Hi Anet! I bought 2 Althea’s Ashes today with the same infusion slot. I was under the impression that you will be able to use it,I can’t wear two and i thought it was a bug, however after doing some research I found out that you can only 2 ascended provided that it has a different infusion slot.

So my problem is i got stuck with 2 identical ascended accessory with same infusion slot. Can you Anet suggest what to do about it? Or can you even at least change the infusion to a different 1 so I can wear the other Althea?

Hoping for you assistance here.

Not an expert on this, but I seem to recall someone else asking for help on the forum, same thing. What he was told he could do, was to infuse one but not the other. That this would change it enough to wear both.

If you were going to infuse one anyway, it’s worth a try.

I believe transmuting one of them is also an option.
As for a refund or a change, probably not but you could try submitting a ticket.
The items do come with a warning though, they are unique.

I tried infusing one with agony resistance that i bought from FOTM but I am still not able to wear both. As for transmuting it doesn’t work for amulet,rings and accessories plus it did not give me any warning at all. I guess Anet won’t do anything for a small timers though.

Yah, they need a sell back feature for this, for non soulbound items. It takes so long to accumulate enough laurels to buy them and truthfully, the information that it is “unique” is inadequate as a warning. In Guild Wars 1, unique meant it was a green item. They changed the meaning in this game without warning and if you didn’t play other games that had this same meaning or if you didn’t read the forums and see it there, you wouldn’t know. It’s a punishing loss of laurels for a simple mistake. If it was me I would hold on to it and hope they put in a buy back feature.

For rings you could upgrade one ring to infused equipment. There’s no infused equipment for accessories tho.

You can send in a ticket. They have swapped them in the past for people if you ask nicely.

Even though I said it does tell you that the items are unique, I agree that just that word describing the item as such isn’t enough of a warning.
I didn’t mean it as an insult or something.

If support want’s to help you out, that would be awesome.
Only reason I know not to buy the same one twice is because of earlier posts about the same issue.

Note we mean infusing by way of the Mystic forge, not slotting an infusing in like you would with a rune or jewel.
