  The items Koss on Koss, Book of Secrets, Symon’s History of Ascalon and Tome of Rubicon share the same skin but are four different items in the wardrobe. This means four times the cost to fill up the wardrobe with four same skins. Please change all four items to unlock one skin (see item: There with Yakkington: A Traveler’s Tale (itemID 37003)). That way all five book items would unlock one wardrobe skin. Also, that way all four would count for the Style Guide Collection.

• Marauder armor
  If you try searching for, say, level 78 rare armor, you’ll see the “bug” at first glance. Both light and heavy armor have an entire unique armor set (conjurer and banded), but medium has a mix of three different sets: marauder (1 piece), rogue (4 pieces), and privateer (1 piece). Rogue and privateer are already available by other means, which probably means 5 of those pieces are bugged and should be marauder.

• Spiked Club
  Spiked Club is a skin used exclusively by the exotic weapon Berserker’s Mace.
  This weapon doesn’t have a unique name, despite it being the only weapon in the game that uses this skin. Spiked Club was named for its PvP variant (PvP Spiked Club). I suggest renaming Berserkers Mace ([&AgF3ZQAA]) to Spiked Club.

• Etched Short Bow
  There are two versions of this bow ingame. One of them has the Short Bow skin and drops regularly, the other one has the skin of the Longbow and is only available from the Shiverpeak Mountains Weapon Skin Box (PvP Reward Track).
  • #5112 – Etched Short Bow – [&C/gTAAA=] – Short Bow Skin
  • #5040 – Etched Short Bow – [&C7ATAAA=] – Longbow Skin

• Flame Trident
  There are two versions of this trident ingame. One of them shares skins with the Flame Staff and can be bought with WvW Badges of Honor. The Trident Skin can be bought off TP.

  • #5086 – Flame Trident – [&C94TAAA=] – Trident Skin

• Shiverpeak Skewer
  This skin ([&Cz4UAAA=]) is obtainable through a Karma Vendor in Lornar’s Pass and the Norn Cultural Weapon Vendor [Tier1]. The Shiverpeak Spear from the Shiverpeak Weapon Set that can be bought on the TP has a different skin.

• Warden Harpoon Gun
  The Sylvari cultural T3 Harpoon Gun is using the rifle model instead of the Harpoon Gun model. There are two separate items listed in the Wardrobe Storage, Warden’s Speargun and Wardens Harpoon Gun.
  Warden’s Speargun: Available in-game, uses the incorrect Rifle model
  Warden’s Harpoon Gun: Uses the correct Harpoon Gun model, can be previewed through wardrobe storage but is not available in game.

• Godskull Harpoon Gun
  The original skin was removed from the game with the April Feature Patch and replaced with the Godskull Musket (Rifle) skin.
  • Detailed Bug report with images.

• Rime-Rimmed Mariner’s Rebreather
  While the Aquabreather has the same skin as the default one, it has a special effect currently tied to the item rather than the skin. By making it a new skin in the wardrobe we would have the ability to use it across all characters instead of only one who has the item.

• WvW Karma Trader [Equipment Trader] / WvW Weapon Master [Weaponsmith]
  This NPC offers most Bandit Weapons for Karma. The three underwater weapons Bandit Trident ([&C0EPAAA=]), Bandit Harpoon Gun ([&C1sPAAA=]) and Bandit Spear ([&C7IPAAA=]) are missing. Instead, he is selling different underwater weapons.

• WvW Weapon Embosser
  This NPC does not offer the Guild Speargun (was added to other Guild Weapon Merchants a few updates ago).

• HideIfLocked
  Please remove the HideIfLocked flag on all skins. The point of the wardrobe is to have an overview over all the skins.

Excellent list.

On the Flame Tridents, one of the skins (the WvW one) was originally called SteamFire. There is an exotic with the same name that uses that skin. Not sure why they felt they needed to change it to something that was already in use.

You should add no longer obtainable gem store skins as well, such as the Sport Sunglasses [&AgEDTwAA], Aviator Sunglasses [&AgEBTwAA], and the precious Bunny Ears [&AgERjgAA].

Beautiful list, thank you for putting it together. I feel like I’ve been shouting myself hoarse about Mad Memories :\ so I’m very pleased to see it included on the list as not being attached to Mad Memories: The Complete Edition.

