My client freezes and has to be shut down every other minute.

My friend and I are having the exact same issue. We wanted to finish up the living world story before HoT, but it came out just as we were finishing up the story step before this one and now we’re stuck here in limbo. :c

Game crashes after reaching at least 1% download. Getting Exception: c0000417 error message. Tried a clean boot but still not downloading.

On the prologue: rally to maguuma, i can no longer progress in the story nor can i restart my progress. The end cutscene bugged out and froze my client. After returning to the game the cutscene continued to freeze the client. After leaving the instance i can no longer return to it nor can i reset the progress to start it over.

I have lost AP as well

My game crashed while I was in the cut scene right before entering Verdant Bank from the silverwastes. Once I had logged back in, the cut scene was gone, the ability to see it again was gone, and I can not get into Verdant Bank.

Unlocked daredevil things in Heart of the mists and got no achievement or skins

Guild chat isnt working for any guilds.

Seems related to the Heart of Thorns patch. The Living World chapter Point of No Return, in ‘Pact Assaulted’, when you have to free pact soldiers from the vine pods, only 2 spawn instead of 3, making the event and the entire instance impossible to complete. There’s a couple people saying it’s only happened post-HoT update – my friend and I were playing it for the first time just after the patch hit because we wanted to finish it up before moving into HoT story, but now we’re stuck. 8/

Game crash trying to enter maguma, tried now 4 times crashes every time I go to the green star to start the cut scene each time get returned to red rock in sw, guild chat not working

The game is still downloading, however it is playable. When I login and try to create a revenant, there is a sign on the icon “Update to guild wars 2 heart of thorns in order to play this class” or sth. like that. I’ve pre-purchased the game and I do not know why I’m getting this. Perhaps I have to wait for the whole game to finish ?

Same problem, the worst is that now i have the option of buy the expansion in my control panel of the webpage ….. i just dont have any access of the new content >.<

The launcher has downloaded to over 90% but now the download just stops and if I press the play button the game won’t launch.

Game crashed in the first Hot story instance, ported out of the map, and now there is no way to get back into the instance again.

All my blood and madness achievements, and the panel for them, from last Halloween are missing. I seem to be missing the points for them as well.
I still have the mini pets and my achievements for the weapon skins are still present.

Every time I try to preview a guild hall (either Lost Precipice or Gilded Hollow) from the NPCs in the Initiative Office the game freezes, forcing me to close the game and restart. I have an AMD Radeon 6870 graphics card.

I have an active Heart of Thorns game currently on my arena.net login.

I can make a revanent with no problems.

The problem is that I cannot access ANY of my elite specs on ANY of my characters in the PvP Lobby.

I even created a revanent, leveled it to 2, went to the PvP lobby. I COULD NOT access my elite spec. There are only the 5 normal spec icons available to choose. This is unacceptable.

Please fix this immediately.

I was 12,770 AP before HoT release and now I am 12,716… not sure what happened there

Heat Sync with Tempest is doing nothing right now.
(not that I heavily dislike the gutting of most boons shared)

But it doesnt even share Might and Fury right now. It only applies the Heat Sync effect and does nothing else

my necro was in the pvp lobby when i logged in. Started the elite specialization but did not get a bouncy chest reward for the reaper’s greatsword. The collection is locked also.

I’m sure the devs have noted it but just in case.

This bug thread has lots of folks seeing freeze/crash when viewing various cutscenes. Must be a general cutscene problem rather than a HoT specific one.

I am currently unable to complete the prolugue mission. At the last rally point before the portal to verdant brink (after the escort and talking to all the LS npcs), I approach the green star. At that point the UI hides as if starting with a cut scene but instead the game becomes unresponsive. The standard anet crash UI does not appear

Similar here but I am even worse, my game hang there and I had too kill it.
After sevaral attemps, I decied to hop into WvW broaderland to quit the instance.
Now they won’t allow me to resume the prologue mission.

BTW, the game was still downloading but playable.

Unable to swap stances on Revenant in Heart of The Mists. Same claims from several players in map chat. Only have one selectable stance. It doesn’t show the other slot at all.

Just a heads up for any players allocating points in PvP, do it in a PvE map to get the elite spec weapon.
I started putting hero points into the elite spec line for my Warrior, Guardian, Necro and Memser. Only my Memser and Warrior got the elite spec weapon. My Necro and Guardian were in PvP lobby while my Warrior and Mesmer were chilling in LA.

Same issue mentioned above; the final cutscene before entering Verdant Brink causes my game to freeze and I have to force quit.

Ya same here. Though I can keep trying to get past the cut scene it freezes everytime

disable area of effect rings does not hide the area of effect highlights on linear skills like revenant’s searing fissure (mace #2 skill).

Fractal skin master is bugged – skins are unlocked in wardrobe but are not appearing in the Fractal Master achievement.

Similar issue, I finished Torn from the Sky and got the rewards, but got put into Prologue Rally to Maguuma on exit. Now I am stuck as I am on Establishing a Foothold but in the first instance. On relogging and on rezoning I get put back into the instance.

I was helping clear out an event in Verdant Brink and a Mordrem Troll used its insect swarm. For some reason, it showed up as an ally and member of my guild. http://imgur.com/G7A8uo7

I Lost Like 70 AP too! what happened?

I did Torn from the Sky with a friend. When we finished I clicked to accept to progress and clicked the exit instance door above the map. I was ported back into SW; not into Maguuma. I got credit on my story journal however there is a Cross across the portal into Maguuma from Silverwastes and nothing is happening when I walk up. I am unable to progress now. Please Help

I unlocked daredevil on my thief while I was in the spvp lobby, and I never unlocked the collection to begin the Bo staff, which unlocked for all the other professions immediately after spending the 60 hero points.

I am literally stuck.

I left the instance during the Heart of Thorns prologue and I can’t get back in. This really sucks because now I can’t get into the new maps. It’s stuck at “Prepare for the assault on Modremoth.” If anyone can help please it would be amazing this is really bad.

Was doing a the prologue with a friend and didn’t get credit for completion at the end. That character can’t continue with the HoT story, restart the prologue, or even reenter the prologue. I did get access to the HoT areas afterwards, but didn’t get mastery points unlocked since the starter mission failed to complete.

Same issue, reset in prologue and now im stuck, cant reset the mission to restart or enter in again instance zone.

no character slot, i activated HOT on 21 oct.

Game freezes at end of prologue as if its starting a cutscene but client freezes completely.

I am crashing like crazy here. I had to do the personal story missions twice, because each time I reached a cut scene, the game crashed. I’m on the Mac client.

Yep same here, just standing in silverwastes and cant get further!

Map completion chest are not being rewarded and all maps. Maps that i left with only one point to complete before patch, and then go to complete point after 100% the map but no chest. Same holds too for hero point consumables that are used to complete from other maps will award hero point and 100% but no chest. See my gaurdian history log for info on maps i have tried.

Same thing happened to me as well. Hopefully it gets fixed

In WvW, a player with fully upgraded Repair Master who patches 10 supply into a Fortified Gate gets only one tick of 5 WvW exp. Prior to the patch, I remember it being much higher.

Not me, but two of my guildies have experienced the same prologue bug that others are reporting.

Downloading issue, cant even download HOT :P send in some reports, but ill see if the issue still resides
