Every so often, a player pops a Personal Black Lion Delivery Agent, and a flock of players sees the icon on the map (and above the NPC’s head) and tries to interact with the NPC… then walking away confused, disappointed and annoyed because the NPC won’t talk to them. Most people think it’s just trading post NPCs bugging out.

For me, that happens maybe 25% of the time I try to approach a BL Delivery Agent NPC. One in four times.

I see no reason to display these icons (and also the NPC him/herself) for anybody other than the person who can actually interact with him/her.

What NPC do you mean? The only “personal” NPC I have seen is a “personal golem banker” and in this case yes, that one would make sense to be hidden or not show a supposed interaction with it. I can’t recall about a Personal TP agent and the only one I know is shareable with other players, then why it shows on map and such.

No different than the Personal Banker Golem. Are there really that many of them about? They are so very rare.

I suppose the Devs may one day adjust them, though it would probably be pretty low on the priority list. /shrug

Those delivery agents aren’t personal they should work for everyone. Not sure why you’re having issues they do only last a certain amount of time you may just be showing up too late

The Personal ones are only for the owner. The regular ones are for everyone.

I have one and they do show up. I’m probably one of handful who actually feels a bit guilty about using it in front of others, knowing they will try to use it. I wish it would act like the personal bank (not golem) and just open the TP with access to getting the gold and items you could normally get. If it did this, I could also open it multiple times without having the “one npc out already” message. The only reason I bought it was because the red ! pops out on my screen and I feel the need to grab stuff when it pops up. Only being able to do that once every 5 minutes really bugs me because I’m usually gathering, and by the time I get another red !, I’m halfway across the map.

Ah ok now I got it. I see there are 2 types of TP agent: Personal Black Lion Trader Express and Trading Post Express.
I had never seen the first so I thought about the second. Yes, even with Personal Golem Banker, if it’s personal it shouldn’t be visible to anyone else but you. The only ones that should show up on map are the shareable ones (like Trading Post Express).

I know of at least one person who actively uses their permanent personal BL delivery NPC to troll people. Pops on, sits back and laughs at people who try to interact with it.

I realize that this isn’t a game-breaker, but it happens to me really rather a lot.
