2handed wepons clipping characters!
Indeed, found out about it as well, and my character also has a stupid smile when running too.
Just revert back to the previous running animation anet, it was better looking.

I’ve sent a report in-game with a link to your video. Hopefully this is trivial to patch as it looks horrendous.
I’ve been experiencing this with the new animations too. In addition, doing 100 Blades triggers the weapon spazzing out, too.
Also, I recommend a change of thread-title to make it more apparent what the topic is, due to it affecting any 2-handed weapon.
Edit: Thanks for adding the changed title~. Am surprised to not be seeing more threads about it, but then again there’s a lot of critical things going on with dungeons.

During the new running animation, now staves also clip VERY badly through almost every armor I could try on (see attachment).
Issue observed on female human characters since last patch.
It might be just me, but male humans also seem to run awkwardly and a bit unnaturally now.
I think a rollback should be considered, expecially since this apparently minor change seems to break way more than it fixes.
It looks like all 2 handed weapons have been repositioned on the character. My 2-h hammer and staff on my human female guardian sits really odd on her back like it is way too far over on the left hand side like they are attached to the shoulderblade.
They also seem (mostly hammer) seem to rotate towards the front of the character as you run which is real unusual.
I guess I could live with some odd placements. But yeah, jumping to have my weapon spazz out is just what is the most out of hand.
I do like the new running animation, but with kitten y smiles, jumping bugs, clipping, and rotating hammers it’s just not worth it. Particularly the jump thing just drives me nuts though, as a lover of pressing my spacebar often.

I wonder why this hasn’t received more attention by now. Currently it is impossible to use a staff or any other 2 hand weapon without serious clipping or positioning issues when moving out of combat. See attached screenshots for details. I am using different staffs and pants and it is obvious that the issues are not limited to certain skins
Noticed on female guardian… greatsword.
Columbo has the cute Canthan elementalist (default character design).
That clipping is nastier than the GS though.
In the main discussion thread somebody has posted a video that shows the bugged staff animation very well.
Kasmeer’s retractable staff – way shorter than any other skin available in game – is currently the one and only not piercing my Ele’s butt.

Why’d they change the animation anyway?
Since these animation changes, my female ranger’s swoop animation is getting stuck occasionally. And the only way to get it “unstuck” is to leave the map. Very annoying!!! And having to leave maps with queues sometimes several hours long really sucks!
This is just like the WvW blue color map change. Why in the hell would you kitten with it? It was fine and now it’s broken.
Nice of you to fix the bug Anet, but you’re still using the “new” running animation. Please revert back to the old one, the actual one is such an inferior version visually.
