I just finished all the maps in the game, have the achievment and the title but I didn’t receive the gift in the treasure chest. Has anybody else had this problem? I already sent screenshots to Anet on support page and reported a bug in-game. Here is a screenshot, Thanks.

The bug you asked us about should have been fixed by now. In order to resolve your issue, please try the following: (Please Note: even if you have already been to this area you will want to complete the steps below again now that the bug fix has been implemented)

1. Log into the game with the character that has the 100% world completion.
2. Go to Bloodtide Coast via Lion’s Arch and enter the Chantry of Secrets.
3. Make sure that you have claimed the “Sanctum of Secrets” Point of Interest within this map instance.

If your issue is still not resolved after completing these steps, then your problem might be caused by certain skill challenges. Some of the skill challenges require you to consume an item. If this item has been consumed in a zone other than the one in which the skill challenge is located, you will not receive the rewards for 100% world completion. If that is the case, I suggest that you revisit every map in the game and that should resolve your issue and grant you your items.

If you continue to have problems, please respond to this ticket and we will look into this issue further.

I am sorry to hear that the map achievement reward has still not appeared for you. Generally we find that players are resolving the problem by revisiting each the following cities.

- Lion’s Arch
- Rata Sum
- Black Citadel
- Divinity’s Reach
- Hoelbrak
- The Grove

If it is still not working after revisiting all of those locations, please take a screenshot of the character’s map window and attach it to this ticket.

just wanted to mention i had the same problem.
however a visit to the chantry of secrets instance solved it for me, despite that i already had the PoI in there

Most Complete Character is 100%. But i did not get a star or a gift. (I got nothing)

Do you have 100% map completion? As in all vistas, hearts, skill points etc. the percentage listed on your world map. Because completing the title and map are two separate entities, the Been There, Done That title is from exploring all the covered up areas on a map.

That said, some people are experiencing the bug of not getting the gifts/star even at 100% map completion. If so, then that could be your issue.

I have 100% World Completion:

“One solution is visiting the Chantry of Secrets to trigger the world completion reward.”

This did work on the 2nd try.

I just complete the map at 100% all interst point, route, views etc….and they give me the reward for complete the last zone, but no for the most important, the 100% Map chest with my Exploration Gifts.

The map is complete atl 100% and they give me the title but no Exploration Gift, i would like help to fix.

Edit: I just fixed after reading some solutions here, come back to whisper cathedral ( i alredy had explored ) and go back to the last interset point, work for me, but is a great bug, i expect a fix soon.

Sorry Bad English. I already gone to chantry of secrets but still I don’t have my rewards ( Gift of Exploration ) how can this be happening . the last map i completed was at WvW.
btw i have the title “been there done that” but no star icon and no gifts of exploration.

my friend got 100% also and gave no rewards after completion. But when he goes to chantry of secret he finally got it but mines got nothing. please help.

I too did not get the gift of exploration when i got the title.
tried all advise,didnt work also.
I did everything on here and still nothing.

My friend had a similar experience. The both of us were doing the map exploration for both our characters. I was able to finish mine first and he finished his a day later. He was quite disappointed that he did not received the Gifts of Exploration after completing 100% of the map. He showed me a screenshot showing all the waypoints, vistas, points of interests, skill points and dynamic heart quests had been 100% cleared and he also told me that he received the title but he still has no star beside his name.

He did all the known steps he found on the forums (namely the “Chantry of Secrets” thing) but still did not received the Gifts of Exploration.

The next thing he did after this was he went and teleported to all the map locations and found that he had not opened the reward chest (the one you see each time you finish a map or after completing daily quests or dungeons) on one particular map. After opening the chest, another reward popped up and he was able to obtain the Gifts of Exploration.

I would like to suggest A-net to implement a sort of “this particular map area has been completed 100%” notification of sorts to the player after receiving the chest reward each time the player views the world map. For those who are doing map exploration, it becomes confusing at times due to the fact that you cannot distinguish which maps you had already finished from those you haven’t, especially, if one was only able to open up areas of a particular map without even completing dynamic heart quests or whatever.

yeah thanks drensky it works as you said I had missed a chest from a map and after gaining it, The Gifts Of Exploration pops up. Thank you so much. PROBLEM SOLVED.

