As far as I know, the first completion of the “You, Back in the Box” achievement, you are supposed to be rewarded with the mentioned item.

Unfortunately, after I finished the instance just a few minutes ago, the pop-up reward tab that shows up after the completed event was empty, with just the logo and the “accept” button.

Did something change with the rewards or we just we have a case of bugs, bugs everywhere?

Edit: and as Sandrell mentions I did recieved 2 cobs.

I completed “you back in the box” and it popped up 2 Candy Corn Cobs as reward, but they were not in my inventory. Under Festivals Blood and Madness it shows I completed it and that I have received the award. So what now??

They are a deposit-able material, so maybe you sent them to your bank accidentally, check it out.

Thank you very much, I feel so stupid. My inventory was full so hit deposit. I didn’t know they were collectibles.

I never received candy corn cobs for this (I have no candy corn cobs at all), is it because I completed it last year so it technically isn’t my first time? I didn’t receive candy corn cobs last year either – I’ve never possessed any candy corn cobs at all, I’ve never had enough candy corns to make even one so far lol

@Marge: The “Gift of Candy Corn” was the reward from last year, which is unfortunately not longer obtainable.

The Gift of Candy Corn was the meta-reward for last year’s Halloween, I believe. It is no longer awarded during this year’s Halloween. However, you can still purchase it from the Laurel Vendor under Season 1 rewards. (It’s pricey though!)

I completed the Back in the Box achievement last night and I was awarded the 2 Candy Cobs correctly. Hope you guys manage to get it sorted. :/

Hm. I haven’t done that one yet – the candycorn that I accepted but didn’t get was from finishing the meta.

Im pretty sure you can get a Gift of Candy Corn from the Halloween vendor for 3 or 4 cobs?

I’ve noticed the Wiki only lists Halloween 2013 (and 2012). There is no listing (well, not when I last looked) for Halloween 2014. Thus, one can not really use the 2013 information reliably for 2014.

I’m sure someone will create the new page soon.

It’s curious how they have recycled stuff for this release. It seems only rewards and achievements have something new. Story is exactly the same, that even Tassi’s first speech mentions about Dragon Bash (which didn’t happen this year).

About a wiki page, not sure if someone would create one since the most of the contents there still applies to current release. Maybe it will be updated or something. Anyhow, I haven’t completed that achievement yet and I’ll post back here if it happens to me too.

When I completed the Meta today, I received a mail stating that the second part of the Prince Thorn instance was now available because I had now achieved (and I suppose received) the Candy Corn Elemental. Even though that isn’t the reward (I received the Candy Corn Cob).

So, yes, things are just a bit wonky with all this, but I’m pretty positive the ‘Gift of Candy Corn’ isn’t one of this year’s rewards. (Candy Corn Cobs replacing the larger rewards, and the ability to turn them in for a reward of your choice, instead.)
