Not sure why, I got around this bug Friday and today by being on my level 63 charr in Snowden Drifts.

I thought it was fixed Friday when I just happened to be leveling a alt in that area and then noticed they didn’t reset Saturday on my main in Lion’s Arch. For some reason being on a different character in Snowden Drifts worked for me.

I am not sure why, maybe this will help some people.

ok here is a theory after reading through all of the many pages on the forum about this issue. it appears to be caused by the megaservers. and since everything is account bound now, it seems to me if one of your characters is on a megaserver and one is not, then you might be having a problem with the resets. some people claimed that all of a sudden their accounts started to work fine, but the devs had gone home for the weekend and were not going to fix the issue until begining of next week. I had two of my characters on megaservers over the last few days because i don’t play them that often and two that weren’t. so today in about 3 hours and 30 minutes i will see if my theory is correct as i have moved them all to vigil keep

I tried this theory. I had all my characters in Vigil Keep at the time of the last reset, and the issue did not resolve itself. When it came for the dailies to reset, the daily timer was at 00:00 until I moved into another map, when the bug resumed with all dailies complete. Steps I took:

1) Moved all characters to Gendarran (Vigil Keep)
2) Stayed logged in to my main when the dailies rolled over
3) Moved into a megaserver map when I saw they did not reset

What I’m going to try to do today:

1) Still have all characters in Vigil Keep
2) Be logged out/offline when the dailies roll over
3) When I log in, if the timer is at 00:00, instead of zoning to a megaserver map, zoning to another non-megaserver map.

We’ll see how it goes.

I managed to get my daily to reset by

putting all my alts on to gendarran or non megaserver zones before reset
exited gw2 and waited until a few mins after reset
started gw2 and logged into an alt

Not sure about dungeon reward reset etc, but will test later on

My dailies did not reset yesterday or today. I logged out during when the reset was supposed to happen, in the hope that it might help, but it did not.

Dodger, Gatherer, Recycler, Leveler, and Events achievements all already say they have been completed, even though that’s impossible (it’s been a few minutes since the reset should have happened). I didn’t get a chest yesterday and now I won’t get one today. :/

Yay, My Daily Reseted today! I was in DR when i logged in, 5 or 6 minutes before reset.

Any works if we are going to get any kind of compensation? I mean, i lost 4 days of daily and dungeons runs.

GUYYYYYSSS. So, I have been bugged for 2 days. But today i was switching char.s while reset was happening (not intentionally) when i spawned into game my dailies reset and i can do dungeons again.

So to whoever is still bugged try either:
- Switching char.s right at reset
-Be in HoTM
-Or dont be in game..
I’m still mad for not being able to get dailies or do dungeons for 2 whole days. I still this ANet needs to compensate.

Dailies bugged again. I put my character in Gendarran Fields, exited client at around 4:45pm server, and logged in at 5:05pm server.

Look on the bright side: ArenaNet must be a pretty stress-free place to work, if they can tell users affected by a game-breaking bug to kitten off for a week so no one has to work after 5pm on Friday (due to the company’s own incompetence at patch scheduling and testing, of course.)

There’s a fix for it, before the reset happen, just log on a different character that the bug triggered on and wait it out after the reset. Your daily will reset.

This is happening to me too; doesn’t seem to be happening to everyone though, my guildies is working fine.

Oh wow, I also realize now that my crafting timers also aren’t resetting – there’s the other half of the game for me. :/

If Anet’s intention is to drive people away from their game, they’re sure doing a good job at it.

Would have had my daily done the last three day and got my monthly, but now I am stuck. Also no Home instance farm as well. When will this be fixed.

I just ran into this tonight. Everything was fine last night and earlier today. Then I logged on after the reset and all of my daily stuff seems to be bugged. I can’t craft ascended mats because they immediately went on cooldown when the daily reset, my daily achievements are at 3/5 despite not doing any of them tonight (they were at 0/5 before I tried logging in again), and daily chests aren’t triggering.