I have this problem too i make the map 100% today and no gift ….. pls repair this problem

I made 100% of the whole map and i did not receive gifts of exploration, only a reward chest. :/ I have been in “Chantry of Secrets” too and did not get anything. I am really
dissapointed and i do not know how to solve this problem. Only thing what i have from this is title Been There, Done That. Hope you A-net somehow help me. Sorry for my English.

100% Map completion
Chantry of Secrets completion
Reward chest from EVERY completed zone

Some people have stated that you can get the gifts of exploration by revisiting the Chantry of Secrets, not by waypointing, but by traveling there via the asura portal in Fort Trinity. Worth a check at least.

I just 100% the world on my Asuran Elementalist and I did not receive my gifts of exploration! I got my Been there Done that Achievement/Title but I didn’t get my Star or my gifts! Please tell me I’m not screwed on this?!

You may have forgotten to open one of your explore reward chests. Go from zone to zone (probably in backwards order) and look at your bottom right of your screen.

I’m pretty certain I’ve never forgotten one considering I aim at completing maps 100% and I always rummage through the rewards, also my character selection screen says i have 99% but in game it says 100%…..

After checking for human error, open a formal ticket with the GM department to get your bug resolved. =D

I managed to finally complete my exploration this morning after waiting about 3 weeks for my server to finally capture the last tower i needed. However, when i did complete i only got the Area chest and not my 100% completion chest. I wondered if it was because i was in WvWvW but i still didn’t get it when i teleported to Lions Arch or after i relogged.

Server: Ring of Fire
Char: Little Miss Zelda (Asuran Elementalist)

A while back on my ranger, I had to zone into the Chantry of Secrets once and that gave me the gifts. Try that out. (Though, when I got 100% world completion again on my elementalist, I didn’t have to do that. That was about 2 weeks ago.)

Ill try it when i get home but i am not sure it will work as i choose the Order and have been there many times.

I have experienced this today , chantry was the very last POI when i went there i got the reward pop for completing 1/1 POI in chantry, after that nothing. relogged went in and out of chantry again, went to LA nothing got my star on login and title , but no star above my name and certainly no gifts.

Hi it’s been almost 2 to 3 weeks since i finished my explorations, and i HAVE YET to receive my gift of exploration. I’ve put up several bug reports but NONE of them have been replied to. This makes me wonder whether you guys even CARE about the fact that your game is bugged. And yes this is a very annoying and game breaking bug as due to this idiotic bug, i am unable to craft my legendary at all. Please reply and FIX THIS ISSUE. and yes i have already done what other ppl on the forums have suggested including going to the hidden wp for order of secrets thing. 5 times in total. n

That is weird, I just finished my exploration a couple of days ago and got my GoE instantly.

In your H panel, under Achievements, under Explorer.. is Krytan, Orr, Maguuma, Shiverpeak, or Ascalon incomplete?

Did you go back to Chantry of Secrets the waypoint way, or through Fort Trinity asura gate?

After all of that it was the Chantry! I had the POI but when i went in there an Area chest (empty) poped up with my World completion chest! Thanks everyone for your help!

I had this same issue, and the same location, i had already been to the chantry but thats where my map completion stuff appeared at for some reason.

Reading over the reply above does one now need all the Explorer achievements to get the items? The reason I am asking is my son received the items Months ago without needing those.

I am talking about the Krytan, Maguuma, and the Shiverpeaks Explorer.

Dear Gaile, i did everything You told us, including counting every points of interest, vistas, WP’s etc. by myself. And i tried to discover all places in Southsun Cove ( i get ONE POI missed) and still i did not get reward (Gifts).

After my World completion – I don’t receive reward, I was every where inc Lion Arch new poi and Order of Wispers instance.

I too have 100% map completion but didnt receive my gifts of exploration. Ive made a ingame ticket but no response. Ive tried all of the troubleshooting steps but still no gifts. Help!!
