Have her check the thread: not getting our emails to see if that has a solution.
If it doesn’t she will need to contact support. They are going to want to speak to the owner of the account. If she is going to be the owner, she needs to be the one to contact them. She doesn’t need to log in to this forum.
Top of page-support. Then top of page-submit a request. She makes a ticket from there.

We went to the not getting our emails threat and nothing worked and she still has not received the email. she will be the owner of the account so she just opened up a ticket and she received an email from the support team. Her problem is she never received an email from noreply@guildwars2.com to verify her account to login the website.
Then, she would explain that in her ticket. The only ones that can offer assistance is the CS Team. No one on the forums can get her into the game.

Having the same issue. I just downloaded the files, registered the account, and when i click the desktop icon and go to log in, it keeps saying my account name and/or password is invalid. Would i need to check out that page as well? I have gotten the email from arenanet.

In your case, you may be trying to use your Display Name (Sanserif.1608) rather than your Account Name (email address associated with your Game Account) to log into the game.
