I have an issue that, somehow, has translated into multiple tickets from my replying to the support team to ask for an update, when apparently they had already closed the tickets without the issues being resolved. I posted in the Bug forum with the entire scope of my issue before I knew about this thread, so for detailed information (complete with screenshots) about my issue and the continued frustration I’ve had trying to get it fixed, click here.

A recap of the issues that have occurred since support changed my display name:

  1. Display name still shows my real name periodically in the contacts and guild windows
  2. Users continue to have difficulty sending me mail
  3. Cannot receive gifted items from the gem store

After been a player since pre launch. more then 5.5k playing hours. Loads of gold wvw rank 1056 i basicly had it all i got banned one day, submitted a ticket and got 1 standard mail back :

The account you have contacted us about has been permanently closed because it was involved in the use of an illegal third-party program. I want you to know that we take great care when analyzing accounts prior to termination. We are both diligent and conservative in determining which accounts are using programs of this type, and we terminate an account only after we are certain that such use has occurred.

I don’t agree with this cause i would never ever use any illegal program not belonging to guildwars: I was in no need for gold or whatsoever why would i risk a nice account like that.
After 3 mails at my end, i finaly got a respond back standard answer number 3 :
The decision to terminate the account is final. The details that lead to the termination of the account were thoroughly reviewed by our team prior to taking action, and we maintain absolute confidence in our conclusion.
The account will remain permanently closed and will not be eligible for reactivation under any circumstances..
I mean how cold and superior can u be as a company not even willing to listen to any arguments that can be given. No explenation no details on what or how. I mean i have no personal interest on “gaining” more gold or whatever. Sad part is that day is just crafted eternity ready to sell.
And today i recieved a mail :

Friend of mine is struggling since last week Thursday to log in and logged support ticket on 3 October.
He tried to reset his password but get a message that his serial number is invalid.
Ticket number 939348 with account name Milamber.2640.
Look like he has been hacked as it shows that he logged in since he had problems without it being him logged in.

I am posting for my boyfriend, ticket number 938833.

His account was suspended for “unacceptable behavior”, to which we have no idea why. This was over 72 hours ago, and he has gotten two generic emails as to escalation and further review, but no information has been given to why he was suspended or for how long.

Hi,

My friend submitted two tickets on Wednesday concerning the security of his account. The reason for me posting this is that he is unable to post on the forums due to his key being used on a different account. He hasn’t played in well over a year and he came back to his account being blocked due to unacceptable behaviour, however, the last time he had logged in there were no such issues.

The two tickets that were submitted were put in four days ago, one addressed the blocked account and the other was about the security of the account as he cannot access the forums due to the account not having “access” to guildwars. He has played the game since beta and is hoping to get the problem resolved as he is very much looking forward to playing.

I’m posting this by the name of my friend – this is what he said.

My account was blocked for six days and then terminated for using third- party programs. I tried to defend myself but i got only generic answers. I didn’t use any third-party programs, i haven’t installed any new software in a while and i am the only person playing with this account. So i am quite positive that i didn’t do anything wrong. I have been in the game for over 2 years and i never had any sort of issues i have never been involved in any warning/ account suspensions. I just want to add that i have over 16 000 achievement points, wvw rank 1440 and over 7000 hours across all characters. There is no reason to risk my account.
I will offer my full support in identifying the possible cause of this and hopefully help to prevent this from happening to other innocent players. I just plead for another review of my case and i am ready to cooperate.

I am posting on behalf of my brother, his ticket # is 951606.. His account email was changed by cs a few weeks ago and he got his account back. Then a few days ago cs changed his email again on him, and he still hasn’t heard back. His email wasn’t compromised, because it says who has logged in and what ip they are from. He put a new password on his account, that the hacker couldn’t have known. Thanks.
