3 days ago, the sharks were red and bugged in the rocks beneath the surface , now they are green and got stuck in the rocks above the surface. So yes.

just to let you know that the skill challenge is bugged – 2/3 sharks killed 2 are green the 3rd is nowhere to be found
lets hope we dont have to wait for the nov update for a bug fix, you dont have to shut servers to implement bug fixes- so we should be getting (near) daily bug fixes- NOT NEW CONTENT

On IOJ, the shark skillpoint in sparkfly fen is bugged. The sharks are green and players cannot attack them.

On a personal note, this is the last thing i need for map completion

sharks on yaks bend are up on land, beached.

Our group did this skill pint just the other day. Worked ok, and once we got the skill point, the sharks did turn green. I did not see a problem with any of our group not getting it.

But odd thing is there were 2 sharks laying on the rocks just before we jumped down to the skill point.

It seems there is a bug with the shark skill point at stone of hazaan where all sharks seem friendly and you cant speak to the skill point shark or attack any of them. Please fix.

Please fix.. it’s been like this for at least 4 days. Stopping 100% completion of Sparkfly Fen.

I’m on Crystal Desert and am encountering this problem too.

Perhaps the moderator can merge these threads as they are about the same skill pint bug.

The skillpoint in Desolation server @ Sparkfly Den Map @ Stone of Hazaan Point of intrest does nothing.

Its a shark that suppose to do Skillpoint.

Please can you fix it, im almost full world completion and this one is my last SP.

Today the issue is still here in the Desolation server, i will be doing something else thats ok. But can you give a time estimate when the team looks at it or something? So i dont have to check everyday, like a day or a week or month? thanks

The Ancient Shark Skill Challenges has me listed as defeating 2/3 of the brood for the ancient shark skill challenge, what is this all about? If I am not mistaken skill challenges are reset until you complete it. The sharks are green and can’t be attacked or intiate any action. Its been like this quite a few months.

… On Desolation all sharks are currently friendly.

Bugged for me right now on Eredon Terrace, same as described above.

Bugged on Sorrow’s Furnace. Same problem as everyone is reporting.

Still not working. I tried earlier today and then after the 7PM EST daily reset.

I’m currently at the skill point challenge in the Blackgate server and I’m having the same problems described by everyone else, except no sharks are stuck in the walls

Ye its not stucked in the wall, the big shark with the SP just swims around with 2 juvenile sharks and 1 juvenile just ‘sits’ around and does not move.

Wow it’s been two months and this is still bugged? I am starting to think that either Anet does not know how to fix bugs or they simply don’t care about the state of the game.
It still feels like a beta game to me.

Bugged @ Blackgate

ON whiteside ridge server, challenge shows 2/3 brood defeated and Ancient shar too, but the screenshot I took shows three brood AND the ancient shark, with a juvenile in the room before…

Strange though.. it WAS red the last two times I entered the room – over halloween. Soon as you enter they go red. Now, its stopped….

Is there another trigger event that makes them go red?

Wasn’t working for me last night or today, Tarnished Coast Server. Last point for me for map completion. Course I’m still waiting on The Hatchery to be fixed as well, but I’m already Level 80 so it doesn’t really matter.

it is shameful that after months that problem is still there. i just cant believe devs are ignoring the problem. actually, there are a lot of bugged quests. yesterday i found a bugged heart which i had to find the one and only ghost not glitched to complete it. today, another major glitch. come on, we gave you money, now fix the game.

I notice this was first reported over 2 months ago, and the issue is still there…… Given how I am unable to progress with my story (thanks to another bug which has also been awaiting a fix for over a month) Its especially frustrating not to be able to get area completion here…

There were multiple bugged events in the area I was in before this, too…. Its a pretty kitten piss poor show from ANet. This is the first, and will certainly be the last, time I buy anything from them. Its a great game, but with utterly abysmal support.

Having the same issue on Stormbluff Isle currently.

Nah. Still bugged. And actually, extra so. See screen: You might want to seal (at least one of) those openings. I swam into it and got stuck on the backside of the rock objects.

On Stormbluff Isle these sharks have started a rebellion which I soon fear it shall spread and we’ll have an epidemic of flying sharks.

But at least the skill point was doable, even with the boss halfway in a rock.

all in the title: Pistrix skill point in Sparkfly Fen still bugged after 1 month of bug report.

If legendary is a part of the end-game, make it reachable, because of 1 SP i cannot compete my world competion.

Currently the titled skill challenge in Sparkfly Fen ( Sea of Sorrows World) is bugged. Shows the mobs as spawned but not actually there, currently blocking map completion.

Additional info: Near Stone of Hazaan (Sparkly Fen), the sharks are beached, killed them but no reward.

Are you sure you are in the right place, down the steps and down into the water in the middle of the island? I went down there and found the ancient sharks but they refused to fight. I tried it several times and after a couple of days, having left the region and returned a few times, it worked.

I can confirm this also, after defeating the three sharks the quest only shows credit for two.

-Update: while posting this and alt-tabbed out of game, somehow I go credit for the quest. My guess is another player must have started/attempted it.

My group and I got lucky and fought Pistrix after the bug had been fixed last night. I left my character near the area and logged, but when I came back this morning Pistrix was, once again, out of the water and stuck in a rock. My guess is some players may be trying to pull the shark out of the cave to fight it and then it can’t get back in, so it becomes bugged constantly.

was still bugged on devona’s rest, as you come through the hole into the big area on the left side of the roof i found an opening where i was able to swim up to and kill the shark and got the point. Just move around the left side of the roof where it meets the wall and keep hitting tab until while you move around and eventually you’ll target him and kill him. if it says obstructed just keep moving around.

I’m having this issue too – it says 2/3 of the brood has been killed, but “Ancient Shark Pistrix” is currently shown as an ally with a green health bar.

Bugged as of today on Stormbluff Isle. Same as what everyone has been saying: says it’s 2/3 complete, all sharks are friendly.
