Yesterday I mailed a bag to my brother but he never received it. I made it out to his character name, so maybe I thought I had written the wrong name. I sent him another bag to his player tag, and the second bag never got to him either. Normally items get to my recipients immediately, but it has been at least 12 hours and he’s gotten nothing. Is there something wrong with the mailing system or is there a huge lag since lots of things are being mailed? A few days ago I mailed a weapon skin to my brother and there wasn’t any problems, so I’m not quite sure what’s going on.

I can confirm this bug. I rarely use the mailing system, but the last three times I tried mailing something, the recipients did not get their mail either. I believe the bug got so bad that mails fail more often than they succeed.

Right now, there is no reliable way to give an item to a friend. Please Arenanet, look into this with haste, and until you do, at least warn players that mailing is bugged at the moment. What if people start mailing really valuable items, like exotics?

I have the same Problem my friend mailed me some weapons and I never received them the second time I made him make sure he has the name right and he is 100% sure

The mail folder is for the account, not for the character. So your answer will be true only if your hero is the first character on your account.

I tried some more stuff today. My brother sent me a test mail today. I can receive mail from my brother, but when I tried to do “return to sender” he never got it back. Not sure what is going on here.

You are correct. I had him delete some of his old mails and he got all the mails I sent him even the one I sent back to him. Thanks for helping me solve this problem everyone.
