We concerned Rallians decided to rally
To help defend our old barkskinned ally

That our Aboreal friend was doing quite fine

To our dismay and delight
The Spirit was winning the fight
Thinking what a total farce
The Old Tree knocked them on their kitten

At that moment we rushed to help
Laughing manically – to crush the whelps
How dare they choose to pve
In what has become SoR’s EB
And thus was the chest ours to keep.

Sorry for the horrible attempt at poetry but we ran across at least 50-60 BG trying to kill the Aboreal Spirt and JUST as we get into range the Spirit did a knockback. Our meager group of 30 or so proceeded to rush in and kill them all. To add insult to injury we set up siege at the chest. Of course we had to put the poor dear tree out of it’s misery. It seemed to have ruptured a taproot laughing along with us.

Thanx for the fun BG. Hell of a way to end a night in EB.

As for JQ……stay away from our Aboreal Spirit and keep doing whatever it is that you have been doing. My “f” button does not discrimate when it comes to loot bags.

I know there were a few SOR pve small guilds and individuals that transferred to JQ just for that reason.

If anything SOR’s months long attrition hardened the server and trimmed the fat (aka pve transfers)….

I was commanding when that happend, i warned them and told them so we deserved the wipe, your poem was good i thought. Also it was not a zerg od Rise and GoF, was 15-20 GoF with a cluster of 40+ other people all from different tags.

I agree fighting tsym zerg force at rogues quarry was intense i thought we were going to wipe for sure… But never underestimate the militia i guess somehow we won… They were pretty kitten ed about losing that chest… And i could see this red bloodlust in their eyes, i actually got scared and was a bit worried for you guys… Best fight ive had in a while!

1) there are a lot but some good battles i can remember are tsym,tw/twl,choo,hzh

2) tw put up a fun and tactical fight definitely fun and tough to fight when we have even guild numbers

3) GoF doesn’t come on the forums often so i don’t know… But i really like LOVE’s score updates especially when they are hand draw with rainbows and sunshine

Actually BG had the manpower and strategy to counter JQ’s Sea presence, which was how we were able to win T1. It wasn’t our fault that SoR wasn’t pulling the same player numbers as they are now to actually make it more of a 3 way fight.

don’t get me wrong I have nothing but respect for those SoR who were out there fighting the Foo powerhouse and BG oceanic n Sea guilds, they had it tough, but to claim BG had the manpower to counter SoR’s numbers during NA and JQ’s numbers during Sea is a joke, we have great guilds who fight the best they can, and now they have to battle T3 keeps n towers too

but please don’t let the truth get in the way of the chest thumping

Do not blame yourself, NEVER BLAME YOURSELF. And no, you are not guilty.

GW2 is a game and if you don’t enjoy the WvW experience of getting 50-90ppt nobody in SOR is blaming you. /nosarcasm

We all seek the game we want to play. Some like to play against odds, some don’t, it’s all how we like to play the game. It is not work so we don’t have to work at WvW. There are a spectrum of players in all the servers and it’s plenty hard to get the hardcore WvWer or PvEr to go either way. What we deem as fun is our DNA, we cannot deny what we like to do to have fun.

Nonetheless, the WvWers enjoy the company of the militia because every Rallian that steps into WvW is a soldier of SOR, regardless of creed, race, guild or profession. /salute.

That said, a word out to the rest of the new guys in WvW. More PVT please, the game design favors PVT. More PVT = more DPS.

I’m on South East Asian timing and i joined SOR ever since they were in T2.

IMHO, the shift up to T1 was such a horrendous experience being pummeled the daylights out of us during my weekday wvw nights, so much so that i’m guilty of being a fair weather wvwer.

Logging in during those weeks have always been a period of being steamrolled by the immense JQ zerg. Additionally, it got worst with BG coming in, and all those news about them buying guilds was simply disheartening. Imagine seeing the uber JQ train becoming even fatter when FOO transferred in. Utterly disgusting.

SOR was constantly in 3rd, and i was wondering when we would actually drop to T2. But our leaders proved me wrong. Kudos to all our commanders and wvwers!

A warm welcome to IRON from the casual wvwers like me.

Now… its so good to be squishing these buggers back.

The problem we have as BG is that a lot of our players are fair weather fighters, sad but true -_-
