Guild Wars 2

I just finished S2 Ep4 and the Pale Tree vision cutscene didn’t play. There was a black screen with her dialogue ending with “I’m fading” and then nothing until it brought me back to the game.

I then went back and realised that there was supposed to be a cutscene in Ep2 after entering Omadd’s machine, although I remember seeing a closeup of my char tumbling through space before dumping me back to the game.

I had to watch them on youtube. This is incredibly immersion breaking and really detracts from the story. I’ve tried verifying the game files, but I won’t be able to see if it works until I play through the story again. Not sure what else I can do to make sure I don’t miss cutscenes in the future. I almost don’t want to play the rest of S2 knowing I might not get the full experience.

Edit: Changes title to S2 cutscenes, since the intro cutscenes played fine.

Edit2: Must be prerendered cut scenes only. Any suggestions at all?

Edit3: Yep, only pre-rendered cutscenes. The end of S2 cutscene didn’t play, just a black screen, no audio, but it did have the subtitles playing. Do I have to redownload the entire client for this? Please someone respond.

The new Lion’s Arch cutscene didn’t play either… I’m missing out on awesome cutscenes. What can I do?

this still doesn’t seem to be working for me. I can’t see certain cutscenes from the Living Story S2, the video that pops up for the new Lion’s Arch neither for Marjory’s journal or the Zephyr Sanctum Model.

Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this?

Yeah, I sure won’t be buying the expansion if I can’t even watch the cutscenes. I don’t know what the hell is going on in the story right now, and I normally play games for the story

Yeah well, I already pre-purchased and don’t regret it but I’d really like this to be fixed. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of people suffering from this though…

So I decided to finish my Mesmers Personal story and it seems I’m stuck. Since the Personal Story was fixed it seems My Mesmer is unable to continue his story for some reason it wont progress for him. It shows he did the first step in Reforming the pack but thats it. Is there any ways to fix it?

Unrelenting Strikes trait doesn’t want to trigger itself when i use two pistols as a Thief, but it works for sword and dagger combination.

I am surprised I didn’t found anything about this issue, like it’s something only I have.

On top of that, I think that No Quarter trait gives too little Ferocity, only around 100 points, while the tooltip states it’s 250. Probably it scales with level, so no biggie, just messed up tooltip. I am more concerned with a trait that is not working and I can’t even swap it for something else (because it’s a minor trait).

i seem not be able to apply staff mark effects like chill and fear on enemies who are blocking

Due to latest patch we cannot (at least) change specilization lines in PvE and WvW. (still testing other things)

Your hero skills got reset and you can’t use them so the game probably thinks your trait lines aren’t unlocked. At least, your current selected trait lines still work as well as all your utitly skills.

This is what I have gathered atm. SPvP lobby works, wonder where ANet makes their QA tests…

All the S2 stories aswell as the achievements have been locked for me.
I have the option to buy the S2 story, even though i did them when they were released?
Same goes for the achievements of the story, all of them have been locked even though i have completed them all.

Same here. I was replaying season 2 to get the achievements but after the update it is all blocked (asks for 200 gems to unlock)

So, all training on my character has been reseted. But those 398 points from levelling were not refunded. Only 214 from 213 challenges + 1 krait obelisk remain on my character and that is not enough to retrain everything – I can change skills, but can not change specializations, so I am locked in my current build.

Hi guys, after new build, training seems to be broken.

Since the latest patch all of my traits have been erased, as in I do not have them any more, and all of my skill points are used from when I previously bought them.

If you turn Light Adaptation off and then relog or change map it’ll still stay on even tho you turned it off.
Please fix, it makes the game way too bright :/

Yep, here too. My build still exists, so i probably have to play it until this is fixed since i don’t have enough points to retrait.

Too elaborate, I previously had every trait on my guard unlocked, with around 1200 hero points to spare. I now have nothing unlocked and only 182 hero points.

why not just add the entire player model like normal? so including under the skirt like in all to most other armors/outfits

Same here, and all my collection were erased as well, i have 0/0 in all my collection, good patch xd

When I logged in the game after the last patch I lost all kind of stuff. My collections and PvP rewardtracks were reseted to nothing. Mailcarriers are missing too.

And also.. Lost all collection success!

Same thing here, plus reset collections and being locked out of living world even though it has already been unlocked. I presume it’s a problem with the update that just happened.

same here. all my achievements have been reset and locked too, including all the work I put into the luminescent skins (I had 1 pendant left to buy).

Same here. I also “lost” all silverwastes and drytop achievements (i have them all), all collections (i was almost finishing my luminescent set ), troll’s revenge jp, and god knows what more…

My issue was the inability to get our HoM pets.

My main account has this trait problem, but alt account has it in order.

Ditto for me. :/ I still seem to have the AP from it, though.

All the S2 story locked for me too.

Actually – at least for me – everything is still unlocked (I can use all the skills and traits) BUT in the Hero Panel under Training it looks as if everything was locked and I needed to relearn it. Weird.

I also lost all of my collection achievement data.

Sorry, I forgot also lost all success from story journal…

Ditto here, I’ve lost ALL assigned points, I had 214 spare ponts for each of my characters and they are still unassigned but I don’t want to use them until my assigned points are returned to me.

Yep, same here. All my traits are gone with no hero points returned (I don’t have enough to get all my traits again) and all my collections are gone too.

OMG my collection are all gone too! What a mistake.

Addendum/Correction: My currently equipped specializations in the Build panel work and so do all of the skills – even though they show up as not yet unlocked in the Training panel. However the specializations that I don’t have currently equipped show up as “not yet trained” in the Build panel
