I have very annoying bug with party UI. Often i cant see ppl in party when they join, I can talk with them at party chat, but cant see them in party frame and they are not marked as party on map. Quite often also im not getting invitation for dungeon when party member enter some dungeon and it works in bouth sides (we’re on same map ofc). Any help with this would be nice cuz its quite inconvenient.

All these happening in WvW, no ideea about other parts of the game (don’t like other parts) I asked other people about these and everyone had these new problems (started one month ago or so, probable with the “WvW” patch):
1. even if all party members are on the same map, but they are not close enough (like local chat distance), then their icon becomes black – very annoying new “feature”
2. sometimes, not always, when someone joins the party, their icon are not added, but they show up in blue party chat if they write something… have to leave party and join again to fix it
3. still cannot “kick” (should say remove) party members who left the party or logged out and forgot to leave party before
4. cannot right-click on friends list and choose “invite to party or join party” – even if both are on the same server – the only option is “report”. Why would I want to report a friend? For cheating? In that case no longer would be on the friends list, right?
So now we have to type in correctly the names in party menu to invite, which is not good enough in WvW… (don’t ask why)

The party menu is very poor, and now even worse than was before.
Is this a MMO or playing alone is the way to go? We need bigger parties too, like 10, not a bugged small one.

Aye, the party interface in wvw is seriously broken. Inviting guildies, allies, friends, is hard enough. Removing logged off members, or those in another map is impossible. Why?

My entire guild has been having issues with the party ui/window for a while now. It definitely was introduced for us with an update in past few months. Would be nice to get some sort okittennowledgement about said issue.

Just started getting this yesterday. If I /join someone, the membership request has no name above it. Then it disappears and I can /party chat, but can’t see anyone’s names/health on the side. Have to keep exiting to desktop and logging in over and over. Extremely frustrating.

I encounter this problem frequently. Rejoining the party corrects this… until someone else leaves or joins the party.

old topic. And still not repaired so important feature of this game..
Was not happening to me for long time. But now it’s happening about 3 times a day.. I’m gonna resign to play this game if this bug wont be fix, seriously.. can’t enjoy the game.

We all have the same problem. New problems are appearing such as party members appearing as offline.

Y, this option happens to me as well. They are offline, no lv, no character name, no class, no blue marker. But at least I’m not kicked from dungeon. SO FUN! Not..

Just happened to me when I use LFG to join a dungeon party. I cannot see anything but only be able to chat with /p. Reloging or restarting client didn’t solve the problem. I eventually got kicked. This is the first time happening to me, but I cannot use party the rest of the night. I hope tomorrow I can play dungeon. Otherwise it’s gg really….

The only way I know of “fixing” this is to restart the client. Even then there’s still no guarantee things will work out.

Y, that’s the important thing. It only happens (for me) when I form party with ppl from another servers (but not in 100%). Restarting client works in about 10% for me.
But a minute ago everything worked perfect, no problems at all. But surly they will happen again later.

It even happens to me if I’m on the same server as the other people in my party.

Gah. This is ridiculous.

Isn’t it? MMO game w/o working party system. It’s a joke..

Yeah I have the same issue sometimes when in cof groups.

Hi,

I got the same problem as you do.
I found that deleting the .DAT file fix it.
but, I have to do it before everytime i log in.

PS. deleting the .DAT file reset all your options ( Hey, you got nothing without nothing!)

Its been an ongoing issue for months now, I report it like once a week via the ingame bug system, yet Anet don’t even acknowledge it on there forums as a bug, this bug also affects entering dungeons/ fractals aswell as it can make you enter your own instance as you don’t get the pop up window.

Just started happening with me today. Cannot see group members and see no invitation for dungeons. Very annoying.

This just started happening to me today as well, but only sometimes.

First someone invited themselves to my party, but there was no name. I accepted it, but there was no portrait. We could still communicate via party chat, though. Then the party seemed to disband itself.

A few minutes later I got invited to a party and everything was working fine.
