Same problem here

Keeps resetting, Windows 10, 64-bit client. The auto-loot feature of the Pact Commander Mastery also doesn’t seem to mention that it needs it, which it used to do. The game also isn’t tracking my selected Achievements anymore between restarts, so that’s pretty annoying as well. Guild Experience is for whatever reason showing as capped for me, with my personal solo-Guild being Lv.17, it says it is at 3550/3550 (—say what?).

Not related to Options and UI; I also noticed that seemingly every Guild Bounty NPC is not updating their locations in-game properly, but are rather teleporting once in a while, so they’re not possible to interact with (as I assume they are not where you see them, when you see them).

I beg to question what ArenaNet did this patch honestly. In what way were these things related to the Wintersday patch? It’s more bugged than I think I’ve ever experienced GW2 from a single patch. I mean sure, we have bugs here and there, but these are rather big bugs.

If that was tried and did not work, has anyone tried completely deleting the local.dat file where preferences are stored so a new one will be downloaded after loading the launcher? Perhaps this may help fix it.

“#2” only worked for me when I stayed in character select screen and change options. Restarting client didn’t reset. However as soon as I hit “Play” button and actually play the game, next time I logged in, the optioned were reset again.

Same bug. Very annoying.

Same here, General Options reset on game start. Same with daily trackings.

Please fix! I am one of many in my guild and friends that is having this issue! It is really annoying to have to reset my preferences every time I log into the game. It is resetting ui timers, movement choices (like double tap to evade) and looting as well. Please return us to some normalcy for game play, thanks!

EDIT: Using Windows 10, and this has happened with both the 32 and 64 bit versions

Same problem here aswell.
The changes I have noticed so far:
-reset of general settings
-reset of the achievment tracker
-reset of inventory options

Please fix that problem. Its annoying

Restarting client, relogging was both fine till I restarted the pc. Then option were reset when I logged game.

This patch is full of bugs! That is insane, I want my money back !

Cant log out without options resetting. Not even shutting down the game with the X button works, still gets reset.

Same problem here, my camera is strange and have option reset every log in. (my OS is windows 8.1 64bit)

Maybe the same reason some accounts have permanent bad RNG while others have permanent good RNG. Just saying…

Same thing here, on 64 and 32bits clients on Win7 64bits.

Moreover my game client keep having connection errors and reset after a few minutes in game. It happens since today.

Since last hotfix it has been intermittent on occurrence. Prior to that it was consistent. However, just logged in, everything reset again

I didn’t experience this yesterday, this is a new phenomenom today, I quit to desktop around 17:15 server time (uk time) for dinner logged back in 18:00 and my game updated (although there are no patchnotes for today, has there been a patch today since the balance hotfix?)

My y-axis setting, clock setting, all the autoloot settings and enable camera shake were all reset to default, although profanity filter is left untouched as “none” (thank God, it got some use)

Key bindings remain the same as I had previously set

64 bit client, Windows 10 64 bit Pro

Two PCs, both Win7 fully patched, both 64-bit client, both used the same with respect to ‘Exit to Desktop’, etc .. one has the problem the other doesn’t!

Only obvious difference is they they each log in a different account.

Win7 64bit SP1 (Home Premium)
Both clients (32 & 64 bit)

This actually didn’t start immediately after I launched the game after the patch yesterday. I had my settings when I logged into my main. After I swapped to an alt (this is maybe 30-60 minutes after logging in), I noticed all of the settings were messed up (back to default, that is) when I tried to farm some flax and it opened in a window instead of auto looting, then my inventory was a mess with bags showing, and I realized the camera was quite off, etc. Now sometimes after I’ve exited the game and logged back in, my settings have been saved and most of the time they haven’t been. Not sure if this helps.

Windows7, 64bit client. Just did my first login since exiting some time between 2 pm and 3 pm Pacific 12-15-2015 (it is now 11 am Pacific 12-16-15) and had all my General options reset to default. Happily my keybinds remain intact and I had an older screenshot of my camera settings.

I have not checked if it recurs, and likely will use the full logout chain listed above just to be sure until I see it posted as fixed.

I was not affected by this bug initially, but after a game restart last night it started happening consistently.

I’m using the 32-bit client on Windows 7 SP1 64-bit.

I typically close the game via [Esc] —> Exit to Desktop, or by using Alt+F4.

Still having the issue even after deleting the preference file and resetting things up I’m still having this issue.

I use Windows 7 with the 32 bit client.
I exit the game by opening the menu with esc and clicking exit to desktop.

I as well am having this issue, running Win 7 32 bit client. only started happening today.

I didn’t had this bug yesterday but got it now with your bugfix….

This is terrible. I spent 10 minutes getting everything mostly back the way I want it, and after the next login everything was back to default again.

Windows 7, 32 bit.

64-bit client, 64-bit Windows 7

64-bit patched Win7 pro, 64-bit client

64bit client both on desktop with win7 pro64 and on laptop with win8.1 64b
