1) Banner cooldown glitch.
-If a banner is on cooldown and I switch ANY other utility that isn’t (some have reported this only occurs with signets), that utility that you have now switched will share the same cooldown as the banner and you are forced to sometimes wait over a minute until you can use “shake it off,” for example.

2) Axe mainhand #2 (Cyclone axe) interrupts a dodge roll. I discovered this when I first began to practice Lupicus solos months ago, but if you try to dodge to break out of Axe mainhand #2, the dodgeroll animation (and evasion) gets interrupted by the skill itself, rather than vice versa.

3) Greatsword’s autoattack chain (#1) causes an absurdly long delay for other skills and the only way to rectify the problem is to weapon swap. For example, if you want to time a whirlwind for an evasion but just used GS #1, you have a delay of potentially 3 or more seconds before your character will begin whirlwind. I’m not entirely sure if this is intentional but it seems pretty illogical nonetheless, so I deem it as an unfixed bug for the time being. If not, I request it be looked into so that the autoattack chain can be interrupted with use of another ability.

4) Riposte. (Sword offhand #5)
-It’s stubborn as hell and very often will not activate. I’m not entirely sure why, but it seems to be caused by trying to activate it immediately after a dodgeroll. Also often times you have to be moving in order for it to respond to the keypress. As well as this, I believe that pressing it twice accidentally should either not disrupt the blocking animation for projectiles at all or we should have the ability to toggle it in settings or something to prevent that from happening.

5) Greatsword Rush (#5) still very often times bugs when using against larger targets (Korga, for example in Arah P1). However, it’ll work if you’re standing directly in the red circle beneath the enemy. If not, you will run in place and be completely incapable of defending yourself of stopping the running-in-place animation unless you weapon swap to break out of it. This seems more like a path-finding issue or something, but I still think it’s worth mentioning that it should be looked into.


Well, that’s about all I have that are warrior-specific problems to mention.

I forgot to mention this but also, autotargetting is absolutely DISASTROUS with greatsword #5 and sword #2. The obvious solution is to simply not ever play with autotargetting but as it is a default setting for a newcomer it’s a pretty bad impression to give to someone starting out that their movement skills are going to cause them to lunge out in random locations often times off of a cliff. If a target is selected in an inaccessible location these two skills shouldn’t activate. This once again sounds like a pathfinding problem but seeing as I’ve been mentioning bugs/issues with skills for warriors I figured it’d be a good idea to include this.

i have the 1 glitch on my mesmer actually. it happens every time i swap a utility that can have either same cooldown time or higher and puts the new utility into the same cooldown. so for example i used veil(90sec cooldown) and then i swap my decoy that is not on cooldwon with portal, portal will go into the same cooldown as veil. i havent tested all the utilities, but the only ones that didnt have this bug were the ones with lower cooldown like blink(30 second cd)
its very annoying and i think almost every class is affected by it.

Issue #1 has to do with your underwater skills, and affects all classes. When you use a land skill, that skill AND the skill in the same slot underwater goes on cooldown.

So if on land you have: Banner of Discipline, “For Great Justice!” and Frenzy (in that order), and underwater you have “Shake it Off!”, “On My Mark!” and Dolyak Signet, then using Banner of Discipline will cause “Shake It Off!” to go on 120 second cooldown.

It is stupid and non-obvious. Workaround is to equip 3 useless utilities underwater.

how is it stupid? you’re asking be able to use Frenzy (or any buff skill for that matter) and then after you’ve used the skill, swap it out for a shout or any other skill untill it’s back on CD, now THAT’S stupid.

When you use a skill, the whole utility slot is on CD, not just the skill.

actually, #1 is not strictly about land/water (and certainly not limited to warriors). A lot of skills will inherit the cooldown of other skills you have at the same time. Not all, but a lot. I think it has to do with when those skills are typically used and if they are abusable.
similarly, some skills you can switch even though you’d expect a cooldown such as casting portal entre (but not exeunt), then switching that skill to anything else and there won’t be a cooldown.

When you use a skill, the whole utility slot is on CD, not just the skill.

I think you are misunderstanding the issue.

In my example, if you use Banner of Discipline (NOT Frenzy), then “Shake It Off!” will go on 120s cooldown. (this skill is not on your land utility bar). Frenzy is NOT on cooldown. If you swap frenzy (which is NOT on cooldown) for “Shake It Off!”, you will now have TWO utility slots on 120s cooldown (both Banner of Discipline and “Shake It Off!”)

No part of my example involves switching a skill that is currently on cooldown with a different one.

I am not aware of any skills for any class that “inherit the cooldown of other skills” except for skills in the same land/water skill slot. Can you name an example?

Nice find. This explains it and I am able to reproduce the bug. Thank you, I’m gonna equip toxin heal skill and 3 spirit weaps underwater for my guard now :P
