This quest is also bugged like this on the Tarnished Coast server as is the Pirate skill point challenge in the same zone.
I hope they fix these soon.

Ehmery Bay, NA server, also has this problem as of today.

Still broken on Sorrows Furnace. Shows 2/3 killed and all are green.

Gunnar’s Hold (EU) has been bugged for a while. shows 2/3 killed, but all green and swimming around. Wish this would be fixed soon.

Can confirm. Ancient shark swims in circles and is inactive.

Same on Gandara…
I’d really appreciate if you fixed it soon because it’s the last thing I need to do on the map…

Hi, yes i’ve descend the cavern and then i kill it, but he was stucked in the rock, and i have pull him only with an area skill..

“Ancient Shark Pistrix” still bugged on Crystal Desert.

Bugged on Jade Quarry. Please manually reset it or something, this is incredibly irritating.

Bugged on Stormbluff Isle.

Ancient sharks are stuck in the ceiling of the cave can this be despawned so we can complete sparkfly fen please

Bugged on Anvil Rock

This is still bugged on Desolation, keep trying every day, and can not complete. Same with the Hylek at Matrica Province, 7 days now and is still bugged, cant complete map at all.
Please can this be fixed, thank you.

i second this bug… all the sharks are green and the event has 3/3 sharks left in orange. please fix.

Bugged every time I check it… does it ever reset..is there a chance to get this on other servers etc?

Still bugged after the recent patch. Partially completed, yet all sharks are “green to me.”

Stormbluff Isle server

The Skill Point Challenge at Stone of Hazaan (3 sharks) in Sparkfly Fen will not initiate. This has been a continuous problem.

Please fix, this is all I need to complete the area.

I also checked this skill challenge this morning it is still bugged. Rumor has it that it was not bugged directly after reset but none the less it is now.

im on Tarnished Coast and right after the first build last night this was working i was able to finish my map. so it did reset on my server at least for a short time idk if its back to being bugged now or not. really hope they can just fix all there events already i get that theres so many but when it just keeps bugging over and over ; ; oh well need to find next skill point to camp during next update.

Was reset yesterday did not get to it, bugged today on Stormbluff Isle again. Needs fixed, this has gone on for over a week for me and preventing me from finishing this zone.

Title says all. This SP quest is bugged.

Yup still broken for some time for me too – the shark remains in the rock for me ..

Plus the cannon vista in Disseau Plateau .. these two are keeping me from 100% map completion, sigh

Skill Point: Defeat the Ancient Sharks
Area: Sparkfly Fen
Server: Henge of Denravi

This skill point is currently bugged. Ancient Shark Pistrix + 3 mobs for the skill challenge do not turn hostile when approached, and the status is stuck at Brood Killed 2/3.

Interestingly enough it works on the Mac client. It was bugged for me on the Windows client, so I switched over to the Mac one and it was perfectly fine.

i thought it was bugged too – we found one of the small shark extras swimming around at the end of the lake – have a look and make sure one of the little sharks hasnt swam off somewhere

Bugged on Tarnished Coast at the moment.

I believe it’s almost always caused by one of the smaller brood sharks disappearing – either by getting stuck in the wall, or by somehow travelling beyond the limits of the event. Since usually when it is bugged, the event status has Pistrix at 0 health and 2/3 brood killed.

Furthermore: the area has a few holes in its wire-frame that allow for passing behind the walls of the underwater cave. So I’m not surprised one of the sharks goes missing fairly often. Will report that separately!

The “Skill challenge : Defeat the ancient sharks” in Sparkfly fin has been bugged for a day & a half, dozens of people stuck at 98% zone completion while these sharks are humping each-other T-T.

Still bugged on Sefarer’s Rest. Common Arena Net do something about it ……

This is still broke on Blackgate server also…. Green Sharks and one of them is stuck. Frustrating….

Broken in sea of Sorrows I made a bug report in game. Please fix asap!

there is a way to get it to un bug!!!! I just did it ! you have to attack the sharks from the land to reset the one bugged one!! sit in the corner of the rocks but standing a bit on land and in the water.. attack with massive aoe dmg and it will reset!!!!

Nvm i was able to kinda “de-bugg” him (used my warrior’s fear to glitch him out of the wall for everyone but idk if he is gunna be bugged again might wanna check on it a net n_n

the shark skillpoint in Sparkfly fen is bugged now for some time, i’m sure there will be allready a post about this topic but since i couldn’t find it using the search function I made a new one. Those sharks should be in the water but i can’t see any of them. This only seems to happen in the Desolation server, because i did see those sharks on other servers. I hope u guys can fix this, its the only thing i need for world completion.

And again this skillpoint is bugged. FIX IT PLEASE

Not sure if it’s the same bug but on DarkHaven server the sharks are green and non-hostile so you can’t kill them. Is there something you have to do to turn them hostile?
