Whenever I think that I got an idea on why the log-in-gains on influence points are not working, I get it crushed whenever I log in to evaluate that idea.
Influence points for log in is still not working. My guild is lacking already 5,840 points since September 1. Just for that problem alone.

guild upgrades bugged? i just activated +15% karma for 24 hrs and i noticed that is not working, this is suppose to give extra karma for guild mates from dynamic events, is look like it doesn’t also Contract asuran cant be activated, i wonder if rest of the upgrades are bugged, like +10 magic find, +10 gather

Our guild: Fluffy Demons [FLUF], based in Sea of Sorrows server is having problems with the Guild Bank. No one can deposit or withdraw from the average member to the guild leader. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Yesterday there was a low point on influence gathering for logging in: 50 points for 17 guild members that logged in. This means just 5 out of 17 got their points. 12 members or 120 points were lost.
I don’t like it. It seems to get worse than better.

PS Another low point: on the morning of December 25 I received only 40 points. 4 of 17 guild members. One account nil, the other just 4. Sad!

There is a limit on the number of open invitations too.

In order to add more people, you have to go at the guild NPC and you have to extend your guild invite, i had same problem

Not sure what is going on, but any help is appreciated. I bought and spent inlfuence on the guild bank after the real one was already established because it was saying it wasn’t ready or available in my guild panel. In essence, I spent 1800 influence that I didn’t need to, because of this bug. Any help is appreciated.

Trying to join a new guild – the invite was sent to me – but I can’t click on “Account Guilds”. Makes a beep noise.

I’m getting issues with guild chat.

- When I log in with any character, it’ll say I’m in no guild, even if I’m representing one.
- I can only input text in one of my guilds once I represent them. For the rest It’ll say “You are not in a guild”.
- If I represent that one guild for which chat works, when I switch any other guild, text still goes to that guild’s chat.

Relogging or switching characters does not affect this.
I also tried relogging after standing down from the guild, then represent once logged back, but that didn’t work either.

Try promoting a trusted friend or member to guild leader then step down. Log out of the game completely and log back in. Have your friend/member promote you back to leader and that often solves the problem. I’ve seen this one a few times.

I had an issue where we could not invite new members. Through the help of support, we were able to determine that the cause is usually the individual account you’re trying to invite has too many outstanding/unanswered invites and/or they are already in the allowed number of guilds. Ask the person you’re inviting how many unanswered invites they have and how many guilds they are in. I would suggest that when inviting a new member, they should have NO outstanding/unanswered invites.

I used a Tome of Influence on Sept 29 2012 but didn’t get it added to the Guild Influence. I did submit a ticket in-game but there is still no reply yet.

I’ve also noticed something odd about guild influence which ties in with the first character created.
I have 2 accounts residing in the same guild so I kinda know if any of the influence was working properly since I have watched the guild roster and features on 2 PCs running side by side.

Answer to 1 – yes, for me it was exactly the same

Answer to 2 – I have the same problem with logging in. Not all characters to log in get their daily influence of 10 points. I have now 20 characters on 2 accounts. 20 is the maximum number for receiving 10 points influence. Starting with number 21 it will be only 5 points. For yesterday I received 60 points for all 20 characters (should have been 200). Accumulated loss of influence points from missing login bonus is 6,610 since September 1 up to yesterday.

Answer to 3 – anything fine with me. I got 2 tomes and I received the promised 2,000 points for them. But I know that other had the same problem with the tomes.

Something strange keeps happening to my guild status. I’m shown as a non representing member to others (although I am a representing member), but my guild panel is reset to the default status (without guild) and I lose my guild tag and can’t see the guild chat. Happened twice in a few weeks. The first time I had to be removed and reinvited, the second time it fixed itself after I loged out (but I also sent a bug report). I’m a member of just 1 guild.

Hey, After i switched server to devon (from crystal desert initially), my guild upgrades were reset to lv 1, now i cant access treasure trove too. It seems my guildies are able to see them. I have all permissions granted so im not sure why this phenomenon.

The upgrades and the influence points are serverbound. Moving to a different server you start from nil again. Moving back you gain access to the previous situation there again.
No bug – it is intended that way.

Normally you can build only one upgrade at any given time. Except that you have build an upgrade that increases the number of upgrades that can be build at the same time.

STRANGEST Thing ever, now suddenly all is okay and the next items in the Queue are available. Curious…..

My guild is also glitched, I had alot of stuff researched. but as you can see it looks as though i have absolutly nothing but 16 influence which is wrong, My guild icon is there int he corner even though you have to have politics lvl 1 and guild emblem template researched but as seen int he pic like everything politics has no lvl researched!