Binding Eye of Rodgort does not unlock Lidless Eye, it’s “precursor”

The guild armor is unavailable under that name, but every other piece except for the chest (which are available on guild vendors) are identical to other sets that are available, so I wouldn’t say the skins are unavailable.

The light guild armor is the same as the devout set, level 20 crafted tailoring set:

It used to have it’s own unique skin but when the April Feature Pack came out, it’s skin was replaced with the rifle skin from the same set (even people who transmuted it).

@locoman that’s actually not true. The Guild armour looks almost identical to the sets you listed but most of the pieces are actually different. Most of the differences are just minor size alterations, so they are subtle and easy to mistake, but guild armour truly is it’s own set.

Please add:
Owning a corrupted weapon does not unlock the corresponding etched weapon and owning mad memories:complete edition does not unlock mad memories even though by Arenanets promises of how the wardrobe will work it should. (Like with the spinal backpiece and Legendaries)

Im not sure about similar pieces like the eye of rodgort and the fractal backpiece because i dont own these but i guess they dont unlock either

I compared this against the data I’ve been tracking for the last few months. The list is good overall A few other things:

Marauder Helm is also a rare medium armor drop. It is the only part of that set that is generally available.

Something I noticed last night was that the Warrior starter helms aren’t linked to skins. For some reason, they’re not in the API, so I can’t get an item_id that way.

Some of them are definitely different skins. Tome Of The Rubicon, for example, has its details in silver instead of gold.

Symon’s may or may not be different, there’s no image for it on the wiki at all.

I don’t remember which one it is, but there is one other different one in the game, where the design on the book itself is different. I’ll have to look it up later when I get the chance. I think the image on the wiki for one of them may just be wrong.

Yeah, I checked it out on Friday (but lost my link to this thread). Looks like someone on the Wiki put up the wrong image for the one book, and all the others I was able to find in the game looked identical too.

Must have just been someone messing up on the wiki that I’m thinking about. Sorry.

Yesterdays patch added unlocks for Book of Secrets / Symon’s History of Ascalon / Tome of Rubicon. They all share skin with Koss on Koss, but they are four different skins in the wardrobe.

edit: None of the other item unlocks have changed.

And here I was getting excited as I read the patch notes. Congratulations are in order regardless, because I think you putting this all together helped spur the devs to get them working.

I’ll be doing an API walk in an hour or two, so I’ll be able to see if they got the skin references fixed. This would address Stalker Boots/Studded Gloves/Stalwart’s Bracers/Chain Helm in your list above.

Looks like several of the new Story rewards do not unlock the skin they use. I’ll try to find out which ones exactly and add them over the next few days.

Sariel, did your API walk bring any new results?

Yes, quite a few. I wasn’t able to peruse the findings until about two days ago, and I discovered I decided to look at a point where the entire items API was bugged. Seems that when they updated everyone’s items so that the names on their gear matched the (transmuted) skin, they went overboard and changed every unique item name in the API along with them (e.g. all karma merchant gear got renamed to match their skins). That’s been fixed, fortunately.

Apostle/Heavy Scale/Stalwart chestpieces now a level 40 PS reward, since they changed the level of all the PS episodes.
Stalker Boots: 5651 still bugged. Can’t verify 41186 this way. 6419 probably not in use any longer.
Studded Gloves: 6274, 6394 still bugged.
Chain Helm: 6305 still bugged. 6463 doesn’t show up in the API (pretty sure this is the Warrior starter helmet, which doesn’t unlock its skin, so it ought to be in the API)

Unlike the armor and weapon skins the miniatures are ordered in alphabetical order descending (Z —> A) and not ascending (A —> Z)

I added the Items that unlock all three, maybe we get a statement as to why some unlock all three and others don’t. I also added the Miniatures Bug and hit the 5000 character limit on the third post

ack….. the only api listing for the mask is the old PS reward. Studded Shoulders is only showing up as the old PS reward and the old PvP entry.

Nearly all the listed weapons and armor are known PvP skins, just not currently available.

Anet could just make them exotics and add them as rare drops to the loot tables and as possible loot to the mystic forge. I think that would be perfect.
