Just popped into VB again, did not get my reward. So I’d say probably missing points.

Definitely not. Logged in on all affected characters and none of them received their reward chest. I’d love an update from ArenaNet’s regarding this.

Out of 13 characters who have 100% VB Map Comp, all 4 of my characters with 100% Central Tyria Map Comp didn’t receive their reward chest and (only) 1 of the characters without prior 100% Central Tyria Map Comp didn’t receive hers.

I was so happy when I saw this. Until I went to Southsun Cove and still got nothing. Same with Dry Top, Silverwastes, Verdant Brink, Auric Basin (the other 2 maps I don’t have yet completed). It seems this fix didn’t fix anything in fact. I’m so frustrated right now.

I got the same problem, I got 100% world completion pre-HoT and finished Verdant Brink and Auric Basin and nothing… looks like Tangled Depths will stay 98% until this bug is fixed..

Soo.. Not only did they NOT give people the old rewards they earned but they didn’t even fix it for 100% characters doing it now? Wonder what that patch was about it then lol

Yeah and the fact that they remain so silent about it aside from some undercover buried post on reddit is really disheartening. One could only assume they aren’t allowed to say anything on the subject because they either a) do not know how to fix the problem currently or b) have no way of determining on their end who is eligible for rewards and who is not. If neither of these two things are the problem then it makes no sense to not have at very least replied to this 200 something pos thread saying they’re working on it and sorry for the inconvenience, eta at a later time. It still doesn’t tell us much but at least assures us it’s not a priority fix and puts the minds of most at ease. But they aren’t doing that. Which means they might not be able to fix the problem. And that is why there aren’t posting. Because they don’t wanna get peoples hopes up when it turns out its a major programming issue that has no work around and there is no way to decide who is eligible for rewards or not, short of reviewing every account individually, something they won’t do. So they post nothing at all as not to make any promises they might not be able to keep.

However, Anet, is this is the case? Why not just give everyone the rewards via mail, regardless of the fact if they are eligible or not? I mean think about it. It’s only 4 maps. It won’t take long before everyone has completed this stuff on their main characters. I have a friend who plays only an hour a day and he is 80%+ on every map as he just runs around and explores alot. Chalk it up to a mistake and just give eveyrone what they’re going to get eventually anyway. It’s not like normal map completion that could take casual player months. This is something that can be done in a few hours. Then add a vendor to each zone that checks for 100% on the map and then allows you to buy the reward from them. This is so that people’s alts can also get the rewards. Problem solved. No need to spend hours of development time on trying to fix an issue that might be too hard to fix or find a way to determine who’s eligible that doesn’t take forever.

You could even do it in phases. Start with just sending everyone the rewards of each map (and for full HoT completiong if there is one, I don’t know). Add a chest to that e-mail so people can choose with of the ‘class caches’ they get as you can’t know which character someone’s ‘main’ is. And then in a later update add a vendor to each map that allows people to buy them/unlock talking to the vendor if the character has 100% on the map. Then, if there are also rewards for full HoT completion, allow one of the items bought from the vendor to be a token. Add 4 tokens together and you can buy ‘HoT completion reward’ from the same vendor.

Same problem, character with 100% old world completion, didn’t get reward for verdant blink completion.

So I took two weeks off of work for HoT, and in that time I spent my entire time trying to get The bo staff collection unleocked, I have finally done everything.. But am still blocked from getting Bo. The past three days I am literally just waiting for the Devs to fix the bug that does not give me the thief’s cache nor the gift of the fleet for 100% ing one magus falls map… Please fix this, I am getting pretty frustrated that I rushed this to have it early and now am literally just standing around waiting for you to fix it.

This problem isn’t just limited to Verdant Brink: I completed Auric Basin a few days ago and haven’t received a map completion chest for it. I asked about the problem in map chat and someone told me that this is a known problem and is caused by already having 100% map completion in Core Tyria. I don’t know if that’s actually the case, but sounds plausible.

It is affecting all HoT maps, i completed them all with 100% and didn’t get a single reward chest. I haven’t tested it on Dry Top, Silverwastes and Southsun Cove though. That character had 100% on Tyria too.

I have 100% in VB, AB, and TD. Nothing. Zilch. Nada.

Yeah I really hope they get on this quickly.. These weapons are not easy to make.. Feels really lame that I have to wait even longer after all the time I put in to get it.

I knew that it was a waste to finish the map but I couldn’t help myself completing it and no reward. I really hope we will get the reward when the map completion bug will be fixed.

I’d like to add that I have a similar bug for tyrian maps that hadn’t reward before HoT (southsun/drytop/SW). Only my revenant (created after HoT) ended up getting the reward for Southsun (I’ll try drytop and SW later to see if the bug is related to the date creation of my characters)

I completed the first map and got the choice of cache’s and said to myself I don’t need any thief gear, let me grab something for an alt………SMH then found out I needed to get it for BO. Completed next map no reward……
currently waiting for this fix, stealth glide and the harvesting mastery’s(the grind), plus the crap you have to buy in DS.

Read some Threads in the german Guild Wars 2 Forum and found a statement of the german community manager Ramon Domke.

