Jump Puzzle Bugging Out
Exact same issue on Fort Aspenwood. Have completed this puzzle before ankitten ow bummed at not being able to get my loot!

Hey everyone,
Thank you so much for these reports — we’re aware of this issue and are working on getting it fixed as soon as possible.
Until the problem is fixed, if you really want to do the puzzle you can stock up on teleportation guns in timberline falls and use them instead of the spinners. Best of all, you can take others along with you as the guns leave a sort of portal. You still have to do the puzzle as normal, but it’s not too much harder using the guns.
It’s also possible to reach the diving platforms using this technique. I did it earlier by jumping from the rocks to the first spinner, teleporting to the second and jumping onto the pole that sticks out at the front of the diving platform section. I would definitely recommend bringing some friends (especially mesmers) along to revive/portal you if you miss.
Hopefully the problem will be fixed soon. I think this is one of the harder jumping puzzles in the game, but teleportation guns make it even more extreme. If you make it to the top successfully, you’re probably ready to take part in takeshi’s castle.

Having the same problem with the Aetherblade jumping puzzles in Gendarran Fields. Server is Jade Quarry. I hope this gets fixed soon.
Doesn’t exactly fix the bug, but if you have an engineer, you can bypass these launchpads with jumpshot (rifle#5).

This place needs a waypoint badly. Soloing with nobody around is not a good idea.

Bigger updates are every 2 weeks, with the next one being tomorrow. Patience is a virtue With a few million players in this game and more codes in the datafile than a number you can pronounce don’t expect to be first in line to receive cookies. If this really was a big issue that was breaking the game they would gave it an immediate fix, but it isn’t.
The spinners are still broken even after the large update. There are so many different threads on forum about the puzzle, too. Maybe Arenanet would pay more attention if all the posts were under one thread…
Please fix the problem soon!!!

If it was a small bug I wouldn’t mind so much, but it’s preventing this JP from being started entirely.

This is the type of content I expect ANet to proactively fix ahead of more minor concerns, but expecting a solution after 2 weeks is asking a lot. If you ask for the fix this quickly, you are asking for a fix that isn’t fully tested… And that could leave things immeasurably worse.
Seriously, cool your heels a bit. Ask again in 2 more weeks.
If they have a fix in the pipeline by then they may indicate such (or they may remain silent and you might have to wait a final 2-4 extra weeks to see any fix, depending on what the actual release schedule is, and how hard the bug is to fix). Software release cycles are slow for many reasons, and bug fixes need to be slow for their own reasons as well…mostly so that QA has a chance to spot any new failures the fix may introduce.

I think the impatience is simply because this WAS working and then was broken with an update. It shouldn’t be too terribly difficult to figure out what changed in the update 2 weeks ago that caused it to break and undo it. It’s not like this was brand new content that was deployed in a bugged state. I’d be a lot more tolerant if that were the case.
If you absolutely need to do this for the Dive master achivement, here is a list of what works and what doesn’t to clear it at the moment:
- Engineer jumpshot (best)
- Warrior sword leap
- Guardian GS leap
- Teleportation gun (worst, can bug out/have strange behavior)
Ranger leap doesn’t work as it ignores height. I didn’t test Thief. The range on any skill that is used needs to be at least 600 units distance.
I managed to do both the Not So Secret and Dive master achivements even with the jump puzzle broken, however let me tell you it was no walk in the park. This jump puzzle is already hard so having to use work around mechanics on it especially at the highest platforms near the dive is essentially hard mode. :P

And what likely broke it was a fix for some other problem, or possibly a subtle game mechanics change that is ‘terribly difficult to figure out’.
Regardless, all software has a release cycle, violate it at your own risk. Allow at least a month for anything but emergency fixes to go through this cycle, while this is an annoyance, it doesn’t break an entire aspect of the game, just a small section of one zone with several available work arounds.
If it was a fix that broke this (something i consider likely having seen past posts on the puzzle), a failed fix usually has the staff interested in ‘fixing it for good’ the second time around, not in backing out a buggy patch. Reverting the fix to restore old bugs will only aggravate the players who had been blocked by the old bug, and fixes nothing. (‘Why did they break it again? It was working fine last week…’)
Yes, it’s aggravating. Yes it makes that content harder. I’m still patiently waiting for a scaling fix to the veteran risen subjugators so I can roll the Temple of Balth multiple times a day. I’m not here whining ‘why hasn’t this been fixed yet?’ Instead, I’m trying my hand at the difficult content before something easier is put in its place…. After all, if I can manage the Hard Mode edition, the Easy-Mode Balthazar will be a push over.

So those of you who were able to do it using a teleportation gun… how’d you do the last jump? That’s where I am stuck on now. I have a necro.
You have to stand behind the spinny thing, aim for the intersection of the tubes, and then hit the teleportation gun. Indeed, a way to make this already incredibly difficult JP just that much harder.

I play a ranger and cheated my way through it using monarchs leap. It’s a bit tricky, but do-able. I just couldn’t get the gears to work

If you just got back there then you only scraped the tip of the iceberg on the puzzle itself.
Its been 3 months since this thread was opened i cannot understand what is taking so much time to fix this problem…
I first thought you have changed the puzzle.
i’m guessing the most recent patch didn’t fix this?