I had over 1400 influence, lvl 1 politics, guild emblem template, art of war lvl 1, +10% pvp influence for 24hr, economy lvl 2, architecture lvl1 and guild workshop where all things that my guild had the yesterday but today its all up and vanished!

hi i’m experiencing some problem with my guild Rainbow Pride server Whiteside ridge.
i was talking in guild chat but suddenly a message appeared saying “you are not in a guild”. i’m am the guild leader/founder and regardless the chat error i can acces guild panel, i see online members, i see myself still representing, they see me still in the guild, i could change the message of the day. the only thing i can’t do is read guild message in the chat or type any lines…
i sent a ticket and browsed the forum for advice.
i hope this can be fixed.

I still can’t use my guild’s chat.
Los Heraldos De La Llama Oscura [HLO] (Baruch Bay [SP]).

First I though I can only chat in one guild, but turns out, I can’t chat just in that one.

Here’s some things I’ve tried:

• Login with a character not representing any guild.
  • Represent [HLO]
    • Type->Guild chat says I’m not in a guild.
  • Represent any other guild
    • Type -> Guild chat works.

• Login with a character already representing [HLO].
  • Type -> Guild chat says I’m not in a guild.
  • Switch to any other guild, standing down first or not.
    • Type -> Guild chat works.
    • Represent [HLO] again without standing down first.
      • Type- > Chat lines are sent to the previous guild instead to [HLO].
    • Stand down, then represent [HLO].
      • Represent [HLO]
      • Type -> Chat says I’m not in a guild.

• Login with a character already representing any other guild.
  • Type -> Guild chat works.
  • Represent [HLO] without standing down first.
    • Type- > Chat lines are sent to the previous guild instead to [HLO].

I can’t do anything without guild chat. Not everyone uses Facebook, Steam or anything else at the same time, and I can’t go whispering everyone, and there’s no way to set custom chat channels or anything like that.

Nevermind. Leaving the guild and joining again worked.

I’ll leave the stuff that didn’t work in the post for ‘posterity’.

Update on my log-in influence missing since September 1 – it is now 7,500 points
Yesterday I had 7 out of 20 characters accounted for. Today it will be even less than that.
Nothing has been done so far to help ease it down.

In guild wars 1 there was a time since last logged meter. This immensely helped guilds stay active and cut the inactives. It is so hard to do that in a large guild without some sort of tracking available to the leader.

As issues.. I have 2
1. one missing IMPORTANT feature : last logged time
2. randomly bug appears to different members, to members that only represent my guild but those who have multiple too. When representing my guild, when opening the guild panel is empty and guild name doesn’t appear in the left list, like they aren’t in the guild. From my perspective they are online and representing. Only solution is for them to relog.

Logon guild influence not always registerating.

I have 5 accounts with 5 toons each representing this guild (SC). EVERY day I log on EVERY toon for the guild influence. Sometimes the guild influence total increments by 10 each login, sometimes it doesn’t, and there is no pattern. Some days I get as little as 12 increments, some times as many as 19, other times somewhere inbetween. From the other posts in this thread, I am not the only one having this problem. I opened a ticket and was advised to stand down then re-represent as a work around. This never worked for me. I was also advised to represent a different guild then return to SC. This also never worked for me. This is obviously a coding bug that will not get attention until enough of us complain.

In the meantime, I venture to say Every Small Guild is being deprived of the advertised amount of guild influence they are due, some time by as much as half. If we were getting Twice as much guild influence as advertised, I’m sure Arenanet would have their coders working 24/7 to fix the problem.

Come on people, post your guild influence problems. Arenanet, how about some coder time to get this fixed please…….

On my account I have two characters, and one of them doesn’t have any privileges for the guild. Only the character I made the guild with can invite people etc.
I much prefer my second character, and I was wondering if there is any way I can give it privileges for the guild. Switching characters just to invite people is getting very tedious and annoying.

Another big issue is the WvW right click contextual menu not working (on guild members). This bug is like the sound one, very old and unsolved.

@Bakamon: Stepping down is only possible, if there is at least one other account in the guild. If there is only a single account in the guild, stepping down is a guild delete. So such a solution is not working. At least I have read a bug report here, giving this story. So far I have not been able to read something officially on guild deletes or on the wiki.

My lost influence gathering due to log in was raised to 8,015 points starting since September 1 until yesterday. I have 2 accounts and 20 characters. My average gain is mostly 5 to 9 characters daily (2 times I got 10), inspite my logging in all 20 characters daily.
Today’s sum is about 5 or 6 again, but usually I’ll wait for the daily history message. That is the number that I use to accumulate the missing points.

Reading through some of these posts, I see others are having the same issues as me.

I just created my own guild, King Dom [KiNG] within the Devona’s Rest server.
I made a new rank called King for myself and a select few, with all of the permissions and then tried to assign these people to that rank. It wouldn’t change them to the new rank, so I put them back to the default “Leader” while I remained “King”. After this happened, I lost control of the guild, and can no longer do even the most trivial tasks within it, even though I have all the permissions.

