Can you please, have a look at a guild members ticket. It has been 3 days. He is a 6 1/2 years veteran GW1 player, full HoM, he has been in our guild throughout GW1 and GW2, all he was doing was completing his weapon mastery at the same spot and most probably your bot algorythm kicked in, he has certainly never used any third party progams (you only have to look at his history in game). On another note, Why have these achievements in place, if you have the chance of getting banned for botting by killing the same npc’s over and over again because they spawn time is faster in places than anywhere else on cetain maps.
Please review this case, as he has now been locked of the support email system. I am sure, I have read somewhere on these forums that support and game are not supposed linked, obviously this is not the case.
I would gladly convey any meassages as at present as he is unable to log in to see any progress.

please unban my dad:

On Thursday I was farming the Karka in South Sun Cove with my Guardian. A Warrior and I formed a group to farm and as soon as I decided to stop, I bid farewell and as I went to sell my loot, I was disconnected and banned.

I opened a ticket immediately and after 2 hours, an agent told me I was banned for “illegal software”. I have asked for a review of my account and activities as I have never used any form of 3rd party software or macros or anything – I would never want to risk my account. Since the initial message stating the reason for the ban, I have received no additional responses.

I farmed SSC (and Orr) several times last week – usually with other people, including a guild member and several other people – read our chats discussing our drops (I had a very lucky day earlier in the week) and our gear, etc.

Please help me Gaile Gray, I am a player in good standing since GW1 Beta. Ask the Frog, he’ll vouch for me!

Please unban or at least explain what is going on with my friends account. He was permabanned as a first-offence, but does not believe that was appropriate and does not even understand what could have been his offence.

Banned Friday afternoon (2/8), lost a weekend of playing, and has gotten nothing other than an autoreponse. He can no longer even follow the “You can also review your ticket at the following link” since that asks him to log in. It worked once but since then his support login seems to have been banned.

Hi Gaile,

I am posting this for my friend xilliation.1789 [incident: 130209-000455]

My friend was permanently banned from GW2 “due to botting, extended unattended play, using macros, or similar behavior.” She immediately created a support ticket, and as the first time she wrote it she did not provide enough information, so she updated her ticket. She got a fairly quick response, but it only contained what seemed a very generic response: “This account has been closed for using an illegal third-party program. I want you to know that we take great care when analyzing accounts prior to termination.” (Etc.)

As she is certain she did not use any illegal third-party program, she replied asking help to find out what the issue is. The only programs she runs aside gw2 are skype, mumble, and her steelseries mouse engine. She has set the side buttons on her mouse to press “x” (to turn around), to “r” (for autorun) and on the other side to “-” (the button she has assigned to push to talk in mumble). She does not believe his mouse setup is in conflict with the Terms of Use, and certainly is not a “macro”.
After her reply she has not yet been answered, however she also feels that the first reply she received was very generic.

She knows for certain that she has not used any illegal third-party programs, and certainly has not botted, or used macros, or even broken any other rules at all. I mysef, the day of her account was terminated know that she did not or ever use third party programs or botted. Several hours before her account was terminated I was in her party and using mumble with her. She had decided to do an “All-Nighter” and farm Karka and this is when she was banned. Through almost a week and with only one reply recieved(mentioned above) she has had very little help and left in the blue. She has done nothing wrong or against the Terms of Use and She and I would like to know the possible ways of having her account returned to her. She is very upset about this unjust ban, and as a long time gw1 and gw2 fan, and as someone that has spent 1000+ hours in the game in about 5 months, she really misses the game, and feels very frustrated and helpless.

I was suspended for 3 days on the grounds of a naming violation. I’m totally fine with that, and the ban is already up at this point. My real issue is that there is no way to change my offensive name without deleting my character. If I hop on my necromancer, I’m sure I’ll just be suspended again for another 3 days.

Would you help me change my character name? I already created a ticket on the arenanet support department, but I haven’t gotten any response or help from them. Gaile – much like Jimmyjad, my good friend and guild officer has had the same thing happen to him. He was playing the game and then was disconnected right after he finished his monthly achievement with the “due to botting, extended unattended play, using macros, or similar behavior" prompt.

I am posting on behalf of FrenzyCat.9614 [ Incident/Reference #130208-000716 ]

He plays this game a ton and has never used illegal or third party programs, has never used botting programs, and has always been a stand up guy always able to help out. He was playing the game interacting with other gamers when he was disconnected and then permanently banned.

He put his ticket in February 8th and has yet to get to get anything other than having his ticket marked as a “Duplicate” (not sure what that means). He also updated it recently making whoever is reviewing the ticket aware that he uses his Razer Naga mouse for keybinds but has never hacked, used a bot program, or anything similar.

His mouse keybinds are: Mouse Key 5 is the dodge roll key.
Mouse Key 4 is the Push to talk key for Ventrilo.

