On sylvari cultural T2 Orchid Leggings, there are some veins that take on the hue of the body, but surrounding the veins there are some areas that end up becoming reddish with most of the body colors that aren’t reddish or warm-color hues (hard to see it when you’re already reddish). The color of the armor dye doesn’t matter as much as your body color to set it off.

This ONLY affects the legs, it doesn’t affect any other of the veins of the Orchid armor set.

There is some armor clipping occurring on my human character while he’s wearing the Ravaging Banded Coat and Ravaging Banded Pauldrons. the picture below shows when it’s clipping and when it isn’t.

Bug: When I first purchased the armor, it held any color settings I entered into the Dye Mode window(in other words, working as intended). I transmuted the gear and now the dyes that were selected before the transmute can no longer be placed in the same spot.

For example, before transmute I had gold in the upper slot on the helm. Selecting gold again and closing the window causes it to revert to “Dye Remover”.

Another thing is that “Dye Remover” now instead of removing dyes, turns my armor into the color it was before the transmute.

Lastly, attempting to unequip all the armor will cause the game to crash.

The attached images show what it should look like, what it becomes after closing the window, and what it looks like when I attempt to “remove” the dyes. Notice how the Gold and Earthen dye locations get reverted to “Dye remover” but repainting with the dye remover will actually fill them back in with the desired colors.

I’ve noticed that the Tier 1 cultural heavy armor shoulder piece for male humans has become very bulbous and well… ugly. I’m attaching the way it looked during the first month after launch and now (in that order). Mind the resolution.

I understand it’s hardly a high priority fix, but it’s been a really long time since I’ve reported that the hairstyle on my character has no animations and Anet haven’t acknowledged or fixed it yet.

I’ve checked with other people and this is the same for everyone. You can see for yourself by looking at Queen Jennah who uses this hairstyle. It’s glued to the back of the neck and doesn’t ‘wave’ around like other long hair in the game does. It used to, when I started the game at launch. Somewhere along the line it was broken.

Please have a look at this Anet. It bothers me a lot, considering I have to watch it all the time!

Hello!

I’m here to report a “color anomaly” and that is in regard to the Furnace Reward Pauldrons and Furnace Reward Gauntlets (Sorrow’s Embrace medium armor pieces). It appears the shoulders produce a darker shade (and sometimes duller look) of a dye if the metal parts of both pieces are dyed the same color. In the attached screenshots, I used:

  • Abyss Dye, Natural Metallic
  • Fluff Dye, Vibrant
  • Celestial Dye, Natural Metallic

I thought the Natural Metallic dyes were supposed to apply some kind of metallic-like sheen on the armor … but I’m not really sure as far as the categorical material classifications of the dyes are concerned. Anyway, just thought I’d mention that.

I am having the same problem as this guy ( https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/January-Issues-with-character-art-weapons-or-armor/page/2#post1216720 ) on my human thief. The red lines really call your attention after some time, and I have noticed that other`s players also have those lines, one in the middle of the chest and another on the side of the coat. Also, when you run, your coat`s “shorter half” get into the “longer half” or something and you have this effect. The dagger getting inside the coat is not bothering me, because this is a mid-level dagger and I hope the max level ones don`t do this, as well as the low levels/normal(standard looking) ones doesn’t, but I added a screenshot just in case.
I have also noticed (not in my character because i don`t have the level yet to but/equip them, so I don`t have a screen shot for that, sorry) that the Whispers bots have a knife on the side and if you wear them and the duelist the knife goes through the coat.
And I want to ask you guys to (PLEASE, PLEASE, I BEG YOU) add a silver-metal die, or fix the silver we got. Because the silver we have is some sort of light blue.
Thank you guys for the time and keep up with the game, its great and I`m having a really good time, of course some bugs or things happen but the can get fixed with some time! Sorry the screen shots are not the best, and english is not my 1st language, so sorry for any mistakes.

Since release I have a bug with Heavenly Medium Bracers aquired as a gift from Hall Of Monuments. Part of the bracers is.. duplicated and following my Norn in the air? The problem still occurs when naked – it has been with me since lvl 1 (pre-release) so I quit using the bracers, now wanted to check if they have been fixed but they have not.

I checked them on Sylvari, Engineer, Male and they worked fine – pure Norn Issue?

My Norn’s transmuted cultural set works just fine. On this particular character it does not. I used an ingame item for its intended purpose on another high cost item and it broke it to the point that removing said armor causes the game to crash. This is unacceptable.

i have found this too. Not just with the feathered vestments also. I haven’t tried it out on a Norn but it seems that for the human females, the textures and meshes for the breasts look really weird and misshapen. I posted above about it and said that they look like cardboard cutouts.

My human female warrior confirms the general problem, she thinks it’s rather embarrassing having her breasts falling off underwater. It’s at its worst when she’s out of combat.

