With today’s patch, I can no longer dye the dagger on my Order of Whispers medium boots. The dagger is now bright red. Is this an intended change? I ask that it please be reverted to its previous dye palate. Not being able to dye the coolest part of the armor is a major turnoff.

its not just boots, pants and shoulderpads have undyeable parts now too….

Same thing with the order of whispers coat, it has 3 dye slots instead of 4, leaving a red line

It’s not just the boots, it’s the coat and pants as well. I suspect other pieces from the medium Whispers armor as well. Please fix this. I’m on Devana’s Rest server. Female Sylvari Ranger.

Yep I got that bug with my Whisper’s coat after the patch too. Hopefully they fix it soon so I can use my chest piece again! :P

then did this update mess up the colors? i have transmuted whispers armor for months and this is the first time something like this happened to it.

I just posted this as a bug in game. Now my stylish purple and formerly gold boots are purple with two hideous lipstick red daggers stuck on them. No mention of a change to the Whispers armor set in the patch notes so I assume (hope) that it’s a bug that the options to dye this part of this set was removed. If not, then I would like a replacement fine transfusion stone since I used one to get the look of these boots in the first place but they look like I’m wearing red crayons on my boots now.

When I notice it happens with me, I click “Revert Changes” and exit out of the player screen. Then opening it and trying again makes it work for me. Don’t know if it’ll work for you though.

On my order of whisper medium boots and pants I’m having the same problem with this patch. I removed one of the color options and now what was silver is this bright cherry red that does not go with the color scheme I had. This wasn’t a problem before the patch because it wasn’t there and I transmuted them before. Fix this asap please.

Yea this what this did was remove all together one of the color option where as my medium Order of Whisper boots and pants before as three color options they now only have two. This has nothing to do with transmuting the armor what happened was some how in the patch some of the color options where removed completely. Fix this please.

And not only coat has irrepreplacable red trim, but shoulderpads too.

This isn’t a transmuted gear bug, this is something that changed in the patch. One of the dye slots that we used to have on these items has been removed and the part of the armor that you can no longer dye is a trampy ‘hooker red’ color.

Same thing happened to my armor.

Nothing in the dye panels show red. So this is some bull that Anet needs to fix.

This also occurred on my Charr Warrior with the heritage chest piece.

Dye it OUR way is the way it’s meant to be and not this rubbish.

Same here, I hope this gets fixed soon as I just got the armor like a week ago and now I have bright red daggers on it that I cannot change now….

If a panel which you once could dye is gone, then it’s a probably a different glitch. Only way to tell if it’s related to being trans’ed is if someone buys a whole new set that isn’t altered.

i just went and previewed the armor right from the vendor it appears to work fine.

to the people with the problem have you tried previewing the armor at the merchant?

I have never transmuted anything in this game and I have this glitch.

Same bug here (medium whisper boots). I cannot edit anymore the color of the little dagger and its color is defaulted to bright red. Was fine a few hours ago just before patch.

This is a bug in the patch that some of these color options in the Order of Whispers medium armor set have been removed, not an intended change. I know this because there is nothing in the patch notes about any of the Order of Whisper armor sets, and because the color wouldn’t default to this cherry (or as it has been put hooker) red color. This isn’t something intended by Area Net and therefore is a bug that needs to be fixed. This red really looks stupid please fix this.

Just previewed the armor at the merchant and the red still shows up.

I even see the bug on the npcs in the Order of Whispers headquarters, and the default color for this (on my medium boots and pants) was gold not red.

It looks like this might be a ‘race’ issue if charr are unaffected.

it’s not only the boots, also clothes. The whole whisper’s set messed up.

that might be it, my moms human toon has this problem but none of my characters do ( all are charr).

Anyone have a recent picture with the asuran models by any chance?

Reports on reddit is that this is also happening to a few other pieces of armor also, the Charr Heritage Warplate chest piece has been mentioned.

Since the patch some dye slots on the Order of Whispers medium armour have apparently disappeared, causing a bright red shade to take its place. I noticed this a while ago on my Warrior’s heritage armour too.

You can see the in the attached picture, the blades are bright red.

Order of whispers medium chest and pants have that bug too. But on chest there large areas with that red.

Here it is on heavy heritage.

This happens also on human female default town boots.

My whispers armor is missing a dye slot and what that dye slot governs on the armor shows up red.

My character armor theme is white, blue and, green

I’m having the exact same problem, also with two pieces of Whispers armor. Screen shot attached.

My Order of Whispers medium armor chest and leggings are each missing a dye slot post patch. Before the patch, my chest piece had 4 dye slots and my leggings three. The slots in each that are now missing appear to be bright red (Maybe blood dye?). I tried buying a new Order of Whispers Medium Coat but it was the same (3 slots instead of the original 4). No clue what to do!

Same thing happened to me, missing dye slot and un-dye-able red trim on the Whispers human armor. Glad to know they’re looking into it!

Same thing here (I’m a Sylvari, so this is not a Human problem).

I hope this gets fixed quickly, getting the perfect look for my characters is one of my biggest pleasures in this game.

My coat lost it’s 4th dye slot too!
