Make sure you are looking at the right crafting window, i thought the same thing but i was looking at armorsmithing when you need to be looking at weaponsmithing.
My husband crafted “Egg in a Cloud” for The Minstrel 1, but it didn’t give him anything. Is he supposed to eat it ? edit sorry, left my brain in my other head. Of course he has to eat it, as the item is not bound…

Because some of the items can be crafted in several disciplines, like the Legendary Inscription. But the Staff head and shaft needs to be crafted by an artificer 450.
Thats utterly stupid, and now ive wasted five gold, no more than that because i have to level an artificer right now. I knew it would be needed down the road, but my god that is freaking stupid.
if a recipe says i can make it on X profession, i expect to make the entire thing on X profession, not a part of it. I dont do alot of crafting anyways, i do have a full ascended set for my ranger, and the “Minstrel” crafted and thats how it worked for those recipes….
To the person who said look at weaponsmith, i was on my 500 weaponsmith.
The pvp community reminds me of what Obi-kittenenobi describes Mos Eisley as from star wars.

Why does no one of the people responsible for it post some useful information like:

I sended a report to anet, but i will write it here too. I did the 1 tier achiv for holwer the one with ambient creatures (there is ambient bull in the game). I got the chest and opend it to get a recipe with description – for Weaponsmith, Huntsman, Artifacer (450). So i was like 450 ? My huntsman is 428 so i will teach this to weaponsmith. And that was like a major mistake – only one of 4 recipes was for weaponsmith – rest was for huntsman. I ultra mad cuz its just so stupid and misleading, i would never teach it to charr who got 0 huntsman. Now i must grind huntsman from 0 to 450, that is just pointless, I did it before, I dont want to do this again, and it cost fortune (I could just buy holwer for the same price). My solution to problem – the NPC who sells legendary stuff can sell the recipes you unlocked. Also to avoid this stuff again just make the recipes for one crafting or make 4 separate recipes for each item. I hope someone will read this
Seems like every collection is bugged intentionally so the chaos at the TP from the expansion and Halloween don’t get abused . So i got all the mats and now i wait until after Halloween.
Killed Modniir Ulgoth earlier today, and instead of getting the Twilight Vol. 1 item, I got another of the same collection item from the Champion from Kessex Hills
Quaggan Freedom – event doesn’t start ever, before or after krait witch slayed. Grawl Subversion – Agent Merrick in the god skull’s event chain stuck there waiting for fuel that never comes….
Edit: somehow managed to get Grawl today by just killing the the Atrox Centurion not even recruiting all of the Grawl. I had done it before but it seems it doesn’t register everytime. So i guess im gonna keep killing the Krait witch and rescuing quagans after and see if that triggers ever…
REFUND my gold used to purchase the quest so I can put it in the pot to BUY a real dusk. Please refund my gold used to purchase the Bifrost and Incinerator quests also. I can use the gold to buy Linseed Oil or something that wont stress me out and make for game play I don’t enjoy, I’m sorry I even tried these quests. Thanks in advance.
Tar Elemental Core, for crafting the final iteration of Rodgort’s Flame, claims to drop from ‘fallen tar elementals’ but none of the many Tar Elementals I’ve killed in Orr and Ascalon, including Veterans and the Event boss, have dropped one.
Either the drop rate is unusually low or they don’t drop at all. If they don’t drop them that means the core is bugged or the description of the Tar Elemental Core needs to elaborate on what does drop it.
Yeah I’m working on the hunter and both the Scarlet’s Prototype Mechanism and the Decrypted Weapons Research are bugged. Anyone else having this issue?
Just did Ulgoth again today, he dropped Overlord’s Defeat once again. He is still bugged and this is blocking progress in the first tier of crafting Dusk.
Could a Dev let us know the progress or whats going on with Modnir being bugged and if we can see it being fixed, or that one achievement dropped fromt he table so we can continue with getting a legendary?..
That Chest is a one use thing that spawns a mob that have to kill in order to get the chest that you need, and since there are so many people trying to get there precursers what i suggest is when there is a new patch go up to where it is and restart your game and the patch should have restarted the chest (same thing goes for daily reset)
What i found is that when i need to give the master huntsman the torch heads and torch handles i can’t , basiclly i dont have an option for that , its just i’ll work on that or something like that.
Just did an urban fractal run for the red iris flower and it would not let me click on it, so i cannot finish my tier 1 crafting for Kudzu. Edit: After trying a new start 3 times it finally let me do it.
Im having a problem with the event in dry top from the sunrise I collection.
the hint say : Rescue the captive Zephyrites from the inquest in Dry top.
I did the event in Prosperity Mine, no Zephyrites were lost and i didnt get it. So i went to Abandoned Mine and did the event and still didnt get it. Dont know if its a bug or if im doing something wrong. Can anyone who completed that part of the collection help me?

Putting content in the gem store isn’t remotely the same as fixing bugs in the game itself. Have some patience. They’ll fix it. There are plenty of other things to do in Heart of Thorns in the meantime.

While I agree that launch has been very smooth for MMO standards, and most of the issues are in relatively minor issues, one can’t help but wonder why such simple issues that impact a large number of users are taking long to fix.
Modniir for instance, is it so hard to remove his item from the collection? Fix it properly? Any of the other 30 possible fixes? And yet we see a ton of people complaining about it here and in the maps.
Anyways, great expansion release, but could realistically be better.

Same here…This one and the “Strange Energy Source” as well. They simply just don’t work.
Got 93% of bolt 3 for few days now. Only those 2 achis doesn’t work. Trying to patient, but I really would like to know when this issue gonna be fixed. Every patch I’m trying to make those achis, only dissapointment.
I like how the bug with Modniir’s ruin was supposedly identified 5 days ago and it’s still not fixed. If I took half that long to fix a problem, I would be fired.
Working on Juggernaut III: The Colossus, last thing I need is the Gravewater ooze: “Coat yourself with your Mystic Chromatic Ooze and take damage in tequatl’s watery grave”
after doing teq 6 times, just to get the whirlpool ability, I took dmg, but didn’t get the achievement.
EDIT: tried it again, apparently you need the coating before you get whirl pooled.
Bauxite Chemicals: NPCs to escort always get stuck in the wall (preventing progress) OR fail to spawn next to the crash-site. Letting them die and then reviving them does not free them from the wall.
Modniir Ulgoth: Gives the wrong collection completion credit – gives one for slaying an overlord in Kessex Hills instead of correct one for Harathi Hinterlands.

Explorer Loana: Upon completion of the quest does not properly become a vendor – can’t get collection item off her.
REFUND, I would still like a refund for the gold used to purchase these bogus quests that while known as bugged are ignored. I’ve enjoyed some of the HoT things like making up for lost time after the Elite mastery refund.
Since support hasn’t been helpful. There’s an issue with Frostfang I. If you accidentally destroy a jar with a dragon essence inside before having it distilled in the recommended spot, you can make a new jar but can’t recapture the essence.
Happened to me, stuck on distilling essence of Primordus in Kessex, and have been unable to grab essence from Megadestroyer with my Destroyer Jar, even if I get gold medal event participation it says ‘You need to help slay Megadestroyer to use this item’.