Male Asura racial T3 light armor chestpiece

The right shoulder part of the armor (which is incorporated in the chestpiece skin) has some visual glitch during any animation involving the right arm: this happens both in combat and out of combat, both when using emotes and during the idle animation (in the 3rd screenshot its possible to see that a part of the shoulder armor seems to clip in itself, the character was idle during that screenshot)

Issue 1: The same dyes were used (on vestments and pants at least) but the armor is coloured differently on a sylvari and a human character.
Issue 2: The armor glow on the human character gets coloured with dyes while it remains white on the sylvari (shouldn’t the armor glow at least be the colour of the body glow on the sylvari?)
Issue 3: On the sylvari only the forearms glow while on the human upper arms and back glows too. There’s no glow on any other parts besides vestments on either character (I believe the back part of the mantle and some parts on the pants should glow too?).

FIXED IN 1/28/13 PATCH .. THANKS *)

The skins on the Corrupted Harpoon and the Corrupted Spear are switched, so that the harpoon looks like the spear, and the spear looks like the harpoon. The icons are also switched; however, the weapons shoot, stab and otherwise behave as expected.

I should maybe add that this bug was identified when playing a level 80 Sylvari Thief (male).

I seem to have joined the crowd of other people having this problem – I can’t change the dye on my transmuted T2 sylvari chestpiece. It seems to just be the chest – I’m able to change the pants just fine. Attempting to remove the chestpiece with the dye “changed” in the hero panel crashes the game. If I close out the hero panel and bring it back up, the dye reverts to the previous color. Changing zones, logging out, and logging from different clients results in the same problems.

From a quick search of the forums, this is seems to be a fairly common problem, some reporting this issue back in September. Have they addressed this issue at all?

Post patch edit: Well it seems this maintenance build pushed through tonight cleared the problem for me, at least with that particular piece of armor.

Twilight clipping through chest armor.

I wouldn’t even be posting this, ’cause i can honestly live with minor clipping, but this is hardly minor. It especially annoys me because after all of the effort i went through to get the legendary, half of it is hidden by my chest armor. If i switch from my CoF chest to T1 cultural, it only gets worse.

1st ss – CoF chest.
2nd ss – Hero panel with it. ( ignoring the usual sunrise instead of twilight bug. )
3rd ss – T1 chest.

Because of the Vigil Shouderpads my character can’t hold all weapons properly.

Race: Asura

As you can see I’ve also try it many of the common white weapons that can be bought from the vendors, the effect is the same.
Everything goes to normal if I hide or unequipped the Vigil Shouderpads. I don’t have the same problem with other shoulders.
You can see that I’ve remodelled them with the shoulders from Twilight Arbor (dungeon), but I think that is not the problem, because I bought not remodelled Vigil Shouderpads and the problem is still there.

It was first reported on Norn Cultural sets though. They might’ve fixed those already because of it. I swear to you, I had the very same issue when I first got my Heavy T3 on my Norn main.

My plants face is broken. Or has a fungal growth. Most is on the right side of the face but there is a bit of grey on the other side (most noticeable when he blinks). You can see the discoloration in the attachment. I’ll also mention that I’d love to use a ton of shields but I won’t because they are narrow/flat and clip with basically every heavy armor in existence.

Weapon animation glitch

weapon: Ghastly Longbow – Requires level 80- Exotic- Bought from Ascalonian Catacombs Vendor in Lion’s Arch

Issue: The beautiful swirls disappear once you fire off a shot. You have to un-equip/re-equip it in order to restart the animation. Huge disappointment.

here is a vid i made showing the effect and how it shuts-off when you use it. Also how it -turns on when you un-equip/re-equip it.

*Note that this might be a problem that varies with different professions. One of these people noted that the bow didn’t bend right or the string didn’t snap on his warrior, but didn’t mention anything about the animation.

Issue with Protector’s Armor (Human Tier 3 Cultural Armor, Heavy)

Severe and much evident clipping while wearing this armor set in combination with pretty much any greatsword (see attachment). The cloth garment on the back also causes clipping with other weapon types: rifles, hammers, bows and quite possibly staffs are all affected.

This could be easily fixed by moving the attachment point for weapons. This armor set is quite expensive and such an obvious glitch is annoying and not acceptable.

I’ve found an issue with the Primeval Pauldrons shoulder equipment.
Dyes on the item cannot be changed or removed, whenever dyes are attempted to change it has no effect and subsequently, unequipping the pauldrons or equipping another shoulder item causes the game to crash.

I don’t believe a screenshot is needed for this matter since it’s not a clipping issue but a game bug. Also I wouldn’t know what to screenshot beside the crash report window.

There are two bugs with this helmet, which I suspect are linked.

1. There is a dye slot that does not affect the appearance whatsoever. I’ve dyed it brightly red/pink in these screenshots and as you can see, no part of the helmet uses this colour.

2. You can’t dye the pelt; the main colour you put on the helmet (in my case a blue Sincerity dye) affects the tint of the pelt.

So I suspect that the unusuable dye slot is supposed to let us dye the pelt, but it is bugged and draws colour from the wrong dye slot. Added a third screenshot or comparison with a much darker main dye.