I almost started a thread about the crafting issue as I didn’t even realize it was connected to this problem.

I’ve been bugged since the patch and not even world boss chests (the ones on the ground) would reset. When logging in after the daily reset however, those chests would reset, but not any of the account bound daily rewards. For example, I would get all the chests from Tequatl except the exotic the one, nor could I get the Karka Queen chest, though I could get the other world boss chests, such as Jormag, etc. I’m not 100% positive it’s related to logging in after the reset since it’s been every other day that I have done so (as in it could be a 48h reset).

I find it slightly funny however that a fix isn’t expected until after a certain beta weekend is over.

Mine is still bugged and has been since the patch.

Bugged for 3 days now. Logged in and daily was at 5/5. All timers did not reset.

Have been passing time doing paths I have not done – at least I get rewards for those. But those are limited.

ANet better fix this quick

I am having a problem with crafting timers since the update a few days ago. I can’t craft Spools of silk or elonian cord. Timer keeps auto resetting to 24 hours.

For the past 3 days I have had to log out of the game in order to get my dailies to reset. Also, the nodes in my home instance are not resetting. I have not been able to farm them for the past 3 days. Please help, Arenanet!

I’m logged out whenever dailies reset, it still has not fixed it for me. I have not been able to do dailies since the day after the patch, I know it takes time to find bugs but this is an important feature of the game.

I also get no chest resets for world bosses. This really sucks. XD

I thought I was losing my mind. At first I was thinking that there wasn’t a way for it to get stuck, that maybe I was completing my dailies and not noticing. However, looking back at it all, I haven’t had my dailies reset since patch release. Add me to ever growing list.

yeah this is ridiculous, I can’t believe it’s not top priority to fix… it’s taken so long and they fixed things I’ve never even seen people complain about; and then there’s this.

I suddenly got my daily bugged too; dungeon chest floor and dungeon daily reward.
We don’t know how hard is this to solve, but i hope its priority cause this is a “daily rewarding game”, and when the essence of the game isnt working, players do not enjoy it.

Wrong theory, I have one and only one character and I have the issue.

Reading what gamers encounter is very interesting : there is not one main issue affecting them, but several ones with different mixed results for each player.

I connected myself after the reset today (I am in Europe), I have no reset and I still have the 5 dailies that I already did, completed. I did a new one that was available today and got 1 point. Notice that this one was not available before the reset.

I did several WBs , Karka Queen, The Golem and The Wurm and got monthly success update + first and second chest for each one. My home nodes do not reset.

Weird complicated bug imho, I am not a computer science specialist.

This is a very weird bug, but I managed to un-bug as well. What I did was move all my characters to Cursed Shore and stay off-line during the reset. Still, that wasn’t a solution from ANet, maybe was only luck or some weird software behaviour, and I lost 3 dailies and a lot of dungeon rewards. :/

Some racist folks complained about seeing other languages in chat? Better push out a fix that enables a communication-breaking option by default, STAT!

A core part of the game is completely broken for a substantial amount of people? Eh, it can wait until next week.

Same situation. I imagine this is why I can only progress my PvP rewards in solo/team queue, also, instead of the 2 tiers per daily in the “server 0##” ones as all my other guildies are able to do so. The fixes people are offering must be working for a reason other than what we think, since it’s not working for everyone. Getting a bit tired of it at least another dev post with an update would be nice.

I never post on these forums. They’re a breeding ground for rumors, hype and all around buffoonery, but I think I’ve reached the point where I can no longer defend the developers or the game itself. There are some serious underlying problems with this system that have gone unchecked due to unknown circumstances. I’ve had a ton of fun before, but I think a multitude of tiny annoyances have built up and toppled my view of Guild Wars 2. I don’t think there’s been a single update since Bazaar of the Four Winds where I thought, “wow, this game still amazes me.” If ArenaNet can’t manage their issues efficiently, they’re going to start losing player interest faster than ever.

