Hello,

I’m at 998/1000 on this achievement and my wife is at 970/1000 and we worked tonight to try and get credit for this and we got several combos, but not one of them gave any credit to the achievement.

Test 1: She used Lava Font, I used Bull Rush — Result: Damage to enemy and fire shield buff — no credit

Test 2: She used Lava Fon, I used Stomp — Result: Damage to enemy and might buff — no credit

Test 3: I used Bow with flame arrow (F1) and she used Arcane Burst — Result: Damage to enemies a might buff, but no credit.

I confirmed in combat long that the combo was the source of death a few times, we also heard the hero’s verbal boast when the buff would go off or the damage would happen.

I’m lost how to get the achievement to go up the last few points.

I have experienced the same issue. Was stuck at 991/1,000 then ran CoF exp P1 with some guildmates an was somehow able to get to 992/1,000.

I then spent 20 minutes in Queensdale with a guardian (from my guild) trying to get those last 8 combos, but was unsuccessful no matter how many different ways we tried.
-In Party w/ ally: Laid combo field myself, guardian used combo finisher to Damage mob
-In Party w/ ally: Guardian laid combo field, used combo finisher myself to Damage mob
-In Party w/ ally: Laid combo field myself, guardian used combo finisher to Kill mob
-In Party w/ ally: Guardian laid combo field, used combo finisher myself to Kill mob
-Out of Party w/ ally: Laid combo field myself, guardian used combo finisher to kill mob
-Out of Party w/ ally: Guardian laid combo field, used combo finisher myself to kill mob

None of these methods seemed to work. My character is a Slyvari Mesmer, though I would not imagine that my character’s profession would have anything to do with it.

I hope this bug gets fixed soon (July 23rd maybe?) so that I can snag the final tier of that achievement chain.

Or maybe, ANet, could you release a list of combos that DO count towards the achievement? Because many successful combos (I get textual, visual and audio confirmation that the combo worked) do not count towards the achievement.

So either it is simply broken, or we don’t understand what the actual requirements are.

Please clear it up for me so I know what to do.

Pixelpumpkin is right, most combos simply don’t count for some reason. I got mine solelyby using necro wells I believe. Try different professions, and the stick with what works (or keep looking for something even quicker if you choose).