This is very frustrating, as I wanted to make a guild emblem and start some upgrades, but now cannot.

I need help, you see I was such a fool and forgot that I set my rank to another which was based in a squad rank in our guild system but then relising that leader rank, the rank I made myself with no leader permission, so now somehow “Korbax” is the leader, I’ve got proof that I own it, print screened them IG, I’ve sent mail to give it me back and if refusal would be reported, and he’s been inactive all the time. May I please get my rank back. It won’t happen again. Please respond asap, it’s been around a week and it’s killing me.

Not certain if this is a bug to be reported per say, or just a matter of rewording NPC conversations, but our guild is currently at 50 members across 4-6 servers, with the majority on Eredon Terrace. We have sufficient funds (10 silver) on my character (I’m guild leader) when I go to speak to Cyri [Guild Registrar] in LA. But like others in this thread have noted, I am also getting the same messge from Cyri: “Hmm, your membership is not large enough. You need more guild members before I can give you a bigger license.”

I honestly do not know if this is a bug or if (as gathered from talk on the wiki and GW2 guru) we may need more active, representing members online at the time I speak to Cyri in order to be able to purchase the upgrade to 100 members.

Try it with a ticket, but I cannot promise, that they can do anything about it. If you read the available information it says “We cannot / won’t interfere in internal guild affaires.” I would try anyway, at least their is a chance they might be able to help you.

BTW Yesterday was another low on gathered influence for logging in: just 4 out of 20 characters were counted.
I never found out any hint, for when it counts or when it does not, but usually the first few characters of an account count.

For weeks I’ve been getting the “you’ve reached the maximum number of memberships” error message whenever I try to invite someone to any of my 5 guilds.

I am trying to register for a larger License and i get “Hmm, your membership is not large enough. You need more guild members before i can give you a bigger license.” I have 50 members and enough silver to upgrade.

Often I get the impression that the original 5-character-slot limit plays a role in the accumulation of “Log in” influence. Just like today. I gathered exactly 5 times the amount for one player for 2 accounts. Or yesterday as I gathered 5 times for one account while the second account got lost completely. And mostly the maximum for one account IS just 5 characters.
All characters represent.
One day an account was lost completely when the account was promoted to co-guildleader.

It is sad that this easiest part to gain influence is bugged from the beginning and that nobody acknowledged the problem yet. How shall you be able to win influence for your guild aplliances if this is not working properly. Of course there are more burning issues – even within the guilds – but nevertheless this is a bad situation.

BTW I’m missing 8,920 points since September 1 now – and counting (todays 100 points not yet counted in, because I wait for the history information on the end of the day).

I’m still having a problem with guild ranks. I’m the co-leader of my guild and I made a new rank that was just for me and I called it captain because I wanted the leader of our guild to be the only one with that rank of leader. Ever since I did that I’m not able to promote people or demote people in my guild. So, I don’t know what to do. I have everything checked the same as the leader rank does. I even had the leader uncheck and recheck everything for me just to see if it would work, but it still didn’t fix it.

My guild is having the same problem. The leader set up new ranks and those ranks cannot Edit Rank although the permission is checked. Is this a permanent problem or something upon which the devs are working?

How many of you players have noticed that you dont always get the advertised amount of guild influence when you logon each day? How many of you have opened a ticket and got a “work around” that never works? How many of you have posted in this forum to find you are not alone but are obviously ignored by anyone connected to GW2?

I must assume that the problem is deep in the code someplace or the problem would have been fixed by now. This leads me to wonder what other problems are lurking deep in the source code.

When you kill that Veteran mob and get nothing, is that designed or a bug?
Do you always check you coin purse after selling “junk” to a merchant or just trust the code?
When looting a mob and getting a “blue” item, do you ever wonder if that should have actually been a “green” or even a “yellow”, or is there a math error burrowed deep in the code?
Is the Exp gain correct or the “bonus” correct? Do you ever notice the exp bar moves quickly across the screen at times and slow at others and you are still in the same zone killing the same mobs for the same exp?

Who does any of this advangage? Certainly not the player. I for one just want somebody at ArenaNet to tell us they are aware of the missing login guild influence, they have people working on it, a fix is forthcoming, and to keep us updated on the progress. If the obvious problems were adressed by ArenaNet, then maybe we could trust that All the code is working correctly. Just a thought……….

Issue: Our Guild Storage section known as Treasure Trove has what seems to be a glitched slot where we normally put our Cotton Scraps. This would be Row 2, Column 3 of the Treasure Trove. The items that were once there (XXX number of Cotton Scraps) no longer is there and nothing can be moved to that slot. History as well does not show any tampering with this item whether being deposited or withdrawn from our storage. If any further information is required just ask.

Have to agree. I’m getting really tired of the guild influence bug. Never thought of the other possibilities but you do raise a good point.
