

To Arenanet, Closing this thread will do nothing as another will just be open. You need to start banning those with warnings from the forums( perhaps just a forum ban) and give warnings to those that don’t have any. This will clear up everything. Some people from all servers clearly need to have this priviledge taken away.

Err. The event was started by a CD player hence being held in CDBL. And the FA players that ruined the event knew about it beforehand and was there just to kill players that they knew wouldnt fight back.

Appledainty “The Yak Whisperer” is CD, but is much loved now by TC.

Actually, I organized the event and I am from CD.

I have no ill will toward FA, and I’m really surprised by the strong reaction that the TC folks had to the intrusion on the Dolyak Walk. I was absolutely sure that someone was going to troll this event. I’m actually surprised that a few of my own guildies didn’t show up to do some light trolling themselves. :x I love my guild, but we’re do troll some (oftentimes our own).

In the end, the main objective was completed, so I am satisfied. :0) The yak made it to the keep, and at least one yak guard got it there.

I love you guys from [PRO]! Me and my friend were dancing on the ruins with some [PRO] dudes a few days ago, and having duels and such.

pkilla- you ignore some o the facts of the event. Everyone was told in team chat not to attack the event. Then afterwards people bragged about destroying the event on the forums, clearly they knew about it and purposefully attacked it when it could have been a short peaceful event between all three servers to show, ‘hey, even though this week has been rough, it’s been fun’ and most importantly show respect. Those who ruined it showed they have no respect and are immature. They gained nothing for doing it other then to brag about it on the forums, and the result was attacks directed at a single server which did hopefully shut them up, but it’s doubtful.

So the 40min of stalemate that TC vs. 40+ FAs at your garrison weren’t players? It was only after we’ve taken Hills, and then Garrison you guys started to disappear.

The situation is over and TC got their revenge.

It was a CD player who came up with the event, and members from all 3 servers were in attendance. The two guilds who attacked and ruined it knew about it before hand from the forums and made SURE to be in the area at the time. They proceeded to troll the forums and stir up a rage that ended up hurting their server as a whole.

Honestly the whole event thing has run it’s corse.

FA proved they’re not organized enough to keep their own players in line, and people from FA should stop trying to defend their actions, TC proved they have enough people to reduce both servers to practically 0 points at the same time and belong in tier 2, and CD proved that when the going gets tough we all log out.

All in all looks like we proved once and for all that a broken WvW game is broken.

I have two things to respond to this with:
A: People from your server had been advertising it to the point of suppression, and others were saying to stop in chat as it happened. The people responsible came in here, declared they knew exactly what was up, and bragged about killing the parade.
B: I think TC intends to focus you guys into next week over this. I’m sure some players from CD will eventually do something offensive enough to regain the ire of TC but until that happens things are looking particularly bad for FA.
