My friend’s account was hacked on 07/09/2012. He submitted a ticket (120907-006605), but has not had his issue resolved yet.
This is doubly frustrating as the latest news is that these tickets should have been prioritised and addressed within 48hrs. He would greatly appreciate it if you would address this as soon as possible.

You know, after reading all of this, it make you just want to… well many unmentionable things.
I have just put in my ticket on Saturday morning (9/08) for a hacked account, and I am now sure, more than ever, it will be a week+ before I get to control of my account, not to mention that I am afraid it could be banned for in-game sales. You think they would fix both at the same time.
I did manage to get into my GW1 account, because PlayNC shows the hackers email associated with both accounts and allows you to change GW1’s password right from there. I have transferred most of my gold/goods to my bf’s and son’s accounts just to protect that acct to the extent that I can.
I just don’t understand and would like ANet to answer… why more protection was not implemented when ANet knew there would be a full on assault of their new game from China. If I create a new account using a new serial number, logon, and password they should not allow any of it to be changed without confirmation from the existing email (or cell text).
I would also like to know… Why would ANet even allow the logon to be changed? GW1 wouldn’t (prior to GW2 and trust me I know), yet according to PlayNC my new user name for GW1 is xmrmgpnh689…..com. That is not me nor any of my hotmail accounts, so how and why was it allowed to be change?
Well, I am currently having to use my son’s account to post this, because the forums only want registered users to post and some of us can’t because of the hack… (this should be fixed for us hacked ppl). My Tran Cea character is currently online and has been moved to a European server, I know this because of the contact link between my char and my son’s… and I feel totally frustrated with ANet and totally violated by the hacker. What a way to start off a brand new MMO that you have been waiting 4+/- years to play.
So good luck to those of us who have to endure this torturous wait only to be left with a feeling of overall mistrust for game developers and hackers.

Right now someone had finally logged in today and changed his server and is on his toon atm. Very distressed as since the incident was reported no one had logged in to his account and finally they have, and are messing his account up. I hope you can help us soon. Our family purchased 6 accounts and this is very disheartening and ruining what we have felt up to now was a great product.

My Wife’s account was stolen on 9/5 and we created a ticket with the appropriate information. So far the only response has been a link to a password reset which CLEARLY will not work because, as stated in the ticket, the e-mail for the account has been changed

I put in a ticket 5 or 6 days ago and still no resolve. I included my details serial # e-mail account, in game user ID etc in the original ticket.
Dont even know what happened. First I got a message saying perma ban, know the message says my account was supsended for possible security breach or something. All I know is I want to get bakc in the game, and I definately didnt do anything wrong to get banned.

My issue is I cannot receive any in game mail from players and my Black Lion Merchant purchases never show up in my email either.

Gaile I normally avoid posting in two threads however it would seem my 1+ month old ticket on account payment issues (gem store) has not received the email you described yesterday. Ticket 120809-002854.

the account of our guildleader was stolen almost 2 weeks ago on september the first. Till now he is not able to log in and play again.

I emailed on 8/31 and I still can not access my pre-purchase headstart account because the upgrade was not specified on how to upgrade with the original key! I now have a new account with no characters and no friends list and the person will not link my accounts so I can access my friends my days of work level 24 Ranger! I have even gone so far as to about to file a complaint with the BBB yet the idiot will not aknowledge the problem and refuses to read my ticket at all! Told me to buy a new account! WTF????

Ok, so here is the case of my brother who could regularly play with me from 3 day head-start and on one day, when he wanted to play again, he couldn’t login into game with those errors: 122:4:5:1270, 21:6:3:2114.
He opened his ticket on 09/06/2012 although problem occurred day before (he was waiting because as we may all know, there were constantly some problems). There was even answer to his issue but it was only auto-response which didn’t help him – he couldn’t disable auth because there was some error on recovery page after submiting.So right now he can’t play. I can’t play with him. And there was no help from support (I won’t count “bots” as help because what they say can be found on support page or wiki).