As you can see the pelt turned nearly black!

Aether (and any other Foefire / Mist weapon I have seen ingame) is not visible from behind while stowed. Only parts of the weapon that are not in LOS of the character are visible.
I tried a lot of armors/naked, armor colors, many different graphic options, but nothing resolves this problem.
The only way the make it visible on the back is if the camera is extremely close, see second screenshot.

First screen shows the bug. Please fix it soon, it affects so many expensive weapons.

When I swim in the water, a “silver” metal runs down the pants of my skirt. It only goes away after I remove the bottoms and put them back on again. Item: Berserker’s Conjurer Pants of the Afflicted.

Guild symbol on armor bugged.

I play a female sylvari guardian on Devona’s Rest. A few weeks ago I purchased the heavy guild armor from the guild vendor in divinity’s reach. When purchasing the armor the preview window showed a different but similar looking symbol than our Guild symbol. I bought the armor hoping it would correct the issue once I wore it (since it looked like a texture glitch). Our guild symbol for the White Lotus Society is a spiral like flower, please see screenshot.

Buying it did not fix the problem. Upon further scrutiny, I discovered that the guild symbol on my armor is actually correct, but has been mirrored down the center, likely due to the fact that the UV channel for that texture was also mirrored.

Has anyone else had something similar happen to their guild symbol, and if so, mind telling if they have had any luck getting it fixed?

Also, I’d like to note that I have another sylvari character, a thief, and her medium guild armor has no defects or problems at all. Thanks!

The animation of the eyes of my Charr suddenly don’t work properly.
Even in cut scenes, character selection or just in-game.
The pupil is gone, and the color isn’t so bright anymore.
Anybody knows what to do?

Description:
With the sword drawn and standing still the weapon is held as it should be. No issue there. Once you start running, however, the sword sort of ‘shifts’ and instead of being held at the grip, it looks as if you are holding it at the pommel. When you stop running, the sword slides/slips back to its normal position in the character’s hand. Attached screens show character stationary with weapon held properly and character running with the sword being held at the pommel.

Images were taken at night so sorry if it may be difficult to see.

Issue: Significant clipping
The priory chest piece clips with the priory shoulders, leggings, and boots, even when the character is just standing there. Armor pieces of the same set should not clip with each other. I just bought this set; can’t wait to see my character’s new armor fixed.

The issue may have to do with my character being max height.

The recent patch has resulted in a glitch with the positioning of swords on male Sylvari (pictures 1,2). They’re now sitting crooked and pointing out at an angle, and one of them is floating further off the hip. It’s really noticeable.

This has been an issue for a while, but the light vigil legging’s skirt dents inward and clips into the leg (picture 3) when the knees are bent too far, such as when a staff is drawn.

(I noticed the weapons clipping into female Sylvari hips has been fixed, so thank you for that.)

Hey’a. I noticed an annoying lil’ bug. Hopefully you can fix it.

I’ve noticed that whenever certain armors are equipped as the Asura, the weapons (All weapon types) clip into the character’s wrist. I’ve tried equipping and unequiping some armor as the asura, and I confirmed that it’s only when you wear certain armors.

First two screenies are with bugged helmet, showing the clipping. The second is showing it unequipped, no clipping.

since the update all the hats i bought or won on gw2 is not showing anymore… they worked fine before but now they dont show up on the character….

p.s. in the picture my character is the green silvary one…. that human was following me because of the broom! he wanted a ride!

1. The belt is slightly clipping through other part of the leg armor model. It seems it’s problem with Strong Splint Legs model because when I was trying to remove other parts of the armor, the clipping was still visible.
2. The second screenshot is not a problem with clipping (well, there is problem with clipping but nothing I would like to report). Problem is with the visuals of the Frostfang. Point is that majority of heavy armor gloves are very massive and because of that the effect of frozen wrist is not visible. Draconic gloves are somehow decent still the ice is almost invisible. The question is if you would be able to replace hand model with completely frozen one or increase the size of the ice covering. Please check also screenshot number 3 for your reference (the character on the left side – left hand). I understand that it must look decent however some improvements are really necessary.

Please tell why as of the patch yesterday that the Corrupted shortbow looks like this? I’m a little horrified that a bow that requires 30 corrupted lodestones to be crafting, has such an appalling appearance in comparison to let’s say the Corrupted greatsword. Please change it back to the way it used to be, not this pathetic excuse for a weapon which is selling for 60+gold on the TP. (second picture is pre-patch)

Since the last update, the legs of my Invader’s Acolyte Pants have been bugged – you just see the Sylvari’s distorted bark beneath the robe part of them.

Its been hard to find boots and pants I like in the Medium Armor type for my Charr. while crafting for my Sylv yesterday I found a pair of pants I like (Seeker). The problem is it has 2 dye slots that dye properly on my Sylv the Belt & the Straps around the legs. But when I use on my Charr it only dyes the belt slot and not the straps around the legs. Its very frustrating as I finally found a pair of pants I like. and its not like the straps rn’t visable on the Charr.
