Client Crash
Mine is worse after the second patch. Gave up for the day. Was looking forward to a good old boss run too…
Also running into the same issue, tried a re-install of the game but to no avail
Just adding a little more information to my crashing problems. I’m still not able to load into the game. I can get to the character select screen with no issues, but one of two things happens from there. I either instantly crash back to login after double clicking a char, or I get stuck on a map loading screen until I time out and then crash back to login.
All my characters map completion percentages are incorrectly displayed on character select as well. They all show 0% when none of my characters actually have 0% map completion.
Same, completely unplayable and I checked on 2 different computers and 2 different accounts.
Gets to character select, if you click play to quickly it instant crashes, if you give it 30 second it will just time out and crash.
I even repaired archives just to make sure.
Friend in my city is having the same issue, I think it might be a location issue? Anyone else from SW Ontario?
That patch that just dropped did absolutely nothing.
I’m from GTA, so maybe it screwing with everyone in a certain area?

This might be related then, I’m seeing the same thing in the Reddit Forum for people in Southern Ontario- Will add this to my ticket.
London On here, same issue … editing in Start.ca as ISP as well

I am from Toronto and I am having the same issue. this is very frustrating…. did a complete uninstall and re-install, reset my IP and router… nothing…
I’m with Start.ca as an ISP- anyone else?

just to add incase it helps? it was around 11:30 yesterday where i got kicked off and wasnt able to log back in at all. i cant log into gw1 either. o:

Barrie, start.ca. I’m on hold waiting for tech support now. I think it’s fair to say there’s a network issue between start and ncsoft. I’ll let start know and hopefully they can reach out and find the problem between the two.

I’m talking to them now. They already know about it, it was reported a bit earlier. They’re working in the problem, but he’s taking down all my details (when it started, what I’ve tried, logs from my modem, etc.) to help them track it down. I’ll find out if they want info from anyone else.
Ok, I’ve finished my call. He got a pile of pings, a modem error log and the gw2 -diag log file from me to help trace the issue. He also has this thread and the reddit patch bug thread, so they’ll be able to keep up with anything else we post here. He’s also watching dslreports in case anyone starts a thread there. (I have to say, stuff like this is why I love start – I used to be with Bell and they’d never watch a forum thread for updates!)
Their network folks were already working hard on this one when I called, so hopefully it turns out to be a quick and easy fix.
Coincidentally, he mentioned that WoW players just had a similar issue last week. I guess it’s only fair to hit both communities! :P
Good to hear, this is why I love Start as well. hopefully this gets resolved soon.
The 24-hour service is pretty awesome, too. It’s almost 11pm and he called back to ask me to do a test, while their net techs are actively fiddling in the back. I don’t miss the Bell days of waiting until 9am to call in, just to end up in an hour-long queue of everyone who was waiting overnight. The fact they have people working in the middle of the night really improves the odds of it being fixed soon.
Was finally able to get past character select just now. Big thank you to Neirin and SirBee and everyone else that helped with this issue!

Yep, looks like we’re all up and running! \o/ It was still down when I left for work, but working great now. Start called me to make sure their fix worked, so they know we’re good. Of course, if anyone still has an issue, give them a call and let them know!

Hi,
I got the ‘network connection lost’ error if I try to load a map from the charcter selection Screen.
The Map Load Info gives me for MapLoadState STATE_SERVER_WAIT.
After a short amount of time (ca. 20-30 secs) without any load progress the error occurs and I am on the login screen.
Add me to the list. Crashed in the middle of ranked pvp. Says no internet connection yet I’m on here typing this out. I Came back after 2 years. I left out of frustration. I had hoped Anet got their kitten together, doesn’t look like it.
I’m trying to make a new character in divinities reach and at lvl 10 I’ve crashed about 10 times in the last couple hours. I keep losing progress on events and stories and even getting rolled back. It’s saying I’ve lost connection to server – but my internet is fine. PLEASE HELP!
Add me to the list of people who gets a network error, but here’s the catch: I own and play on two accounts, and only one of them (my main) is throwing the network error. Both accounts are, needless to say, played on the same machine.
Furthermore, I am capable of logging in, and play my account using my husbands PC without issues. Both our machines are using the same hardware, setup and modem.
