Hello,

This happened before the update (which, by the time I wrote this, wasn’t released yet). Mesmer Clones and Phantasms are naked and do not attack.

Happened to me in tourney. No idea what’s going on …

yea just happened to our mesmer in paid, lost round 1 needless to say -_-

Yes this just happened to me as well. Work fine on dummies but when you go into tourney they spawn naked and stand there.

This might have been related to some of the patch changes being implemented on the tournament servers before the patch actually went live; guess we will find out if they work again soon

Yep, they probably updated servers first, then rolled client update so illusions on client side were not compatible with servers’ code …
Because I got used to swapping to focus (on mesmer) during matches for speed boost, and it was blocked and now I read its added by this patch …

Hot fix this please.

Just played my first game since the new patch and any clones or phantasms I created with my mez appeared without armor and didn’t move until shattered. The same thing was happening with the two other mez in the same game.

ok tested it some, only happening to me in tpvp, which really sucks cause thats a lot of what i do. All clones and phantasms come out naked and just stand there. Please fix this soon!!!!!!!!

Illusions from GS and clones stand there doing nothing. They do not shatter either, thus breaking any and all shatters. Mesmer… boned again!

This should be #1 on your priority list and needs to be hotfixed now. This is game breaking. I had to completely stop using my mesmer in

can also say that this happened to me in tourneys. Phantoms did nothing and clones did nothing and were without armor. A very serious bug indeed

Hi Anet, currently ALL MESMER ILLUSIONS ARE BROKEN IN TPVP!!!!!!! Plz Address this issue. Would rather not have to wait a month to do tourneys.

I like how Anet state that they strongly support competitive gaming, and they just let this slide and go unfixed. A bug that ONLY affects competitive play, that breaks and entire class.

Sounds like I wont be playing my mesmer until this is fixed, except for perhaps crafting.

Since this problem exists only in tpvp, you can still play your mesmer in pve and wvw. Just saying, because you mentioned crafting.

I really wonder what Jonathan Sharp meant by: “we have the ability to fix extremly high priority thing quickly …” Hu? Really? I mean bugs that are gamebreaking like the loading-screen-bug wasnt fixed for a long time .. and i dont wanna know how long you need to fix this mesmer-bug. Until fix – its simply not possible to play a mesmer in tpvp.

Is there any kind of word on when or if this will be fixed? It’s pointless to play my mesmer now in tournaments, which is my main deal right now. It nerfs your damage and makes illusions only good for destroying. Last night I was in a tourney and at the end of it someone on my team said “lol we had a mesmer?”

Just letting Devs know that I am still having this problem

This is a huge problem that completely ruins a whole class in an aspect of this game!

In the last 5 pvp matches I’ve been in, there hasn’t been a single mesmer. People just aren’t going to play it. This is ruining the game for me, that’s for sure. Trying to learn another class (necro) on the fly so I can at least play.

This definitely proves that Anet is not doing ANY testing before rolling out updates …
Bugs like this just CAN’T slip through and then mods ignore bug reports on forums for reports like this because this thread doesn’t have “enough heat” to attract them… And that is happening not many people actually play tPvP compared to PvE players (around 1% maybe).

Nope still not fixed.

And no they didn’t break the whole class. Apparently there are mesmers that don’t have this issue.

Would a dev please come in here and tell me what process I need to take to help you fix stuff? Please I WANT TO HELP YOU fix your game so that me and others can enjoy it. I really want this game to be enjoyable for everybody.

What do I need to do? Give me a list or direct me to where I can find out how to effectively get bugs assessed, fixed, logged etc.

Include your customers in this part of the improvement process (if they want to be) and I guarantee you’ll have all kinds of issues getting sorted out

I get refracted for posts like this and they allow you to post like this. kittening bullkitten. Fix the mesmer clones already Anet, you’re too kitten slow.

Seriously, it’s as if they don’t give a puppy about PvP as opposed to the ridiculous PvE content released mothly and fixed (somewhat) immediately. Anet, fix your kitten.

36 hours since you destroyed Mesmers in tPvP, and not a single response on forums about this issue ?!
At least say “Yea, we are aware of the problem, we are working on it”, don’t just ignore us…
I’m aware that its Sunday, but then don’t make changes like this prior to weekend and then just go home and wait for Monday to get kitten fixed…

It may be the case that that some person in charge of these things has fallen ill. It can happen. If that was the case, it would indicate that A-Net is understaffed.
In any case, further delay will only provoke more guesswork on side of the community.

It’s not just in Pvp, GS skill Phantasmal Berserker is also broken in Pve. Stands there, throws one hit and shatters. Not playing mesmer till it’s fixed.

This bug is so severe, it basically prevents Mesmers from having any meaningful tournaments at all.

No. It just means a moderator combined the threads so they can gauge the scope of the issue more easily.

<43 people on the forums (many of which are your and mine) and not a lot of rage. This issue is about to get put onto the back burner.

Good thing I decided to work on learning another class who knows when this issue will be resolved.

I look forward to seeing a resolution

We’re aware. Should be able to fix it up on Monday. It’s part of the gear-locking change. We’ll probably turn gear-lock back off for a bit, and then push the real fix asap.

I think something may have to be done about mesmer’s core mechanic.

It seems so easy to break mesmer as a class. Every patch there’s something regarding our illusions that’s not intentional.

This is not funny at all. Please fix it as soon as possible.

No, it hasn’t been fixed with today’s patch. The problem persists in tPvP. Please let us know when we can expect a solution, A-Net.