He is very upset about this ban and would like nothing more than to be able to play the game he loves and has put 1000+ hours into. The guild and I would love if you can take a look at his ticket and get him back into the game he loves.

I don’t know if it is the right topic to put my problem in. Had a blocked account, flagged as a fraudulent charge and so on blah blah. Long story short i have new code, and Suzanne from NCsoft Payment support wrote: “At this time, we have reviewed your account and have decided to release the account to you. The serial code has been permanently disabled as a result of the purchase using a fraudulent credit or debit card or stolen PayPal account.” and “In order to regain access to the game, you must re-purchase Guild Wars 2 again and apply a new, valid code to your account.” So as far as i understand i should be able to add new code to my existing account. Thing is i don’t see this option anywhere in account management. Am i looking for right thing, or should i register this code as new one, just insert my old account data? Thanks in advance!

You should be able to access the character and change the name. In fact, you should be required to do that. You will not get flagged again because you won’t be entering the game until the name is changed to an acceptable name.

this is wrong, you need to look into this alittle further.

I play with this guy daily, and he does not hack… he lags out alot (and we all get to hear about it on vent), but otherwize it would be nice if you elaborate alitte on how you came to the conclusion that he was hacking… he hardly wvw’s, doesn’t have a legendary, and dies pretty regularly on our dungeon runs.

Please let us know what’s up, or at least let him know… we have a guild waiting for our officer to come back.

Your friend should continue the discussion in his ticket. Certainly the agent can take another look at the data, and if there was an error the account will be reinstated. I feel that would be the best route, rather than us discussing the nuts ‘n’ bolts here. Thanks for understanding.

my account was hacked 10 days ago and banned for charge backs a visa was used on the account (not mine) and purchases were made and the hacker bought gems with a stolen visa and tranfered them to gold then took them i was on a vacation for 2 weeks (please note that my Email was hacked also) i managed to get my email back and loged my account 1 day before i got banned i saw i got 0 gem and all my gold is gone i changed my password . i bought this account just to post this here i really want my account back please help

Can anybody please solve this problem for me ? 3 months ago i got this problem 45:6:3:2114 not allowing me to play the game anymore so got frustrated and went back to plating world of warcraft, now that i want to play GW2 again i find that my account is still frozen, so i need help with this issue. Kindly note that the ip addresses in Lebanon are not very well organised and i play the game with my brother in the same house and my cousin is my neighboor and i believe that ips are getting mixed up. Any solution please before getting frustrated again and moving back to wow ?

What the hell i just found an authorization for those 2 ip adresses in the list, I’ve never even been to the US nor GB: please check this error for me, i wont delete the authorization in order for support to check them;

I am posting on behalf for my friends that got terminated permanently for receiving gold and sending gold to friends.

Dear Moderators, I am extremely disappointed and upset that me and my brother in law’s accounts have been permanently terminated. They said that we are selling or buying gold services that we DID NOT engaged in. I’ve send a couple of tickets but was determined as duplicate. The incident goes like this when our friend, IGN: Butcher Bill Email (williesmith151.live.co.uk) was about to go on a holiday. And so, he sent us gold to aid us in leveling since we are new players. PLEASE check the ip address as the 3 of us were playing the game in the SAME bedroom. We are doing this transaction as a friend , not some people that sells gold services. I did told him in not to send that amount of gold as it was a exaggerating amount but he refuses and insist on sending us the gold and he did inform us to give him back the rest of the gold that we didn’t use once he gets back from the States. And so he sent to my brother inlaw (Bla Bla Black Sheep) and subsequently my brother in law sent a part of the money to me. PLEASE check the game loggers, Me and my brother in law ( Bla Bla Black Sheep) had traded weapons and money in the past. We are RELATIVES. And the rest of the gold are in our banks. Please give us back our accounts as this meant a lot to us. We have spent so much money to buy this game and we got cut off just like that. Please help us! Thank you so much. To add on, smith was more than a friend, we were childhood brothers and we were extremely close to each other and that is why he sent that amount of gold to us. It was done among CLOSE FRIEND and RELATIVES. No real world money was used. It was a friend THING! Please understand our desperate situation here. Thank You So much. I hope a satisfactory action will be done as we paid SGD $74 for the game and am impressed with the game experience till now as there are limits to being prudent.

This is the followup for the previous post. Smith has changed his email because he suspected that his account was compromised. He’ll be submitting a support ticket later. I’ll be posting the tickets here along the the other two later on. Please re evaluate this incident. Thank you.

My friends account was banned and a gm reviewed it and said that it would be restored.
After viewing the ticket he went to login and cannot access anything.
When he tries to login to the game it is still showing him as banned.

Submitted my ticket 21.2 and haven’t heard anything new about my ticket in a week submitted ticket after the first contact from support. Would like know if anything has been done or what might be the problem.
