Guild Wars 2

So I tried to send someone on my friends list a whisper and the chat box will not for the life of me come up with their name to whisper. Then I tried /w and their name and I could get the box to come up with their name but it won’t send them a whisper. Someone in my guild then whispers me and I’m able to respond to them in a whisper which I find odd. I can also click on players named in the chat window and send them a whisper after that. But for some reason this feature is half broken for me. I found a command line that would verify my game files and it didn’t find anything to repair. I’m at a loss of what I can do now.

pretty sure its not a bug. have you checked if that person had invis status on or maybe they added u to their blocks list?

I’m fairly certain that the player in question wouldn’t have blocked me. They were also clearly online with a green bubble next to their name.

After logging out and back in really quickly I was able to send them a whisper. But after a few minutes the game breaks again and I can’t send anyone else a whisper.

But they patched and it fixed it for most of us. I’d suggest putting in a support ticket.

The fact that it works for some and not others makes me believe that it is indeed a block though. Your friend could have done it by accident. Have someone else try to whisper them. If it works for them, then yeah it’s a block.

I have determined that my issue must be a server side issue. After disconnecting and re-logging I can usually message someone immediately. However like I stated before this will usually break and when I right click it doesn’t respond. I wait though for a few more minutes and the chat window cycled through everyone I was trying to message. Not sure why it would lag out like that.

I’ll look into creating a ticket for this in the near future.

Still having an issue getting my game client to recognize that I’m trying to whisper another player.

At this same time my guild history won’t sync with the servers. I can’t see if someone is getting invited or leaving the guild…

I am currently talking to others over TS3 that are having the same issue. One guy can’t even get the game to recognize that he would like to talk in guild chat, and yes before anyone asks he was repping the guild he was trying to talk in.
