Dear Arenanet,
first of all I’m filling this bug report because it’s not the first time it happens, it’s actually been happening quite a lot since the latest February patch.
So as you will be able to see on the video, I was streaming the whole time without any lag issues. I even checked my teamspeak ping and it was around the normal 100ms I got all the time.
This is what happens, as far as I can tell: while in Heart of the Mists I can cast my skills normally. When I enter a PvP map it’s usually fine in the beginning (warmup as you’ll be able to see in video and first 30s of the match) but after that you’ll notice no characters move or do anything, just me running around the map. I could even talk in party with a friend and he didn’t have any problems. After that, I restarted the game (couldn’t relog, I tried pressing esc and it didn’t pop) tried logging with my main character and even another and the issue kept on going. Right after the match and back to heart of the mists i could play normally again. This also happens sometimes when I go to PvE maps like Cursed Shore where I can run all over the map but can’t cast any skills. This never happened since this game came out and I’ve been playing since then. It’s not my internet problem because if it was the stream would go offline and it didn’t stop.
I would like some insight on this.

Edit #1: Did a bit more testing today and it only happened in temple of the silent storm map. I created a second video where I play a 3 round tournament and both spirit watch and battle of khylo have no issues, when it comes to temple the story is completely different. Yes I agree, I am in Brisban Wildland, in the Gnashar’s Hills and the lag is so bad that I am saying to myself, “Why am I playing this game”, if arena net cannot fix this issue then I thing they will loose more people, people don’t want to just stand there looking at the foe and press the #1 key to attack an nothing happens..

See the “Network Lag” thread in the Tech Support forum. Its an ongoing issue, especially since the last patch.