According to his Post they are aware of the Problem and are currently working on a fix, but he has no exact time or date for us :/

I myself have already come across two separate VB map completion bugs. Who knows how many other problems there could be right now.

when u get 100% compl in HoT, do u get a different star icon?

I’m in the ssame situation, just waiting for this bug to be adressed to do that last POI in Verdant Brink. My engie pass by it every day and look at it with nostalgic desire, from afar.

I wish i could read this topic before believing in patch notes… Logged in, realized that was a new build, went to read patch notes and saw map completion fixed, logged in game and went to VB completing the last HP i had left and still no reward… Map completion reward and specialization collection reward… Disapointed.

Did verdant brink today @ 100% still no reward.

This is really starting to get out of hand now, its majorly game breaking and i swear they’re doing just to slow player progression down.

That’s what I thought! But it wasn’t I tried to log in on my necro which already had the bug issue and didn’t get anything, so I tried with my mesmer that I leaved one POI, I took it but no reward at 100%.. me so sad! :’(

Cause of the bug: The tyria 100% map complete is causing the maps added AFTER the original coding to not be counted. I.e: “Upon 100% rewards of the following instances, give <player> <reward>, Upon 100% of the total following instances, give <player> <reward>”

Basically, they didn’t add the new maps when making them, Too lazy to do so.

It would have been MUCH easier for them to instead add the HoT maps on a seperate 100% climb, where if you are in HoT and press M you dont see the “100%” complete, instead it would be “x% complete” with a different HoT themed symbol, but thats far to easy to do now isn’kitten.

Wouldn’t want to make your life too easy Anet, calm down..

I now have completed VB with 2 characters, both have not gotten their reward yet.

100% map completion in V.B. before the 4th and no reward. Logged back in to VB and still no reward. It wouldn’t bother me so much if map comp. was not tied to specialized collections.

My mistake. It seems the issue mentioned in patch notes was related to other issues, possibly map completion reseting for a few players like map appearing as undiscovered and such.

I will no hurry for map completion then only opening what is needed and leave completion till this is fixed

Did VB map completion on my warrior and got reward. My friend just got his reward as well. Went back to my ranger and after VB map completion got no reward….

I have 100% tyria and 100% all new content maps and I have yet to receive any rewards from the new maps. I thought it was just VB but it’s all new zones.

The recent patch that stated map reward bugs were fixed did NOT fix this issue for me and one other guild member. Please fix this, I want to do collections

i have 100% map completion of central tyria on every character. when i finished verdant brink i got no reward because of that. this is now common knowledge and we were waiting for a fix. after the new patch notes i again completed another map on my main to test it and got NO reward again so now i have only 1 map left (except dragons stand). pls fix this asap so people can start doing the specialisation collection for the ascended weapons who have already finished the map. everyone who posts one of these doesnt have map completion so rewarding this is not very good for the game.

I’m sure they are going to fix it. The only problem is: when?

Regardless, my main also has world completion and I did all HoT maps without getting the rewards. And I don’t even care cause I know they will fix it sooner or later. The insane amount of grind was added to keep us busy until they fix all the issues. Which is exactly what I will do, grind :P

So, I have completed ALL of the HoT maps on my necro thinking “maybe they mean to complete all maps”. I STILL have not gotten any completion rewards or the Necromancer’s Cache for the Specialization Collection.

So, Anet, when you’re thinking of a fix for this you also need a retroactive reward for those of us that beat you to the punch on this one, since I have no other Magus Falls map to complete once this fix is in effect.

There was an official response to it, a couple of days ago, so by now it’s buried somewhere back deep in the recesses of the forum…you can try finding it, or take my word for it. It only applies to those characters that have 100% Core Tyria map completion, and when they fix the bug those that have completed the affected maps will receive their rewards retroactively(I’m paraphrasing but it was something to that effect).

It’s been a while now Anet, and we’ve been patient but the bug that prevents players who had Tyria Map Completion from getting the HoT map rewards is a roadblock to specialization weapons and a pretty crappy way to reward people who took the time to complete the content.

This should be a priority, period. Not something that takes a ticket submission and a long wait through form responses.

Same here. I finished Verdant Brink like 2 hours ago and no reward. i also have %100 world map completion.

Logged back in hoping that maybe it had been fixed as per the patch notes. Nope Did get the Bladed Coat in the VB meta event though, yay!

Uh No it is not fixed yet…. Still no word from anyone at Anet over this. It is now quite pathetic that it has not been resolved or communicated effectively.

This is getting ridiculous now!

That they haven’t fixed it but even more so that they are failing to communicate regarding it.

I’m not receiving box rewards for any event completion or mini game or anything in Verdant Brink. I reported it awhile back but haven’t heard any sort of response. I also haven’t seen anyone else receiving this kind of bug.

Hey, everyone.

I have just reached 100% completion on Fireheart Rise map but I did receive the map completion reward.
I am now afraid to complete other maps because I don’t know whether I will actually receive map completion reward upon them; It’s utterly frustrating.

Has someone been experiencing this bug as well? Not necessarily upon this map, but also upon other maps? If so, is ArenaNet familiar with this issue?