I try not to troll or be overly critical or rude because this game is free and I enjoy it and am grateful for it, but this daily problem is a disaster that needed an immediate fix. So many things are being lost. Not getting chests in dungeons, not getting the daily reward from dungeons (loss of badges AND gold) and not being able to complete the daily since today I logged in to find 5/5. I’m not playing anymore until it’s fixed, plain and simple. Hopefully that’s tomorrow and not a week from now, but I’m not wasting anymore time doing anything that’s going to give me nothing.

Well, I tried my second idea, with a little change based on the the posts read here:

1) All characters parked in Gendarran.
2) Logged off an hour before reset, logged back in 5 hours after reset.
3) Selected a character that I did NOT use when the bug occurred.
4) Loaded into the game. Bug still persisted.
5) Tried moving to Divinity’s Reach. Bug persisted.
6) Tried moving to Snowden Drifts. Bug persisted.

Not fixed for me yet. If there is no dev fix today, I will try to have another character in Snowden online when the daily reset occurs. That’s the last thing I haven’t tried (based on these posts).

Someone say we should log on right when reset happens to fix it. I really glad it’s working for someone. But for me daily reset is at 5AM. So because developers can’t do their work and don’t care about players problems (players who bought the game and still buying gems) I should stay awake all night to try fix THEIR bug?

… And this 6th day already.
6 days in gold from dungeons and FotM levels and selling rares/ecto from loot.
6 days without world bosses
6 days without ascended craft
6 days without dailies (exp for alts, Achievment points, Laurels)

So… Who’s gonna refund it?

I don’t know what anet did, but my dailies today work fine. I could get laurel from daily achiv, dungeon boss chests appeared properly and also fractal daily chest. (Still need to observe to make sure this bug won’t come out though)

You can tell me i’m greedy but then what would happen to compensation of my last 3 days rewards? Thanks for this bug, I missed more than 1 fractal daily chest, plenty of golds and of course laurels. Most of all, which makes me really angry is that I wasted my time playing bugged gw2 for nothing.

I had my Necro all night on Gendarran, i did cof with my necro, no chest. This isnt something you should do to get your chests. They kittened up the algoritm they should be solving it.

I think it is top priority. But keep in mind, that it is easter and the devs are at home with their familys and for most people the problem started at friday, only a few (including me) reported this bug already on thursday/wednesday. I guess, when easter is over, it will get fixed asap.

I need to buy ascended weapon recipes aswell…

I am having the same issues…dailies not resetting, home instances of nodes not resetting. I also did not get chest reward at karka queen twice. I was one of the people affected by the bug that would not allow you to use chat, if that is of any help. I also normally park my toons in The Grove. I hope you get this fixed soon, it’s spoiling the game.

As of right now this bug is still not fixed for me.

It affects my dungeon rewards. My crafting Cooldowns. My sPvP reward progression. And loot from World bosses.

Seems like I can do something once and after that I wont recieve anymore rewards for the event.

Hoping its fixed soon.

One would hope…and yet still, we won’t get compensated for missing out on five days of this occurring.

I’d like to have my lost laurels and ascended crafting materials back, please.

Hi, my daily mission did not reset , and I didn’t get Dungeon complete reward since 4/18.

For some days now: no daily chests in dungeons and no reset in daily achievement, so no laurels. It’s a little bit less interesting to spend some time doing pve activities.
It would be nice to have a compensation when all these bugs are fixed.

I’m going to add to this list. Yesterday my roommate completed Straits of Devastation and Cursed Shore and didn’t get the map completion rewards for either map.

Where is my monthly completionist chest? Also ive done over 10 AC runs in about a week and i havnet gotten a single chest/daily reward from it. Come on anet

Strange thing today is that my daily reseted but i dont get chests from dungeons. And yesterday i was alright. Im with like 4 days without doing dungeons because no chest reward for me.
