Guild Wars 2

I never used a mobile authenticator for Guild wars 2, however since I was hacked I noticed this under “https://account.guildwars2.com/account/security” page.

“A mobile authenticator is currently linked to your account. To unlink it, use the button below.”

I can still login to my game without needing to use a code anywhere. I’m a bit confused.

Why does the site say that I have an authenticator linked (which I never had before) and why I can still log on to the game without any codes?

Sounds like the hacker put a Mobile Authenticator on your account, but never removed the previously authenticated IP addresses. You should contact CS and have it removed. Good luck.

Your hacker has added an authenticator in order to use it to lock you out of the account. You’ll need to contact support (see the link at the top of the page) to get the authenticator removed.

He doesn’t have the code that is used to generate the temporary code, so he cannot use the authenticator. He would need to get it removed and then add it himself.

Oh, I see. Not having one of these myself, I thought the code would be sent to his email.
