Guild Wars 2

When I try to login from the leadboard page, I get taken to a new logon popup. Entering username and password, I am then redirected to a new Overview page, not the Leaderboard page I want.

If I go back to the leaderboard, I am not logged in there!

Please fix, I am a guild Officer and need the full leaderboard available.

I’m having the same problem. Do you guys test these changes before you release them?? This one is difficult to miss.

yep same problem with all the leaderboards or anything on the website that requires a log in. brings me to account page but then when i go back to website does not register that I have logged in. since they are aware of this issue, hopefully they get it fixed soon.

I tried running Triple Trouble with EVOS and, after an hour of preparation and coordination, with 100+ people in position.. Half of us were kicked out of the server and into another where the event was almost finished.

That is quite frankly.. Bullkitten. I just wasted my night. Apparently this happened the other day too, WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?

Yup, I was there, 2 nights in a row. This is quite frankly, BULLKITTEN Anet. What’s the deal?

We use personalized leaderboards (account based functionality of leaderboards) to check people’s home server in our guild because it allows us to see what server they are on even if they are pretended to be offline or if they actually are offline. At the moment when you click the “Log in to personalize” button it takes you directly to the account home page, if you navigate to the leaderboards from your account page, it tells you to “Log in to personalize” and doesn’t let you select personalized leaderboard stats by guild or friends list. When you click log in, it takes you to your account home page, you don’t even have to log in this time because, hey!, you’re already logged in, the leaderboards just don’t seem to think so. And from your account home page, you navigate to the leaderboards, you still cant personalize them, but you can “Log in to personalize” and when you click there to log in and personalize, you some how magically end up at the account home page.

TL:DR leaderboards aren’t agreeing with your log in system for the personalization system. If leaderboard customization requires an API key, please let the user know instead of taking them on a joy ride through a link loop. If its just broken, please fix the functionality, it would be greatly appreciated.

Since forum log-in update, I am not able to see my leaderboard position anymore. Everytime I go to that section, it asks to me to login to see my personnal stats based on my profile, but when I actually click on it, it redirect me to my https://account.arena.net/overview page instead.

Anyone else, or is it just me? If it is global, can this be fixed? pointless have a leaderboard if you can’t acess your position in there.

I cant access the leaderboards, to look up my pvp-ranking, because the log-in button doesnt count for the leaderboards or rather sends me to my account overview. I hope anybody has an idea to fix this.

How hard is it to think before you act? Move the kitten leaderboards on the arena.net domain too if it’s so kitten hard to share the kitten session! A simple search would be great benefit too in the light of the current screw up.

every time i login to leaderboards they take me to another page were i secured my account. after i login i go to the community link go to leaderboards and it still is asking me to login. i dont understand what is going on :<

When I go to view the leaderboards and try to log in to see mine and my friends’ scores it takes me to arena.net to log in and by the time I get back to the leaderboards it has logged me the kitten out already. Even when I log in to the forums and go back to the Leaderboards I’m still logged out. There is absolutely no way to view these kittening leaderboards while I’m logged in. Good job anet.

A guild member of mine found a (somewhat technical) workaround for this problem:

By logging in on the arena.net page you will obtain a session cookie that is by default only valid for arena.net (and thus your browser does not send it to the leaderboards.guildwars2.com page!). By copying this session cookie and changing its domain from “*.arena.net” to “*.guildwars2.com”, the leaderboards will recognize you and have you logged in.

We use our own custom program to pull the leaderboards and get the necessary info. As such, I cannot recommend any way to manually do this in a web browser. Anything that allows you to modify cookies should work fine though.

- Log in on Arena.net.
- Then open up your Browsers developer console. (Chrome F12).
- Go to “Resources” and then “Cookies”, click on account.arena.net.
- There’s a Cookie named “s”. Copy or write down the “Value” of this Cookie.
(This is used later in this guide as YOUR_COOKIE_VALUE)
- Now, go to guildwars2.com and open up the developer console again.
- Click on Console, (there you can write and execute Javascript)
- Fill in this: document.cookie=“s=YOUR_COOKIE_VALUE”;
- Press Enter and reload guildwars2.com.
- You’re now logged in!

With the new Arenanet login, it no longer activates/logs into the Leaderboards, so you can no longer see your personal ranks.

Infinite “Log in to view stats based on your profile” notification.

How to reproduce: Go to leaderboards under Community tab. Click Log In. Log in. Go back to the community tab by clicking GuildWars2.com. Return to leaderboards.
Result: Not logged in, please log in to compare.

Are you guys using two-step authentication? I didn’t test logging into leaderboards site with the new account pages before activating two-step auth.

I can confirm this works. I used Cookies Manager+ on Firefox to edit the name of the cookies. However, even though I’m now logged in… it’s still not giving accurate info.

Every time I try I get redirected to https://account.arena.net/overview. and it won’t track that I’m already logged in.

Still not working. High security-risk for wvw! We need this feature to do our security-checks.

I can’t log in either.

Every time I try to login to view the leaderboard, it never works. I log in and then it asks me to log in again once trying to view the leaderboard.

I have the same issue as well,can’t login,I am however,logged into the forums and the acc. page but when I go to the “Leaderboards”,it doesn’t show me as logged in. I click “login” but then I’ll get redirected to the acc. page. I go back to the “Leaderboards” page but I still won’t be logged in. Weird.

I seem to have a weird problem. I can log in to the site and the forum without problems but every time I try to check the Leaderboards it says I have to log in. When I do that and go to leaderboards I’m still logged off.
Anyone else having a similar problem?
Any tips what I could do about it?

I have something similiar. I get redirected back to the forums after logging in and the forum shows I’m not logged in. I hit the login button again and the page refreshes and shows me as logged in.
