I didn’t really think about the gift of exploration till now that I’m working on my legendary so i didn’t even know you get it when you complete mapping. I have had 100% map completion for a long time now, but I don’t remember even getting the gift of exploration. So, I don’t know what to do I am trying to get map completion on another character, but I feel like I’m missing out on my main though.

Have you revisited the Chantry of Secrets? That fixed it for both my boyfriend and me, despite us having been there before. (Both characters had already completed their Order of Whispers stories, too.)

Well you have to make sure you have received the map completion reward from every map. Simply getting 100% doesn’t seem to trigger. This include the Chantry of Secrets which doesn’t actually give you anything but it will still show the dialog anyway.

Also click the yellow thing that is shaking in the corner of your screen trying to get your attention if it’s there …

I remember getting the reward for completing all the maps, but I don’t remember receiving the gift of exploration in there though.

1. Make sure you have explored Chantry of Secrets.
2. A lot of waypoints and points of interest have been added for new content, living story, guild missions, etc. Make sure you have them all.
3. Waypoints were recently added in Obsidian Sanctum, the jumping puzzle accessed from keeps in Eternal Battlegrounds. I am unsure if this affects map completion.

Ya, recently I found all the new waypoints so I’m back at 100%.

I’ll just have to make sure to get map completion on at least one other character lol.

I’m glad it worked for you. We found the hint on the wiki. Many players seem to have this problem.

So… It’s still a bug…

Very odd — I had the same problem, zoned into the Chantry, and there were my exploration rewards. I had already discovered the Chantry POI as well.

This is a very common solution to a very common problem.

Pass the information along! For some reason, ANet support staff will not even offer this little bit of information to those who submit a bug ticket.

Great info. I have four characters with 100% map complete but I only had six of the Gifts. I thought I had accidentally deleted missing two. I sent in each character into the Chantry and the most recent completed character had not collected the rewards. Thanks for the heads up on this Pixelpumpkin. It saved me from submitting a ticket and looking like a doof… again.
