Reason why I want to play a Norn.
As a blanket statement, I’d have to disagree.
If you’re talking about female Norn, then yea I’ll say most armors look good.
If you’re talking about male Norn, then I’m gonna have to say that only heavy armor looks “FAN-KITTEN-TASTIC” The light armor isn’t bad, though I think they look better on other races. And medium armors (as I’m learning) are far from stunning.

Armor? Thats what you like?
Your skill at detecting true style is lacking.
No norn should go without the most important thing of all, a wondrous mustache!

i saw that monstrosity while messing with character creator, i pretty much fell out of my chair laughing
Medium T3 on male norn really looks FAN-KITTEN-TASTIC.
Norn do seem to have by far the best options in terms of armor. At least they seem to have the most options in terms of variety. Men and women can be fully covered or showing their tattoos
And the art on them is just amazing. I dunno… I love Norn armor in general. I just wish there were even more of it :P
Actually I find a lot of armor distorted on Norn females – any sort of skirt or item that rides on the hips just explodes when worn by Norn females. Swords are so oversized they drag in the dirt, and shoulder-guards swell to ridiculous size and float in near orbit around their torsos rather than fit them. Its also extremely hard to find over the knee armor for them – things that are over the knee on human females just come up to the knee on Norn in most cases… Their not-at-all clever way of making them look taller: bad tailoring.
I wonder what your basis for comparison is…”

Not quite sure what you mean. As a light armor Mesmer I always wear a skirt and I never seen how they “explode” on a Norn. Sure its bulky, but that’s all light skirts no matter what race you are (even that single light pant piece is bulky). Oh what I wouldnt give for medium pants.
Below is my PvP set, with skirt and knee high “armor”. I avoid the shoulderguards though, haha.
i honestly think the best thing about Norn armor is that Norns are large enough that you can easily see all the small design details in the armors without having to zoom in.
I love the artwork for Norn, but unfortunatly most armor for male norn make you look either fat or akward. Females look good though.

HA! If you find norn bad for that stuff you should try making a charr! Really most norn armor is quite well fitted for both genders, in not a fan of the male’s proportions but they really have very few issues with armor details.
hmmm… My main is a norn running on light armor, and loving it!!!

I’m a Conan the Cimmerian fan / Viking fan, that’s why I have chosen to play as a male “Norn” Warrior class character in Guild Wars 2 actually!
Love my Norn. T3 Warrior Twilight. Dye combo: Pyre (yellow), Charred (the capes), Cinders (horns, spikes, and glove surrounds), & Abyss (matched with Pyre). I gave up my 900 hour play-time Human Warrior to make this Norn PURELY for the Armor and the kitten-ness of being a Norn.

I’m pretty sure it’s male norn that make male norn look fat and awkward, not their armor. <_<
Regarding the over the knee thing… The only set I see a difference in for Light armor is the Honor of the Waves set? And for that set, I like seeing the Norn knee, it shows off the thigh muscles. And it’s also a very very slight difference.
If you get Norn cultural or Honor of the Waves, it’s not as bad, with the exploding thing.
Male Norn does have a body type that’s pretty obese or at least lacking some muscles but is all about size. A lot of the armor pics you see on the wiki are of a male Norn sporting that body type, and it ruins the armor imo (you’ll know it when you see it).
Ascalon armor and Crucible armor looks pretty tight for a Guardian as long as you got the right dyes. The Crucible armor definitely reminds me of the Batman armor from GW1, which I’m glad they copied because it was awesome to look like a medieval Batman (Zurzick armor). That was worth the grind.
All female Norn armour looks amazing. For male born, i mean you can’t fault the t3 cultural armour… i mean CMON, i mean look at this BEAST!!!
blinded by the light! How are you so shiny?

Shiny Norn? I’m so shiny you cant see me =p
More so for lulz
Do you happen to remember what character model you used for your norn? I want one that looks like that but all the models I’ve tried just have them looking too big/husky.
