The Shark Skill point in Sparkfly Fen at the Stone of Hazaan!

Please fix!

This is on Crystal Desert.

Bugged for me too. Yak’s Bend world.

I am on the Stormbluff Isle server and the skill challenge on Spaekfly Fen is gltiched. It is the challenge where you must defeat the Shark and it’s two broods. I am not sure if one of the sharks got stuck in a wall or what. It shows up as an event when you get there. However, you cannot do anything but swim with harmless sharks. possibly it needs reset?

Please look into this. Been Bugged for over a month.

I was able to complete this on Aurora Glade, because the shark was stuck on land. With hilarious results. Made him easy to defeat though. Definitely could use some attention.

Well seems it is on multiple servers then. It’s still not fixed. I feel like reporting a bug is useless anyway. I honestly feel like they just ignore it.

Hmm I keep seeing posts about this , but they still haven’t fixed it. Would be nice.

Third day in a row on Jade Quarry the Ancient Shark skill point has been broken by sharks being pushed outside the walls. I believe it would be from people using knockbacks / pushes on the sharks during combat if you want to try reproducing it.

It was a Mesmer that did it if that helps narrowing down the skill set that might have caused it.

Can you please look at fixing this? I will probably complete the skill point before you can fix it so maybe this post will help someone else in the future.

It’s not necessarily player skills causing it; I’ve seen them just swim through their pit’s walls to chase fleeing players. On one occasion they somehow glitched onto the rocks and got stuck, except one of them was missing so it was impossible to finish the skill point for a while.

Similar underwater mob pathing glitches can be seen in the Vigil mission where you end up swimming in the LA sewers.

same problem on Aurora Glade, sharks freguently going to rock but only sometimes back

i figured out that in cave u can swim through smal hole behind the texture so whole cave is some kind of disturbed

Blackgate server. All sharks are friendly. Also I got stuck between the texture walls.

No third shark to be found.

I have also come across this bug the shark name is “Ancient Shar Pistrix” it also says that their is 2/3 of the brood killed. Although no one in the area has killed any. All sharks are static and not moving.

just want to check that both you guys actually went underwater through the little opening a bit inland from where the actual icon is, since you have to go through it to get to where they are at underneath the rocks and what not.

They are beached on the surface. 2/3 brood. Green non-hostile.

Bugged @ Yak’s Bend too. 3/3 killed and still green shark circling around with its buddies.

Still bugged at Northern Shiverpeaks. The sharks aren’t there. They are invisible or bugged, I don’t know. Can you fix it please?

Yes Majahretdiviera, The sharks themselves are “green” and do not attack.

If any admin could look into this as it’s been 3 days for me and others are reporting a longer time.

Bugged @ Fort Aspenwood. In Sparkly fen, all the sharks are Juvenile.

Edit – The SP got fixed somehow and it worked. All the 4 sharks were present, though one was over the land. And i waited to see if its still working after getting the skill point. For now the sharks are aggro’ing, so the skill point is acquirable atm in Aspenwood.

He was bugged on Sanctum of Rall, fixed in a patch, then quickly bugged again. I happened to be near enough that I got the point on the alt that needed it before it was bugged again, but the guy asking for help after me didn’t get it (I think he was the one that bugged it).

Here’s my suspicion for what is happening: people that go down and slaughter him in his den get the point. People that go down and then flee to the surface bug him. I’ve seen him floating in the air above his entry pond a number of times, including just a few minutes after I killed him (shortly after another player asked for help on the fight).

Also, just in general, sharks seem to get stuck in walls extremely often. Every single instance I’ve run the personal story quest in the underwater temple, at least one shark gets stuck in the wall. It’s never been a problem for me, but it does make it very easy to kill them when they can’t fight back.

It is still bugged for me as well on Yak’s Bend server its all i need to complete the map and I am getting very annoyed that I can’t complete it.

The ancient shark for the skill quest in the middle of the map is friendly, and won’t reset.

This is the only thing I have blocking my map completion in that area, which is extremely frustrating!

Yep I was going to open a tread about it and my case is worst.

The skill point by the poi “Shrine of Usharr” in “Sparkly Fen” area has been glichted for over a week now, thats since I’ve been checking it could be more. Im stuck on 99% map completation missing only that skill point for that long, already sent report twice and nothing.

Please fix it!

I’ll third this topic. I’m on the Far Shiverpeaks server and this Skill Quest has been bugged for days in a row :s Also stuck on 99% map completion in this area. Pretty frustrating.

Also bugged on Tarnished Coast. The fact that the sharks are flagged as “friendly” isn’t nearly as disorienting (or hilarious) as the fact that they’re hovering just above the shoreline rocks, making “swimming” sound effects. Perhaps they’re confused by their sudden evolution into amphibious lifeforms.

The quest is bugged on Fissure of Woe, the shark is on land instead of in the cave down in the water.

Its bugged on Aurora Glade as well, its the only thing I need for my 100% world completion :/

This challenge is bugged on the Eredon Terrace server. The sharks are just not showing up.

This Skill Challenge is still bugged on the Borlis Pass server.

One day later and the skill point is still bugged.

I submitted a screenshot bug report yesterday ingame.

I don’t think a description is much neccessary, other than me stating the zone and general area… Really speaks for it self.
