Guild Wars 2

When I try to log into my necromancer, the loading bar just keeps going in circles. This occurred directly after the patch on September 18th 2012. Help?

I am having this same issue.

Loading screen at Bloodtide Coast

EDIT : It is working now after my third try. Opened Guild Wars 2 as administrator and it worked, but idk if thats what fixed it or just blind luck

Im having the same issue, my character cannot login, it gets stuck on the loading screen..

Cursed Shore? My other characters load fine, but can’t load Cursed Shore.

I’m in Cursed Shore and having the same issue.

I was fine loading my character in, but when I tried to go to Sparkfly Fen, it got stuck and now it’s just …stuck on the Sparkfly Fen loading page. The circle isn’t even there. It’s just the page.

In Malchor’s Leap on my 80. Cannot log in either, but my other guys can.

Cursed Shore seems broken at the moment. I can log into any character in any location, except the characters that are in Cursed Shore.

Tried 2 of my toons, no luck..does not seem to matter the zone.

I loaded into frost gorge and used a waypoint to travel to malcor’s leap (ironically enough to see if I could get my last SP for the zone) and now I’m stuck in the loading screen…

Just got into Cursed Shore finally.

Same issue here logging into the map Cursed Shore, no issue with my level 4 in the wayfarer foothills though.

Mine is in Straights of Devastation, can load all characters but the one there, its just sits on the loading screen.

One character in Cursed Shore, stuck on loading screen. One in Straits of Devastation, stuck on loading screen also.

I cannot log in on any of my characters.

Uh right after I typed that last post apparently I loaded in but it booted me back to frost gorge

Metrica Province isn’t loading for me

My Necromancer is level 80 and in Rata Suma—I have completed the class quest. Funny thing is I can log on to all my other non-80’s.

update, can get in on all toons now..

Okay the problem has been resolved. It might have just been a flood of people all trying to log in the same place at the same time?

Took a while, but I got in, guess it was a false alarm.

At first I was stuck on loading but trying again worked fine. Must just be the servers being overloaded or something.

Me too, Not sure what was up with that. Once I was in though a black screen hit me as I was playing. Had to close the client and reopen.

I had this problem too in Cursed Shore. I transferred servers and was able to log in.

I’m on this step on my warrior.

But upon running up to the quest/instance starter mark, and pressing enter instance I get the load screen, and then nothing happens.. It just stays there.. And the I get the message after a couple of minutes, that the game client lost the connection…

Anyone have any ideas what is causing this?

Same issue here, logging from two different networks. I’m stuck on the loading screen then the game client loses the connection.

Both networks are fine and both computers too, I never have problems with disconnections (except, obviously, when there are server-side issues).

Network activity during the process is very low, the 2Mbit and 5Mbit connections I use were idle.

Server: Piken Square (EU).

I cant seem to enter Cursed Shore, stuck on loading screen, if i alt-ctrl-delete and logging back (in hopes of returning to Malchors Leap) im back at the loading screen.
Anyone experienced this problem?

I’m on Far Shiverpeaks – and I’m still unable to get in..

I’ve never had problems either, and all connections are working – I can port everywhere else just fine..

Same problem here, tried 3 times, always stuck at loading screen.

Hey Rataxes – I’m having the same issue – other characters can login just fine to different areas but my character in cursed shore is stuck on the load screen too.

Maybe has something to do with patch coming soon?

Yea maybe! The thing is that when i tried earlier to go to Cursed Shore via a waypoint the same thing happend but after a while it said connection error bla bla and i was back in Lions Arch, but this time i went via the area portal from Malchors Leap, and when im logging in now it first loads Malchors Leap and i can for a micro second see my character, but because im at the portal it instantly moves me to cursed shore. Tried to spam the S button to move backwards but with no success.

I also have the same issue. Tried repairing game client, but no dice…

So when is this patch coming that may cause the problem?

Think this happened a few days ago with previous patch. From what i remember the issue was resolved so I reckon it will get fixed – probably after next patch which should be today/tomorrow morning (midnight PDT 24/09/12).

Stuck loading screens can occur after a sudden disconnect. At a command prompt launched as admin type this:
ipconfig /flushdns

Once that’s done, try loading the game then character again.

I have the same problem as stated above, and unfortunately this did not work for me.

So it’s more than a bad dns cache issue it seems, shame. I just entered the zone without issue.

What i can say… I had to leave clearly my char in CS last night :/
